Today's professional sports teams are in a highly competitive environment with no prospects in sight. A that was considered the favorite to win a championship can suffer from a severe slump, a team that was expected to be at the bottom can achieve victory. This unexpected situation is continuing to repeat. It is also a sign of the need to look at the use of human resources and strategies in the sports industry. Accordingly, this study looks at Daegu FC soccer team, Korea's first team for citizens. A case study on human resources innovation was done. This study introduces an argument for ordinary resources (AOR) from Frey et al. (2015) for a theoretical review and a case analysis of domestic professional football. This study determines the direction of how Daegu FC should proceed. The results of the research are as follows: first, the success of harmonizing strategic and mundane resources, and second, belief in coaches. The main contribution of this research is that it presents the importance of human resources, which is one of basic tactics that sports teams should utilize. In the sports industry, where the temporality is underlined for its clear beginning and ending, teams are more likely to use diverse sports tactics to obtain superior grades, which enriches the basis of their tactics.

The purpose of this study was to examine how collectivism in a football team context influences on team performance. Specifically, we investigated the mediating role of energetic relation in the process that collectivism generates team performance. This study focused on the K League teams, the highest professional football competition in South Korea and how collectivism affects team performance as well as the role of energetic relations in mediating between collectivism and team performance. The data were collected from 280 players registered in 10 K League teams and 24 of them were excluded due to incomplete questionnaires. Therefore, 240 questionnaires were finally used for the data analysis. The data were processed with SPSS WIN 21.0 and Lisrel 9. Frequency Analysis, Exploratory Factor Analysis, Reliability Analysis, Correlation Analysis, Regression Analysis, Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Structural Equation Model were used. The following results were obtained: first, collectivism had a positive effect on team performance. Second, energetic relation had a positive effect on team performance. Third, energetic relation fully mediated the relationship between collectivism and team performance.

This paper seeks to better understand the focal issues and persons related to Rio Olympic soccer games through social data science and analytics. This study collected its data from online news articles and comments specific to KOR during the Olympic football games. In order to investigate the public interests for each game and target persons, this study performed the co-occurrence words analysis. Then after, the study applied the NodeXL software to perform its visualization of the results. Through this application and process, the study found several major issues during the Rio Olympic men's football game including the following: the match between KOR and PIJ, KOR player Heungmin Son, commentator Young-Pyo Lee, sportscaster Woo-Jong Jo. The study also showed the general public opinion expressed positive words towards the South Korean national football team during the Rio Olympics, though there existed negative words as well. Furthermore the study revealed positive attitude towards the commentators and casters. In conclusion, the way to increase the public's interest in big sporting events can be achieved by providing the following: contents that include various professional sports analysis, a capable domain expert with thorough preparation, a commentator and/or caster with artistic sense as well as well-spoken, explanatory power and so on. Multidisciplinary research combined with sports science, social science, information technology and media can contribute to a wide range of theoretical studies and practical developments within the sports industry.

This study, based upon the Sturges' crisis stages, examines the crisis response communication strategies of Korea Professional Football League(KPFL) for the K-league match-fixing case as well as the frequency of related news articles and the source of information. To explore the crisis response communication strategies the Korea Professional Football League used, a total of 118 news articles were analyzed using the content analysis and frequency analysis. The unit of analysis for crisis response communication strategies is sentence. The frequency of news articles based upon the crisis stages shows highest rate at the acute crisis stage. The source of information for news reports shows that KPFL was one of the major sources of the news reports. KPFL's crisis response communication strategy throughout all stages of the crisis stage shows that corrective action strategy was used highest ratio. In particular, the crisis response communication strategy between team, player and KPFL was shown lack of consistency throughout all crisis stages. Implication and future research direction for the results are discussed.

This study found the following results through the comparative analysis of the history and development process of the Korean·U.S. women's soccer. First, the Korean women's soccer has a long history compared to U.S. soccer. However, the environmental factors such as the Korean war made the long years of gap. Second, to vitalize the women's soccer team in school, the legal and financial base are needed. School Sports Promotion Acts needs to be revised based on the Title IX in U.S. Third, in terms of professional soccer, many women's soccer players play abroad and are recognized. However, women's professional soccer players treatment is not enough compared to men's soccer. Therefore, corporate's financial support and the proper distribution of budget from the Korea football association are required.

This research is to examine the effect of specific Sports On-line membership characteristics on Customer loyalty, the role of the important concept of the three degree of commitment(Continuance commitment, Normative commitment, Affective commitment) in relation marketing. First, discover whether professional team's customer loyalty is influenced by Sports on-line membership through the three degrees of commitment, which is an important parameter in customer relation. Second, find out the effect of currently used online membership characteristics of an off-line company on the three degrees of commitment. To achieve this aim our research team carried out an empirical study by creating an experimental hypothesis and model. The research was conducted by an online survey by 211 supporters of professional football teams. Out of the total 23 were judged untrustworthy by double answers, the empirical study was drawn out from the remaining 188. The empirical study was done by statistical analysis programs SPSS 10.0 and AMOS 4.0. The conclusion of this research is that specific characteristics of Sports on-line membership, Continuance commitment, Normative commitment, Affective commitment plays an important role as a medium in Customer loyalty.

This study focuses on analyzing the epic characteristics of a korean sports cartoon called "Burning Ground" in the 1970s. Through this, we would like to reveal that only "Burning Ground" has a unique narrative. We hope that such research will accumulate and serve as the basis for the study of Korean sports cartoon. In the 1970s and 1980s, Korean sports cartoons were narratives of the main characters. The story of the family is central to the narrative. Family revenge is mainly the central narrative. Plural narratives are serious, and sports act as auxiliary narratives. It uses 'Spocon', a characteristic of Japanese sports cartoons, to show its efforts to get revenge. Therefore, it is extremely rare to use professional knowledge in Korean sports cartoons in the 1970s. Burning Ground uses an escalating system to construct incremental narratives. The three-dimensional narrative is composed by utilizing various narratives of surrounding characters. The use of expertise in football is a feature of the 1990s, and showing this in the 1970s means that the work is ahead of its time. There are limitations of Japanese cartoon theft and plagiarism. However, through this, it provides evidence to examine the relationship between Korea and Japan. And timeless epic speciality must be recognized. The study is meaningful in that it can broaden the perspective of Korean cartoon research in the 1970s.

The purpose of this study is to improve the academy sports field for the establishment of advanced sports culture. This study used qualitative research. The research participants were baseball players for 11 years and have been professional baseball players. Another study participant has been a soccer player for eight years. And he has been a football coach for 13 years. The results of this study are as follows. First, the act of entertaining was the form in which parents served sports leaders meals and alcohol. Parents' student athletes had increased chances of playing in the game and were able to receive faithful guidance. Second, the student athletes whose parents did not act of entertaining to the sports leader were discriminated against. The student athletes were harassed by their leaders, their positions changed, and their chances of playing were reduced. Third, parents' student athletes who did not act of entertaining to their leaders either stopped exercising or moved to another school because of discrimination. Eventually, the entertainment culture of academy sports acted as a mechanism to induce sports de-socialization of student athletes, and made students experience a negative aspect of sports culture. As a result, the entertainment culture of academy sports caused discriminatory treatment due to economic inequality. Therefore, the negative entertainment culture of academy sports should be eradicated for the establishment of advanced sports culture.
