제브라피쉬(Danio rerio)를 이용한 비소 고함류 3종 해조류 추출물의 급성 독성평가 (Acute Toxicity Assessment in Zebrafish Danio rerio of Arsenic-rich Extracts from Three Species of Seaweeds)

  • Seaweeds are composed of a variety of bioactive substances, including polysaccharides, pigments, minerals, peptides, and polyphenols. Among these substances, the arsenic content of seaweeds has been a significant cause for concern. The present study evaluated the toxicity of arsenic from three species of seaweed using a zebrafish Danio rerio model. The arsenic-rich extracts were obtained from Ecklonia cava (ECAE), Undaria pinnatifida (UPAE) and Hizikia fusiformis (HFAE) using a solvent of 50% methanol and 1% $HNO_3$. We investigated the toxicity of the arsenic-rich extracts in zebrafish embryos through survival rate, heart rate, yolk sac edema size, cell death, reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The hepatotoxicity of arsenic-rich extracts was assessed in the liver of adult zebrafish through real-time PCR and histopathology. The survival rates of embryos and adult zebrafish showed no significant changes at any concentration. At 100 ppm, embryos did not exhibit significant differences in heart rate, yolk sac edema size, cell death or ROS production. In addition, apoptosis-related genes in larvae and liver tissue were unaffected by treatment with arsenic-rich extracts. These data will help clarify that developmental changes, hepatic oxidative stress, and apoptosis are not associated with toxicity from arsenic-rich seaweed extracts in a zebrafish model.

친환경 패션산업 동향과 쓰레기 발생 감량화(Zero Waste)를 위한 실험적 디자인 사례 연구 (Eco-Fashion Industry Trend and Creative Fashion Design Technic for Zero-Waste)

  • The purpose of this study is for providing not only the latest design technique trend for zero waste fashion, but information about creative fashion design education through eco-fashion industry trend in globally and domestic which is focusing on eco-fashion labelling. The research were processed with literature related eco, sustainable, green fashion books, former articles, newspapers, and web sites. The results as follows; The certification about eco-fashion product is moving to 'Life Cycle Assessment' from focused on primary process like material, finishing, dyeing. Especially simplicity of process means reducing the wastes. And fabric wastage for adult outwear was estimated 15% percent of total fabric used in general design studios. Three cases for Zero waste fashion were as follows; First, Jigsaw puzzle by Timo Rissane and Mark Liu were different zero waste methods, but the result was same. Rissene's method was based on traditional cutting like 'cut and sew' but traditional cutting can lead to design that have an abundance of fabric and drape. Jigsaw of Rissene was approached with description a pattern-cutting technique in which all piece interlock with each other generating no waste from design production. Another Jigsaw by Liu was related with innovative textile design. DTP makes the possibilities for zero waste garment production almost endless. The dress intricately cut from 10 pieces, wastes none of the fabric required to make it. Second, Subtraction Cutting by Julian Roberts provides unexpected fluid, organic forms and zero waste fabric. Utilizing Roberts plug(tunnel) technique enables any part of the garment that is removed for fit or aesthetics to be reincorporated into the design of garment. Third was 'Bio Couture' by Suzanne Lee. She has created garments from cellulose bacteria which grow in a bathtub using only green methods addressing in such as way ecological issues and exploring the future of fashion design in conjunction with technology.

3 시스템의 맞춤복 시장 적용가능성에 관한 연구 - 중년여성을 대상으로 - (A Study on Applicability of Custom-Tailored Clothing of 3D Virtual Clothing System - Focused on Middle-Aged Women -)

  • This study aims to examine for efficient production methods of custom-tailored clothing and application of 3D virtual clothing system in custom-tailored clothing market, by producing and analyzing both real clothing and 3D virtual clothing. For this study, a middle-aged woman is selected as the subject figure and one-piece is selected as the experimental clothes item. In real clothing, I conducted the wearing evaluation for experts and the subject figure. And In the virtual clothing, I conducted the wearing evaluation with i-Designer using 3D virtual clothing on simulation program. There are some differences between the data from body scanning and the real body size. In the custom-tailored clothing market in which the fitness is important, the research which measures the more exact data is needed. And in the case of complicate design, the functions which measure the activity and the fitness variously and correct the parts of curves are needed. This study experiments the availability of application of 3D Virtual Clothing System in custom-tailored clothing market by selecting one-piece as the experimental clothes item. So the follow-up studies for the other designs and fabrics are needed. Also, if the studies for checking the clothes pressure, the amount of composure, the space between skin and clothing when the virtual model wearing clothes is walking or shaking his arms are proceeding, then 3D virtual clothing System is applicable in custom-tailored clothing market. But there are some restrictions and lack of education in virtual clothing System yet, and it makes hard for workers in clothing market to use it in real production. However, 3D virtual clothing System will be practical in real market if there would be more research on its usability and practicality, and workers in clothing market can be easily educated on techniques of 3D virtual clothing system.

직영 및 위탁 사업체 급식소 영양사에 대한 작업자 지향적 직무분석(제 2 보) : 요인분석에 의한 직무수행 특성 영역 및 직무정보 기술 (Categorization of Competencies and Description of Job Informations for Dietitians in Employee Foodservice by Wdorker-oriented Job Analysis Methodology)

  • The job characteristics and competencies of 285 dietitians in employee foodservices were investigated by worker-oriented job analysis methodology. The purposes of this study were to : a) determine the knowledge, abilities, skills and other characteristics(KASO) needed for dietitians in two types of employee foodservice groups(self-operated vs. contracted), b) categorize KASO items by factor analysis and c) provide job information and job descriptions for dietitians in employee foodservices. The job analysis questionnaire was consisted of questions concerning the 134 KASO items. The questionnaire was mailed to 250 dietitians who are members of The Korean Dietetic Association Practice Group in self-operated foodservices(group A) and 250 dietitians who are employed in contracted foodservice companies(group B). Completed questionnaires were received from 285 dietitians(121 in self-operated, 164 in contracted) ; with response rate of 57%. Statistical data analysis was completed using the SPSS/win and the SAS/win packages. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. 1) Through factor analysis, the 134 KASO items were regrouped into 6 categories :‘primary dietetic tasks concerning menu management and administrative work regarding merchants’, ‘primary dietetic tasks concerning procurement and purchasing of food and supplies and meal production and service control’, ‘primary dietetic tasks concerning facility, sanitation and safety control’, ‘secondary dietetic tasks concerning nutrition education and research’, ‘secondary dietetic tasks concerning foodservice operation management’and‘human attributes’. 2) Analysis of the total scores(average scores of degree of frequency, importance and entry requirements of KASO items within 6 categories), group A showed high priorities placed on‘human attributes’, ‘procurement and purchasing of food and supplies and meal production and service control’, ‘menu management and administrative work regarding merchants’, ‘whereas group B showed high priorities placed on’‘human attributes’, ‘foodservice operation management’. 우리나라 로컬푸드 원칙의 인식구조와 준수실태 (The perception and compliance of local food principles in Korea)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 최근 사회적으로 큰 흐름으로 자리잡고 있는 로컬푸드 원칙에 대한 인식도와 준수도를 실증적으로 규명하는 것이다. 본 연구의 주요내용을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 로컬푸드 인식도에서는 신뢰관계, 지역생산 지역소비가 가장 중요한 요인으로 나타났고, 상대적으로 친환경성의 중요도는 낮게 나타났다. 이는 종사자와 전문가에서 통계적 차이를 나타내지 않는다. 따라서 로컬푸드 개념에서는 공간적 측면과 사회적 측면의 구성요소가 모두 중요하다. 둘째, 로컬푸드 준수도에서는 신뢰관계와 유통단계의 축소는 비교적 잘 지켜지는 반면, 친환경성과 이동거리는 상대적으로 잘 지켜지지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 준수도의 경우 종사자와 전문가의 인식차이는 이동거리 축소에서만 나타나지 않고, 그 외 4개 요소에는 통계적 차이가 나타났다. 셋째, 로컬푸드의 인식도와 준수도의 차이를 살펴보면, 친환경성과 신뢰관계, 그리고 유통단계 축소 등의 사회적 측면은 인식도와 준수도의 차이가 크지 않는 반면, 공간적 측면의 이동거리 축소와 지역생산 지역소비는 인식도와 준수도의 차이가 상대적으로 큰 것으로 나타났다.

의류학 분야 대학교육내용의 산업 실무 활용에 관한 연구 -의류소재 관련 교과목 분석을 중심으로- (A Study on the Application of Clothing and Textiles Education to Industrial Work)

  • This study analyzes the current educational curricula in the field of Clothing and Textiles in order to develop appropriate educational methods and courses. We reviewed the curricula offered by 58 Clothing and Textiles Departments at four-year universities in Korea. We analyzed the educational content of each curriculum by dividing all of the courses offered into eight categories. The analysis was based on the information posted on the universities' Internet websites, and the analysis was performed by using descriptive statistics. The results of this study are as follows: First, the educational courses of the Clothing and Textiles Departments are composed of, 36.2% design, 20.4% production, and 14.5% textile categories. In comparison with the results of a similar study conducted in 1999, emphases on the design, distribution, and marketing categories have increased, while the emphases on the production, apparel material, basic knowledge, and consumption science categories have decreased. Second, in the case of the apparel material category, basic knowledge of materials constituted 18.5%, the largest part of the category. The average number of units offered in the area of apparel materials by the 58 Departments was 17 units per year. The curricula were found to vary by regions of the country. The universities located in the Chungcheong region offer more textile material courses, but the universities in the Capital region offer fewer textile material courses than other regions. Departments that are affiliated with universities that emphasize Art and Design have more courses on basic knowledge, dyeing and finishing, and fabric design than other universities.

공동조리 급식학교의 운영실태 및 영양사 업무 평가 (Evaluation of Central Commissary School Foodservice Operations' Practices and their Dietitians' Job Duties)

  • Central commissary school foodservice operations' practices and their dietitians' job duties were assessed and compared with those of their counterpart of conventional school foodservice operations to find out strategies for early settlement and better management for commissary system. Survey qestionnaires consisted of general background, employees' work schedule and dietitians' job duties. 12 commissary schools(out of 22 existing in Korea) and 77 conventional schools from Kyungkido were participated in the survey. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: 1. Central commissary school foodservice was presently utilized at 5 schools from islands type, 11 schools from rural type, and 6 schools from urban type, consisting total of 22 commissary schools, and 52 satellite schools. 2. Dietitians were evenly employed with their experiences, 55.5% were those with less than 2 years of experience, 44.6% were those with more than 2 years of experience. 3. Commissary schools employed more full-time empolyees$(1.8{\pm}0.7)$ than conventional schools$(0.3{\pm}0.5)$, however as far as the production capacity was concerned, only the part-time employees played significant roles(p<.01). Regardless of the number of students, an absolute number of full-time employees were employed, and their duties were not carried out efficiently. The part-time employees of commissary schools performed more loaded work compared to their counterparts in conventional schools. 4. Out of the dietitians' foodservice duties, 'basic food service production$(3.9{\pm}0.7)$' were carried out adequately, whereas 'nutrition education and advertisement$(2.5{\pm}0.6)$' and 'administrative affairs and information related duties$(2.8{\pm}0.9)$' were not. In order to enhance their working capacity, systematic organizational reforms are imminent. 5. Survey results also showed that dietitians performed less duties at satellite school than at the central commissary. This indicates more systematic foodservice management practices are urgently needed.

중서부태평양 한국 다랑어 선망어선의 조업실태 분석 (Analysis on fishing conditions of the Korean tuna purse seiner operating in the western and central Pacific Ocean)

  • To suggest more efficient fishing operation, it was analyzed using five years (2011~2015) catch data of six Korean-flagged tuna purse seiners (with 1000 mt of haul capacity) operating in the western and central Pacific Ocean. In terms of annual total catch, it presented a two-year cycle of variation on catch, showing that catches of 2012, 2014 and 2015 were high, whereas those of 2011 and 2013 were low. The proportions on fishing effort of associated set were around 21.9~30.8% having 21.5~45.0% of total catch. In this study, there was no significant difference between catches of unassociated set and associated set. When considered having good fishing conditions, fishing activities were concentrated in the areas of Papua New Guinea (PNG) and Kiribati, while it showed that fishing ground spreaded out to the areas of not only PNG and Kiribati but also Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), Tuvalu and Solomon islands. The average number of fishing days was 271 with a range of 246~285. As restriction on fishing operation such as reduction of fishing days and higher fishing fee are expected to strengthen, the result of this study will be helpful to select more efficient fishing methods for purse seine fishery based on fishing conditions.

DirectX 기반 입체 게임 영상의 깊이감 조절 기법 (Depth Scaling Method of DirectX-based Stereoscopic Game Image)

  • 방송과 영화 등에서의 영상 기술의 발전은 최근 3차원 입체 영상에 대한 관심을 증가시켜 왔다. 뿐만 아니라 2차원 영상의 한계로 인하여 3차원 콘텐츠에서의 입체 영상 표현 기술 개발이 시간이 지날수록 더욱 활발해지고 있다. 이는 단지 방송 분야에 국한되는 것이 아니라 의료, 교육 등 다양한 분야에서 폭넓게 접할 수 있도록 입체 영상 기술이 개발, 연구되고 있다. 하지만 입체감 표현에 있어 필요한 정교한 연출과 입체감 인지에 따른 피로감 발생 등의 이유로 예측 불허로 변화하는 게임과 같은 실시간 시스템에서 입체 영상 기술의 접목은 거의 이루어지지 않고 있다. 본 논문에서는 DirectX SDK 그래픽 파이프라인의 기하학적 구조를 바탕으로 입체감을 효율적으로 다룰 수 있고 상황에 따른 자동 시점 간격 조정을 통해 피로감을 해결하는 깊이감 조절 기법을 설계하였다. 이를 통해 입체 영상 기술이 접목된 게임 제작이 활발히 이루어질수 있는 새로운 대안을 제시해보고자 한다.

기-액 혼합 플라즈마 방전 시스템에서 화학적 활성종의 생성 (Study on the Generation of Chemically Active Species Using Gas-liquid Mixing Plasma Discharging System)

  • High-voltage dielectric discharges are an emerging technique in environmental pollutant degradation, which are characterized by the production of hydroxyl radicals as the primary degradation species. The initiation and propagation of the electrical discharges depends on several physical, chemical, and electrical parameters such as 1st and 2nd voltage of power, gas supply, conductivity and pH. These parameters also influence the physical and chemical characteristics of the discharges, including the production of reactive species such as OH, $H_2O_2$ and $O_3$. The experimental results showed that the optimum 1st voltage and oxygen flow rate for RNO (N-Dimethyl-4-nitrosoaniline, indicator of the generation of OH radical) degradation were 160 V (2nd voltage of is 15 kV) and 4 L/min, respectively. As the 2nd voltage (4 kV to 15 kV) was increase, RNO degradation was increased and, generated $H_2O_2$ and $O_3$ concentration were increased. The conductivity of the solution was not influencing the RNO degradation, $H_2O_2$ and $O_3$ generation. The pH effect on RNO degradation was not high. However, the lower pH and the conductivity, the higher $H_2O_2$ and $O_3$ generation were observed.
