  • This technical paper deals the practical transformation algorithms between several lunar reference frames which will be used for Korea pathfinder lunar orbiter (KPLO) flight operation. Despite of various lunar reference frame definitions already exist, use of a common transformation algorithm while establishing lunar reference frame is very important for all members related to KPLO mission. This is because use of slight different parameters during frame transformation may result significant misleading while reprocessing data based on KPLO flight dynamics. Therefore, details of practical transformation algorithms for the KPLO mission specific lunar reference frames is presented with step by step implementation procedures. Examples of transformation results are also presented to support KPLO flight dynamics data user community which is expected to give practical guidelines while post processing the data as their needs. With this technical paper, common understandings of reference frames that will be used throughout not only the KPLO flight operation but also science data reprocessing can be established. It is expected to eliminate, or at least minimize, unnecessary confusion among all of the KPLO mission members including: Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) as well as other organizations participating in KPLO payload development and operation, or further lunar science community world-wide who are interested in KPLO science data post processing.

  • As insurers have undergone changing customer expectations, increased cross-industry competition and restructured distribution channels, they need to enhance customer relationships, cut costs, increase agility and streamline operations while differentiating the core competency. As such, the importance of e-business transformation has increased where organizational core processes are restructured around customers and interned-based technology is adopted for flexible and adaptive information systems. This paper presents a case study of process innovation for e-business transformation in a Korea-based leading property & casualty insurance company. The company initiated three years-long e-business transformation program to remain competitive and to keep sustainable growth under risky and down economy. The program, which covered enterprise-wide business processes such as product, marketing & sales, customer, claim, investment & loan, accountings, etc., included redesigning processes from customers' viewpoint and then implementing process-aligned information systems. Leadership, sponsorship, change management, performance measurement, business and IT alignment, empowerment, and customized methodology, were emphasized throughout the program. As a result, the company could expect not only improvements in customer-centricity, sales productivity, and operational excellence but also increased revenues and profits in the next three years. The presented case addresses a feasible approach for enterprise-wide e-business transformation. Although the strategies, actions, and business and IT models are not described in detail due to confidentiality, the methodology and the success factors would be applicable to other insurers and possibly organizations in different industries.

  • This research explores and develops digital transformation factors influencing the logistics service-provider sector in Thailand while also examining the impact sustainability factors associated with digital transformation. Divided into two parts, Part one of the theoretical study framework covers 21 factors relating to logistics, including drivers, objectives, implications, and success factors. The second part concerns 23 factors associated with logistics sustainability, including economic, environmental, and social aspects. This quantitative empirical research was conducted using an online questionnaire instrument, and a structural equation modeling (SEM) technique was used to test the proposed model. The findings from 545 samples collected between August and November 2020 from respondents working in logistics service-provider companies in Thailand show that digital transformation drivers and objectives seem likely to impact success factors and implications in digital transformation positively. Digital transformation success factors also positively impact logistics sustainability. In comparison, logistics sustainability has a significant impact on Thailand's logistics service-provider sector's economic, environmental, and social aspects. Lastly, this research highlights the significance of digital transformation success factors and extends the current knowledge about digital transformation factors and their potential impact on logistics sustainability.

  • In this paper, we have proposed a new market transformation policy to improve the existing rate discount program for the mid-night demand. The rate discount program for the mid-night demand is designed to relieve day-time demand and grow night-time demand since 1985. From this program, customer can save their electricity bills and at the same time electric utilities increase the load factor and utilization rate for the base-load generators such as nuclear and coal. Since this program has been introduced however, many economic problem has been brought out. This paper, therefore, has suggested new market transformations to resolve this problem, whereby economic loss can be shrink while all the interested party can minimize their individual benefits.

  • When teaching the linear regression analysis in the class, the power transformation must be introduced to fit the linear regression model for nonlinear data. Box and Cox (1964) proposed the attractive power transformation technique which is so called Box-Cox transformation. In this paper, an effective algorithm selecting an appropriate value for Box-Cox transformation is developed which is considered to find a value minimizing error sum of squares. When the proposed algorithm is used to find a value for transformation, the number of iterations needs to be considered. Thus, the number of iterations is examined through simulation study. Since SAS is one of most widely used packages and does not provide the procedure that performs iterative Box-Cox transformation, a SAS program automatically choosing the value for transformation is developed. Hence, the students could learn how the Box-Cox transformation works, moreover, researchers can use this for analysis of data.

  • This paper describes the development of the interactive hullform transformation program. This program has many hull transformation functions such as main particular transformation, deadrise generation, section characteristic transformation, local transformation and CB, LCB variation, etc. MBASTRANS adopted the GUI(Graphical User Interface) using the OSF/Motif based on the X-Window system and used X-PLOT and GLBAX which are 2 and 3 dimensional graphic libraries, respectively. The interface module cans generate the information of the hullform for the SIKOB package and the hydrodynamic analysis.

  • Recently developed compilers perform some optimizations in order to speed up the execution time of source program. These optimizations require the transformation of the sequence of program statements. This transformation does not give any problems in a single-threaded program. However, the transformation gives some significant errors in a multi-threaded program. State-of-the-art model checkers such as Java-Pathfinder do not consider the transformation resulted in the optimization step in a compiler since they just consider a single memory model. In this paper, we describe a new technique which is based on SMT solver. The Java Memory Model Simulator based on SMT Solver can compute all possible output of given multi-thread program within one second which, in contrast, Traditional Java Memory Model Simulator takes one minute.

  • Code obfuscation has been proposed to protect codes in a program from malicious software reverse engineering. It converts a program into an equivalent one that is more difficult to understand the program. Code obfuscation has been classified into various obfuscation technique such as layout, data, control, by obfuscating goals. In those obfuscation techniques, control obfuscation is intended to complicate the control flow in a program to protect abstract information of control flow. For protecting control flow in a program, various control obfuscation transformation techniques have been proposed. However, strategies for effectively applying a control flow obfuscation to program have not been proposed yet. In this paper, we proposed a obfuscation strategy that effectively applies a control flow obfuscation transformation to a program. We conducted experiment to show that the proposed obfuscation strategy is useful for applying a control flow transformation to a program.

  • Many references are available in the area of Fourier transformation. But some differences are found in the mathematical expressions provided in the references. These circumstances prohibit beginners from understanding and using Fourier transformation method. In this paper, relating mathematical expressions are epitomized and some numerical results are compared and interpreted to understand Fourier transformation. Fourier transformation results are displayed for representative input signals and some characteristics are summarized.
