  • 다양한 경로를 통하여 입수할 수 있는 지리적인 정보는 지도 흑은 해도, 표, 그래프, 좌표난 다른 형태 등 다양한 형태로 표현되고 전자해도도 이러한 다양한 표현수단중 하나이다. 전자해도(ENC)는 지리적인 정보, 즉 지리적인 이름과 수심, 등심선 등의 수치와 해도, 표, 그래프 등 도형들의 집합물로서 이를 전자해도의 국제규격인 S-57 format으로 표현하고 ENC product specification에 따라 체계적인 형태로 저장된 데이터로 이는 저작권법이 규정하고 있는 데이터 베이스의 정의에 부합하는 저작물이라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 전자해도의 발행 목적은 바다에서 안전을 책임지는 것이고 환경 보호에 기여하는 것으로 이들 디지털 해도 시스템은 off-shore 산업 환경과 지질학상의 행정과 같이 해상에 대한 적용뿐만 아니라 상업적 해운업, 해군 작전, 어업선과 레져, 선박과 같은 곳에서 사용된다. 따라서 앞으로 계속하여 증가될 전자해도의 수요증대 및 활성화를 대비하여 다양한 수요자의 요구를 충족시킬 뿐 만 아니라 업무의 효율을 기할 수 있는 공식적인 디지털 항해 상품의 공급방안, 가격결정 및 관리 시스템이 구축되어야 하고, 전자해도 데이터의 다양한 응용과 관련하여 공급된 데이터의 사용 및 변형범위와 데이터의 오류로 인한 피해 발생 시 책임소재 등의 문제들이 검토되어야 한다.

  • Inkjet printing technology is a highly proprietary process. We have evaluated the possibility of using inkjet technique to prepare color filters. Product specification for TV application was used as a template to examine process capability. Technical aspects of ink composition, jetting ability, and surface interaction were discussed.

  • This technology Provides an economical Production of high value added goods applicable to electro chemicals by recycling of waste products in EGL(Electro Galvanizing Line). The waste products produced in EGL contain potassium chloride (KCI), nickel and zinc. Highly pure KCI and Zinc Chloride which are raw material of electro plating, can be produced by the development of the recycling process. The scope of this study ranges from laboratory experiments to pilot test in plant. We have developed the whole process of recycling technology such as purification method of waste products, fabrication methods of electro chemicals, basic design of plant, pilot scale production and evaluation of pilot goods, Developed electro chemicals were pure enough to satisfy the specification of steel company.

Variation Stack-Up Analysis Using Monte Carlo Simulation for Manufacturing Process Control and Specification

  • In modern manufacturing, a product consists of many components created by different processes. Variations in the individual component dimensions and in the processes may result in unacceptable final assemblies. Thus, engineers have increased pressure to properly set tolerance specifications for individual components and to control manufacturing processes. When a proper variation stack-up analysis is not performed for all of the components in a functional system, all component parts can be within specifications, but the final assembly may not be functional. Thus, in order to improve the performance of the final assembly, a proper variation stack-up analysis is essential for specifying dimensional tolerances and process control. This research provides a detailed case example of the use of variation stack-up analysis using a Monte Carlo simulation method to improve the defect rate of a complex process, which is the commutator brush track undercut process of an armature assembly of a small motor. Variations in individual component dimensions and process mean shifts cause high defect rate, Since some dimensional characteristics have non-normal distributions and the stack-up function is non-linear, the Monte Carlo simulation method is used.

  • In this paper, We designed and implemented 20 watt high power amplifier which can be used for the commercial services in band of 1.86 ~ 1.870Hz at PCS. In order to satisfy ACPR, We designed by using the ADS(Advanced Design System)ver1.3. The HPA is fabricated on tepron substrate($\varepsilon_{{\gamma}}$ =3.15, H=0.78mm, T=0.02mm). The implemented HPA measured The ACPR characteristics at $\pm$ 885kHz, $\pm$ 1.25MHz, $\pm$2.25MHz. The HPA meets specification with good ACPR. The HPA is expected to use as a commercial product of PCS base station.roduct of PCS base station.

  • This paper considers a strategy for planning of rework in semiconductor monitoring burn-in test process. The equipment error in monitoring burn-in test process generates many defects. These defects are transformed into good products by rework process, i.e. retest. Rework has the advantage of saving production costs. But rework increases holding costs and incurs rework costs. In monitoring burn-in test process, rework depends on operator's experience with no pre-defined specification. In practice, a number of rework activities are performed with respect to the product importance and inventory quantity. Moreover, disregard for order jobs schedule have caused due date penalties. So a strategy for planning of rework by which order jobs schedule are not affected is suggested. Futhermore, production costs, rework costs and inventory costs for planning of rework are considered.

  • The machining parts must be produced within the specification of drawing and those will be able to meet function and efficiency. At that time. it is necessary not only precision machine or machining technique but also the measurement technique is very important. So. the improvement of precise measurement technique is to be joined together at once with improvement of product technique. Finally. he quality and value of the parts are decided by precision measurement. This paper aims to study on he measurement uncertainty when the machined parts are inspected with 3-dimensional coordinate measuring machine. The objectives are to remove an error of measurement and to improve quality and productivity of the mass products.

A Modified Target Costing Technique to Improve Product Quality from Cost Consideration

  • The target costing technique, mathematically discussed by Sauers, only uses the $C_p$ index along with Taguchi loss function and ${\bar{X}}-R$ control charts to set up goal control limits. The new specification limits derived from Taguchi loss function is linked through the $C_p$ value to ${\bar{X}}-R$ control charts to obtain goal control limits. This study further considers the reflected normal loss function as well as the $C_{pk}$ index along with its lower confidence interval in forming goal control limits. With the use of lower confidence interval to replace the point estimator of the $C_{pk}$ index and reflected normal loss function proposed by Spiring to measure the loss to society, this modified and improved target costing technique would become more robust and applicable in practice. Finally, an example is provided to illustrate how this modified and improved target costing technique works.

  • This paper derives Lagrange multiplier tests based on Double-Length Artificial Regression and Outer-Product Gradient for testing linear and log-linear panel regressions against Box-Cox alternatives. The proposed DLR based LM tests are easy to implement in an error component model. From the Monte Carlo study, the DLR based LM tests are recommended for testing functiona forms.

  • Spinning is one of the incremental forming process by the rotating mandrel and forming roller, and has been applied to manufacturing the wheel disc of automobile to simplify the manufacturing process and to improve the mechanical properties of product. In the proesent study the process variables have been extracted and considered to decide the specification of the spinning machine. The maximum values of working load and power have been evaluated and the blank size has been disigned. The shape and dimensionof forming roller have been designed and the process condition such a s rotational velocity of mandrel and the feedrate of roller have been decided.
