  • This study for Customer Satisfaction(Customer Focus) by Profit security' in the field Process improvement activity and man-power upgrade in the learning of organization activity or upgrading ability of each peoples. This thesis study on the focus of KAPEC which introduce Toyota system can apply to VM, 3jeong, Right Box and Right Position), 5S, JIT(Just In Time), KAlZEN, KANBAN System, CIM, ERP, DAS an output of Factory. For strategic changes to take place in industry 3 key important factors need to be included ; integration of tasks functions and process, decentralization of information and responsibility and finally simplification of products and product structures. These describes how CIM can be implemented using these factors. This study for (1)System Integration, (2) Help Logistic Problems, (3) Partly facilitated growth. (4) Improved production planning (5) Real-time management. (6) Fast reporting (7) Productivity. Quality. Delivery Up, Cost reduction and Autonomy management, FMS in the Plant etc.

대용특성을 활용한 스크리닝 검사에서 제한된 생산용량의 효과분석 (Effects of Limited Capacity on Screening Procedures Using a Surrogate Variable)

  • Due to the rapid growth in automated testing and manufacturing systems, screening inspection becomes very attractive. In this paper, we investigate the effects of limited capacity on screening inspection using a surrogate variable. The model is developed under the assumption that the reprocessed and nonreprocessed items are produced by the same manufacturing process and therefore their quality characteristics are independently and identically distributed. Profit models are constructed which involve four price/cost components; selling price, cost incurred by imperfect quality, reprocessing and quality inspection costs. Methods of finding the optimal screening limits are presented, and a numerical example is given. Sensitivity analyses are also performed to study the effect of a process standard deviation on this model.

  • Local food in rural area as a rural growth tool has to adapt to current market mechanisms by communication and promotion techniques. We need to know what and how local food consumers seek their benefits to market segmentations. The primary purpose of this study was to segment and profile the benefits of local food consumer so as to provide a better understanding of local food in Korea. A self-administered survey was obtained from 448 food consumer in the study area. Three distinct segments were identified based on the benefits; profit seeker (39.7%), passive consumers (19.0%), and value seeker (42.2%), and these were profiled with respect to socio-demographics and local food attitude-related features.

  • Mobile banking service has emerged as an important profit source for both banks and mobile phone service companies. However, the growth of the mobile banking service is behind the expectation of banks and mobile phone companies. One plausible explanation for this laggard diffusion of mobile banking may be the lack of consumers' initial trust on the service. Therefore, this study investigates the critical factors in building trust and intention to use mobile banking services. Our research results show that propensity-to-trust, structural assurance, and relative advantages of services have significant impacts on consumers' initial trust in mobile banking service Furthermore, initial trust in mobile banking service is a critical factor for adopting mobile banking services Contrary to our expectation, however, reputation of banks and mobile phone companies are not significant in attracting consumers to mobile banking services.

Heuristic based Energy-aware Resource Allocation by Dynamic Consolidation of Virtual Machines in Cloud Data Center

  • Rapid growth of the IT industry has led to significant energy consumption in the last decade. Data centers swallow an enormous amount of electrical energy and have high operating costs and carbon dioxide excretions. In response to this, the dynamic consolidation of virtual machines (VMs) allows for efficient resource management and reduces power consumption through the live migration of VMs in the hosts. Moreover, each client typically has a service level agreement (SLA), this leads to stipulations in dealing with energy-performance trade-offs, as aggressive consolidation may lead to performance degradation beyond the negotiation. In this paper we propose a heuristic based resource allocation of VM selection and a VM allocation approach that aims to minimize the total energy consumption and operating costs while meeting the client-level SLA. Our experiment results demonstrate significant enhancements in cloud providers' profit and energy savings while improving the SLA at a certain level.

Logistic Regression for Investigating Credit Card Default

  • The increasing late-payment rate of credit card customers caused by a recent economic downturn are incurring not only reduced profit of department stores but also significant loss. Under this pressure, the objective of credit forecasting is extended from presumption of good or bad customers to contribution to revenue growth. As a method of managing defaults of department store credit card, this study classifies credit delinquents into some clusters, analyzes repaying patterns of customers in each cluster, and develops credit forecasting system to manage delinquents of department store credit card using data of Korean D department store's delinquents. The model presented by this study uses Kohonen network, a kind of artificial neural network of data mining techniques to cluster credit delinquents into groups. Logistic regression model is also used to predict repayment rate of customers of each cluster per period. The accuracy of presented system for the whole clusters is 92.3%.

  • In 21st century, According to development of Information Technology, It is clear that the importance of tourism information is extended increasingly. For this reason, It should be needed to realize a general system which make it possible to enjoy cyber tourism based on knowledge information system to recover a local potential growth power, catch a jumping chance again, and hold a new competitive power. But to discuss a tourism information system, the matters of hard ware, software and information mediating system should be reviewed generally, this research is likely to provide a cyber tourism information system through internet as a way of cyber tours through multimedia technology and stereoscopic image technique using GIS (Geographic Information System) centering on the networking system of tourism information. Constructing $\ulcorner$cyber touristy city$\lrcorner$ on internet, foster a new industry, to go balanced with a present tourism industry and experience a virtual reality, various theme tours create high profit to shrunken tourism industry.

어류양식장 생산계획에 관한 연구 (Production planning in fish farm)

  • Because land based aquaculture is restricted by high investment per rearing volume and control cost, good management planning is important in Land-based aquaculture system case. In this paper master production planning was made to decide the number of rearing, production schedule and efficient allocation of water resources considering biological and economic condition. The purpose of this article is to build the mathematical decision making model that finds the value of decision variable to maximize profit under the constraints. Stocking and harvesting decisions that are made by master production planning are affected by the price system, feed cost, labour cost, power cost and investment cost. To solve the proposed mathematical model, heuristic search algorithm is proposed. The model Input variables are (1) the fish price (2) the fish growth rate (3) critical standing corp (4) labour cost (5) power cost (6) feed coefficient (7) fixed cost. The model outputs are (1) number of rearing fish (2) sales price (3) efficient allocation of water pool.

  • Inspired by the growth of the Internet, electronic commerce(EC) has grown rapidly over the last few years and has become a major Internet application domain. EC encompasses various profit-oriented activities such as purchase of goods and services over the network, banking, and business-to-business trade. The purpose of this research is to develop an electronic commerce merchant server for the small and medium size business. The proposed solution is designed to meet a cheap, simple, extensible, and interoperable requirement. Also, our solution supports one-to-one marketing concept by using matching technology. We expect that our solution makes the small and medium size EC market more easily.
