The goal of this study was to develop a curriculum based on practice and job competency, reflecting opinions on the required job competence of nail practitioners and professionals related to nail beauty. Through in-depth interviews with nail experts, the research focuses on developing nail beauty competency-based curriculum and curriculum profiles that reflect practitioners' needs of job competence in the field. In-depth interviews with 11 field experts and surveys of 154 people were conducted to develop a competency-based curriculum for beginner nail hairdressers. The results of this study show that the existing 38 National Competency Standards (NCS) job competencies were reduced to 21 job competencies. In addition, based on the common opinions of experts who reflect the current trend, two tasks on "eyelashes" and "waxing" were added, and they were modified and supplemented with 23 core competencies. The development of a competency-based curriculum and educational programs for nail beauty was performed based on the requirements of the core competencies investigated and the development of a systematic map for the core competencies of beginner nail technicians and hairdressers. In conclusion, the need for professional education and training for nail hairdressers is growing, and it can be seen that a curriculum building multi-faceted abilities is needed for their qualifications as experts. This study found that it is necessary to develop interpersonal communication skills that include marketing elements other than practical skills such as personality and customer response methods in the nail beauty curriculum.

본 연구는 성인대학생의 핵심역량모형을 개발하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 국내외 문헌연구를 분석하여 성인대학생의 핵심역량을 도출하였으며, 핵심역량의 타당성을 위하여 델파이 조사를 하였다. 이를 위해 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 의사소통, 문제해결 및 메타, 대인관계, 자기관리·개발, 디지털 정보 문해, 전공지식, 시민의식, 융합, 인성, 전문직업과 글로벌로 총 11개의 성인대학생 핵심역량이 도출되었다. 성인대학생의 핵심역량모형은 델파이 조사의 결과를 바탕으로 01~11의 번호를 부여하여 개발하였다. 성인대학생의 핵심역량은 서로 유기적으로 연계되어 있어 하나의 핵심역량의 함양은 다른 핵심역량에도 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to gain an in-depth understanding of the characteristics and competencies of practice experienced by public health center nurses(PHNs) during the early response phase of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) pandemic. Methods: PHNs were recruited from public health centers(PHC) in ten cities in Korea, using purposive sampling. They participated in semi-structured, in-depth interviews from December 21, 2020, to February 18, 2021. The interviews were transcribed verbatim and analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Results: Three themes and nine categories were drawn from the findings. The three themes that emerged from the data analysis were as follows: 'Handling expanding work scope and overwhelming workload beyond prepared competencies, willing to go anywhere.', 'Performing tasks of cooperation and communication required in the disaster management administrative system.', 'Demonstrated proficiency in clinical nursing practices, but recognized the need for further development of leadership and administrative capabilities.' Conclusions: The experiences of the subjects' have implications for the development of content for community nursing education that cultivates basic competencies to respond to real pandemic situations during undergraduate education. It is proposed that it would be necessary to establish a support system for developing specialized competencies in public health nursing.

본 논문은 간호사의 역량을 규명하고, 전체 간호업무의 80%를 통제할 수 있는 20%의 핵심간호역량을 도출하여 이를 기반으로 하는 간호교육과정 개발을 위한 간호역량을 모델링하기 위해 시도되었다. 각종 역량 관련 문헌고찰을 통하여 역량기반 교육과정, 역량 및 간호역량의 개념을 확인하고, 간호역량의 개념에 부합하는 각종 간호역량을 열거 및 유목화 하여 이들 간의 관계를 규명하였다. 또한 각종 역량 모델링의 방법을 검토하여 이를 토대로 역량기반 간호교육과정에 고유한 핵심역량 모델의 예시적 개념 지도를 제시하였다. 역량기반 간호교육과정을 위한 핵심역량은 기저역량, 실무역량, 인성역량으로 대별되고 기저역량은 전공(이론+실기)과 간호술로 역량의 기본이 된다. 실무역량은 임상적 판단, 대상자 교육, 의사소통, 환자 안전, 질 향상, 병동 및 자원 관리 등으로 구성되며 인성역량은 리더십, 책임 인식, 협력, 정책변화 대응 등으로 이루어진다. 이들은 자기주도적 학습과 비판적 사고 능력을 통하여 지속적인 순환 관계를 유지한다. 결국 이러한 역량을 가진 간호사는 지식근로자로써 자기주도적 학습자이며 전문적이고 효율적인 의사소통가이다. 간호역량을 확정시키는 후속연구가 계속되어야 하며 실제 역량기반교육과정에 적용하여 성과를 측정하고 이를 다시 반영하는 과정이 지속적으로 이루어져야 함을 제언한다.

The aim of the research was to explore post-registration training opportunities for NHS hospital pharmacists which contributes to promote structural reform of the professional development and lifelong learning for Korean hospital pharmacists. In UK, all pharmacists are required to complete at least 9 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) entries per each year to maintain their professional registration. Types of accredited postgraduate qualification (part-time) in Pharmacy Practice available for hospital pharmacists are Postgraduate Certificate (PgCert, year 1), Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip, year 2), Master of Science (MSc year 3), and Professional Doctorate in Pharmacy programme (DPharm, 4-5 years or more). Clinical pharmacy diploma is more likely to become a minimum qualification in order to progress whilst working for the NHS. Pharmacy independent prescribers are allowed to prescribe all medications except cocaine, dipipanone, and diamorphine for the purpose of treating addiction within their competencies. NHS pharmacists are also classified by band point system depending on their practical/clinical knowledge and skills which starting from band 5 (Pre-registration pharmacist) up to band 9. Various learning and development options are also offered including teaching sessions, conferences and local forums.

This paper reports on part of a large study to identify competencies of oncology nurses in Malaysia. It focuses on oncology nurses' communications-related competency. As an important cancer care team member, oncology nurses need to communicate effectively with cancer patients. Literature shows that poor communication can make patients feel anxious, uncertain and generally not satisfied with their nurses' care. This paper deliberates on the importance of effective communication by oncology nurses in the context of a public hospital. Four focus group discussions were used in this study with 17 oncology/cancer care nurses from Malaysian public hospitals. The main inclusion criterion was that the nurses had to have undergone a post-basic course in oncology, or have work experience as a cancer care nurse. The findings indicated that nurses do communicate with their patients, patients' families and doctors to provide information about the disease, cancer treatment, disease recurrence and side effects. Nurses should have good communication skills in order to build relationships as well as to provide quality services to their patients. The paper concludes by recommending how oncology nursing competencies can be improved.

The purpose of this study was to analyze field application of science subject competences of the 2015 revised curriculum for the second year of application. For this purpose, a survey with 133 elementary school teachers, and in-depth interviews with 10 teachers were conducted. According to the results, elementary school teachers had a positive awareness toward the science subject competence, which is a characteristic of the 2015 revised science curriculum, and teachers were applying the science subject competence to their own classes. This tendency was stronger in teachers in science-leading schools than in teachers in regular schools. Teachers wanted support for applying science subject competencies to their classes. To support this, it is necessary to provide the curriculum materials focused on science subject competencies, reinforce teacher training on competence-related curriculum, and activate the professional teacher community.

This study was a quasi-experimental study with a single group pre-posttest design for evaluating the effects and meanings of a global health training program for nursing students. A mixed data collection method utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods was applied. The qualitative method consisted of reflection journal entry analysis, while the quantitative study evaluated data collected from a self-reported questionnaire. After attending the program, cultural competencies of participants significantly increased than pre-test while global citizenship was not. Through an analysis of reflection journals written during the overseas training period, the meanings of experiences derived after the program were classified into five themes and 12 sub themes, which were, 'improvement of global health leadership', 'experience of barriers in reality', 'improvement of nursing professional value', 'inspiration of a perspective on health equity', and 'internal growth'. The results indicate that global health training program evaluated in this study was meaningful; it provided students with opportunities to experience the nurse's role in diverse global environments and attempted to measure the effects.

이 연구에서는 2019년 10월 현재 우리나라에 개설된 데이터과학 교육과정의 현황을 분석하기 위해 먼저, 데이터과학 분야의 교육과정을 분석한 기존 연구와 데이터과학 분야 전문가에게 요구되는 역량에 대한 분석을 진행하였고, 이를 바탕으로 우리나라에 개설된 80개의 교육과정과 2,041개의 교과목을 대상으로 학문 영역 특징 기반 분석, 데이터 전문가 역량 기반 분석과 교과목명 내용 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 우리나라에서의 데이터과학 전공 교육은 기술과 직업 실무적 관점보다는 학문적 접근을 바탕으로 한 연구 중심의 전문적 교육과정으로 자리 잡았으며, 통계적 분석 역량을 중심으로 많은 교과가 개설되었고, 정보기술, 통계학, 경영학을 중심으로 한 학제적 특성이 교육과정에 반영되었음을 확인하였다.

본 연구는 공공도서관 사서의 공통역량 수준을 진단하는 자가진단 도구를 개발하여 실제 공공도서관 사서들을 대상으로 적용해보고 실증적 연구방법을 통해 역량가치 평가요인을 분석함으로써, 공공도서관 현장에서 사서의 역량강화 제고를 위한 개선방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 기존의 도서관 사서의 역량가치 평가 지표를 공공도서관 관점에서 수정, 보완하여 직급이나 직무에 관계없이 누구나 기본적으로 갖추어야 할 기본적 자질인 공통역량을 중심으로 한 자가진단 도구가 제시되었다. 공공도서관 사서 역량에 대한 자기 진단 분석 결과, 공공도서관 사서들은 전문직 사서가 갖추어야할 공통역량의 습득 정도를 보통보다는 다소 높은 수준으로 인식하고 있다고 스스로 평가하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 사서의 전체 역량 중 '사서의 행동 및 태도' 영역의 평균이 가장 높았으며, '사서의 기량', '사서의 지식' 영역 순으로 나타났다. 다양한 직무 수행에 필요한 공공도서관 사서의 역량강화를 위해서 사서 재교육 체계 구축 및 강화가 필요하며 전문직으로서의 사서 직무에 대한 대외 홍보, 사서 전문역량 계발을 위한 체계적 제도와 전문성 계발을 위한 인사제도가 마련되어야 할 것을 제언하였다.
