대학수학 학습에 필요한 요인 분석과 학습지도 (The Analysis on the Necessary Factors for College Mathematics Learning and Its Implication on the Mathematics Education)

  • 대학수학 학습에 필요한 성공요인, 실패요인에 대한 조사와 수학과 컴퓨터에 대한 태도검사를 학생들에게 실시하여 그 결과를 분석한 다음 외국학생들에 대한 연구결과와 비교해보고 학습지도에 활용하는 방법을 제시하고 있다. 학기초나 수업을 시작할 때 수학의 필요성과 중요성을 강조하고 구체적으로 학교 수준에 맞는 성공, 실패 항목을 지적하고 필요한 대책을 강구하며 컴퓨터의 도움이 수학학습에 필요하므로 학생들이 이용할 수 있는 컴퓨터 실습실을 만들어 주고 소프트웨어도 지원하여 도움을 받을 수 있도록 학교 당국에 협조를 구할 수 있는 근거를 제시하고 있다.

미국 NGCTM 배뇨자극요법 근거중심 가이드라인의 국내 적용가능성 평가 (Evaluating the NGCTM Evidence Based Guideline of Prompted Voiding for Use in Korea)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the applicability of the evidence based guideline for prompted voiding by Lyons & Specht (2001) in National Guideline $Clearinghouse^{TM}$ for use in Korea based on the experts' opinions. Method: The target expert group consisted of 8 registered nurses, 6 physicians, and 5 nursing professors who are experts in urinary incontinence. This study used a questionnaire survey. The appropriateness, applicability, and the present application of each recommendation in the guideline were analyzed with descriptive statistics using the SPSS program, with content analysis based on the experts' opinions. Result: The scores on each recommendation's appropriateness showed the high degree of agreement among nurses, physicians, and nursing professors. However, the recommendation for 'use of oxybutinin' showed the lowest score as 5.89. It was notable that the most recommendations scored lower for applicability compared with appropriateness. The reasons for lower scores for applicability were the lack of clinicians' knowledge of assessment and management, and the lack of resources in clinical settings in Korea. Conclusion: This study will augment the understanding of the actual urinary incontinence management in Korean clinical settings and can be used as the baseline data for further study of tailoring international guidelines into local and national clinical settings.

산업계관점 대학평가에 대한 인식 및 개선방안 연구 (A Study on Recognition and Improvement for the Evaluation of University Education on the Perspective of Industry)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the perceptions of college officials about the evaluation of university education on the perspective of industry, to make policy proposals for improvement by analyzing the preparing process of the departments that have received the evaluation of the best universities, In order to achieve the purpose of the study, we conducted literature review, survey studies, and in-depth interviews. The survey was conducted by professors related to this system, and finally the results of 51 responses were used for analysis. The contents of the survey were composed of the recognition, appropriateness, the utilization of the results, the proliferation and improvement plan of the evaluation of university education on the perspective of industry. In-depth interviews conducted 1:1 interviews with 5 professors. The evaluation of university education on the perspective of industry is generally perceived to be a bridge between industry and university education, but there is room for improvement in evaluation criteria, operating methods, and promotion strategies to public.

중등 과학교사 양성 과정의 실태 분석 (A Status Survey on the Preservice Education of Secondary Science Teachers)

  • The quality of science teachers is one of the most important factors to improve the science education in secondary schools. In this study the current status of preservice education of secondary science teachers was surveyed and the directions for the improvement were suggested as follows: 1. The purposes of departments of science education have to be partially revised to include other education programs related to science education than preservice training courses of science teachers. 2. Training courses of integrated science teacher should be organized differently from those of physics, chemistry, biology or earth science teachers because their requirements are different. 3. Strict standards of curricula for training science teacher have to be established and applied practically. 4. The curricula of departments of science education have to reflect the contents and the changes of secondary science education. 5. More credits to subjects on the science education, the nature of science, and the laboratory experiments should be taken in the preservice courses of science teachers. 6. Professors at the department of science education have to use various methods to teach inquiry lab and evaluation techniques so that students can experience them at the training courses. 7. The number of professors majoring in science education at the department of sciece education should be increased. 8. Enough research funds have to be supported to activate the researches in science education.

NFC를 활용한 출결관리 시스템 구현 (An Implementation of Attendance Management System using NFC)

  • 최근 근거리 무선통신(NFC, Near Field communication)에 대한 관심이 급증하고 있다. 이 논문에서는 출결체크시간을 최소화하기 위해서 NFC 기술을 활용한 출결관리 시스템을 제안한다. 각 강의실에는 책상마다 NFC 태그를 부착하고, 학생들은 스마트 폰에 내장되어 있는 NFC 인식기능을 이용하여 출석을 확인한다. 출결관리 시스템은 교수용 PC 웹 프로그램, 학생용 안드로이드 프로그램으로 구성되며, 학생들의 출결정보를 효율적으로 확인함으로서 교수에게 더 많은 강의시간을 제공할 수 있는 장점을 갖는다. 이 논문은 NFC를 이용한 출결관리 시스템의 프로토타입을 제안하고 구현함으로써 다양한 교육기관에서 본 시스템의 활용 가능성을 검증하는데 기여하였다.

치위생교육인증평가를 위한 평가인증 우선순위 결정 (Determining priorities for evaluation accreditation to assess dental hygiene education programs)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to review the systems used to evaluate dental hygiene education and to establish priorities for the evaluation index for accreditation to enhance competitiveness and facilitate quality control of dental hygiene education. Methods: A survey of priorities for accreditation evaluation was developed based on input from professors at 43 universities. Data were analyzed using the Analytic Hierarchy Process method with Expert Choice 2000 software. Results: The relative importance of each evaluation area, ranked in descending order, was as follows: vision and operating system; administration and finances; facilities and equipment; educational outcomes; professors; educational process; and students. The importance of the evaluation part was highest in field training at the education process part and scholarship at the student part. The importance after applying complex weights was highest in establishing a development plan for the vision and operating system. Conclusions: Practical accreditation evaluation based on objectivity and validity is needed to control the quality of dental hygiene education. Therefore, priorities in accreditation evaluation standard must be determined to establish a basis for quality improvement in education at dental hygiene departments.

공학교육 입문설계의 운영사례 연구 (한밭대학교 중심으로) (Study on running practices of introductory design for engineering education (based on an example of Hanbat National University))

  • In this paper, we surveyed from students and professors of Hanbat National University to examine the current state of running the introductory engineering design and to derive the direction of future improvements of the subject. A total of 783 students from nine departments and 12 professors who are in charge of the introductory engineering design participated in the present questionnaire evaluation. Outcome categories of the interest in their major and the learning of design theory appears relatively lower than other learning outcomes of the introductory engineering design course. Accordingly, it is determined that the theoretical aspects of designing should be emphasized in performing a team project. The design process, writing and presentation ability, teamwork theory are dealt in more than 70% of the departments, but engineering ethics, patent, visualization education had not been addressed in a number of departments due to their department characteristics. While a lesson outcome of the creativity resulted in the largest for the students, most of the professor feel difficult in increasing the creativity. It is urgent to develope of teaching methods in order to promote the creativity in the introductory engineering design course.

Effectiveness of Asynchronous Learning Networks in Teaching as a Supplement to Classroom Teaching: A Study from Perspective of Lecturers in National University of Singapore

  • Asynchronous Learning Networks (ALN) has become a kind of prevalent information systems to supplement or even substitute a traditional classroom face-to-face teaching method. In this paper, we investigate the impacts of types of courses, lecturers' instruction models and computer self-efficacy on the ALN effectiveness in teaching from lecturers' perspective. We conducted survey to professors in various faculties such as School of Computing, Faculty of Arts, Science, Business, Law and Engineering in the National University of Singapore. According to the responses from ninety-eight professors, instruction modes positively influence the usage of ALN; types of course and lecturers' computer-efficacy influence lectures' satisfaction of ALN in teaching. Both the usage of ALN and satisfaction of ALN positively influence the effectiveness of ALN. The results of this study fill the gap of ALN researches in education by examining it from lecturers' perspective and enable schools to improve their implementation of ALN systems based on our findings.

한의 의료기관 비급여 진료 실태조사 (A Survey on Uncovered Services in National Health Insurance of Traditional Korean Medicine Institution)

  • Objectives : This study was conducted to survey on uncovered services in National Health Insurance(NHI) of Traditional Korean Medicine(TKM) Institution. Methods : For TKM doctors working in hospital, it was surveyed to professors working in university-affiliated hospital. A total of 40 professors were participated online survey and all of them was included. For TKM doctors working in clinic, an e-mail survey was conducted for members of the association of Korean medicine. A total of 436 TKM doctors, 279 TKM doctors were included study and 157 were excluded because of duplication clinic or not working in clinic. It was conducted general status and uncovered services in NHI status. Results : The proportion of uncovered services in NHI was 54.7% for hospitals, 39.0% for clinics and there was a significant difference between hospital and clinic. Decoction and herbal(bee venom) acupuncture were most commonly used in both institutions. For decoction treated patients, It was commonly treated Sibjeondaebo-tang, Bojungykki-tang, Gwibi-Tang and patients chief complaints was thoraco-lumbar pain, functional dyspepsia, fatigue. Conclusions : It is necessary to expansion of benefits range of the NHI on TKM services.

새로운 미디어 환경의 대중강연이 공학교육 발전에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Public Lectures on the Development of Engineering Education in the New Media Environment)

  • This study analyzes the public lecture conducted by a university in Seoul and examined how a public lecture on the emergence of a new media environment could influence the actual field of engineering education. The current public lecture is changing away from past patterns which have been conducted on a daily, irregular and offline basis. Online lectures such as Mooc programs, as well as broadcast programs in the Internet media environment, are becoming increasingly popular with mainstream education. This study focuses on exploring how public lecture experiences of engineering professors have affected the improvement of learner centered education and their communication skills. It also examines how public lecture in the field can affect to enhance public understanding of engineering. The advent of a new media environment is likely to inject new vitality into a college lecture that seems to fall behind in the past. It is highly likely that the reliance on the teaching capabilities of professors become higher according to the emphasis on active learning environment. The genre of public lecture is expected to greatly helpful to expand future engineering education methodologies.
