The strain measurement of the panel in the sheet metal forming is essential work which provides experimental data needed to die design, process design, and product inspection. To measure efficiently the complex geometry strain, the 3-dimensional automative strain measurement system, which has high accuracy in theory, but has some 3∼5% errors in practice, is often used. The object of this study is to develop the error compensation technology to eliminate the strain, errors resulted when formed panels are measured using an automated strain measurement system. To achieve the study object, the position error calibration method correcting coordinates of the grid node recognized by a camera using error functions is suggested. Then the position errors were found by calculating the difference in the position of the cube node between real coordinates and measured coordinates in toms of node coordinates and the error calibration equations were derived by regressing the position errors. In order to show the validation of the suggested position error calibration method, finite element analysis and current calibration method was performed for the initial-blankformed.
This Paper Proposes the test pieces of X, Y and Z axes to compensate the shape distortion of Selective Laser Sintering(SLS) parts resulting from the phase change during the sintering process. In no case of the proposed compensation test pieces of X, Y axes the accurate rates of shrinkage can be measured with the reduction of curling which is obtained from adjustment of build orientation and the formula used to get scale factors are proposed with the shrinkage rates of them. The scale factors of X, Y and Z axes are generated by building up proposed compensation test pieces. The generated scale iactors are required to satisfy the dimensional accuracy even if there are changes of the build position and the size of SLS parts in the build chamber. For this reason, it is proposed that the build positions and the size be considered to be noise factors against the compensation test pieces and a method is also proposed that scale factors be selected to robustly maintain the dimensional accuracy of SLS parts under the actual operating conditions with the application of the Taguchi Method.

This paper presents a new method of external load disturbance compensation using deadbeat load torque observer and gain compensation by parameter estimator. The response of the permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) follows the nominal plant. The load torque compensation method is composed of a deadbeat observer. To reduce the noise effect, the post-filter implemented by moving average(MA) process is adopted. The parameter compensator with recursive least square method(RLSM) parameter estimator is suggested to make the new system work as same as the name plate system which in used to take gains. The proposed estimator is combined with a high performance load torque observer to resolve the problems. As a result, the proposed control system has a robust and precise system against the load torque and the parameter variation. A stability and usefulness are verified by computer simulation and experiment.
A fixed off-time controlled high power factor ac-dc LED driver is proposed in this paper, which employs a novel zero-crossing-compensation (ZCC) circuit based on a fixed off-time controlled scheme. Due to the parasitic parameters of the system, the practical waveforms have a dead region. By detecting the zero-crossing boundary, the proposed ZCC circuit compensates the control signal VCOMP within the dead region, and is invalid above this region. With further optimization of the parameters KR and Kτ of the ZCC circuit, the dead zone can be eliminated and lower THD is achieved. Finally, the chip is implemented in HHNEC 0.5μm 5V/40V HVCMOS process, and a prototype circuit, delivering 7~12W of power to several 3-W LED loads, is tested under AC input voltage ranging from 85V to 265V. The test results indicate that the average total harmonic distortion (THD) of the entire system is approximately 10%, with a minimum of 5.5%, and that the power factor is above 0.955, with a maximum of 0.999.
Springback, an elastic material recovery after the unloading of stamping tools, causes variations and inconsistencies of final part dimensions. Recently, narrow and long surround molding parts around door frame are applied to high grade automobiles, but there are great difficulties in their die development, construction and tryout because of several springback modes including vertical movement and twist during flange forming process of them. So it is very important to predict springback's quantities of a surround molding part and, moreover, to compensate the die for them adequately, when they can't be corrected by the restrike operation. This paper presents a case study based on the die design for a surround molding part made of stainless steel. The forming and springback predictions, carried out using PAMSTAMP 2G, are reported and compared with the measurement data of the prototype. The predicted springback results were acceptable, so the processes of compensating die using Automatic Die Compensation Module of PAMSTAMP 2G were performed iteratively until the tolerances between the designed shape and the simulation data were satisfied.
Since well-calibrated satellite data is critical for their applications, calibration and validation of COMS science data was one of the key activities during the IOT. COMS MI radiometric calibration process was divided into two phases according to the out-gassing of the sensor: calibrations of the visible (VI) and infrared (IR) channels. Different from the VIS calibration, the calibration steps for the IR channels followed additional processes to secure their radiometric performances. Primary calibration steps of the IR were scan mirror emissivity correction, midnight effect compensation, slope averaging and 1/f noise compensation after a nominal calibration. First, the scan mirror emissivity correction was conducted to compensate the variability of the scan mirror emissivity driven by the coating material on the scan mirror. Second, the midnight effect correction was performed to remove unreasonable high spikes of the slope values caused by the excessive radiative sources during the local midnight. After these steps, the residual (difference between the previous slope and the given slope) was filtered by a smoothing routine to eliminate the remnant random noises. The 1/f noise compensation was also carried out to filter out the lower frequency noises caused from the electronics in the Imager. With through calibration processes during the entire IOT period, the calibrated IR data showed excellent performances.

This paper presents a 2-6 GHz GaN HEMT power amplifier monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) with bridged-T all-pass filters and output-reactance-compensation shorted stubs using the $0.25{\mu}m$ GaN HEMT foundry process that is developed by WIN Semiconductors, Inc. The bridged-T filter is modified to mitigate the bandwidth degradation of impedance matching due to the inherent channel resistance of the transistor, and the shorted stub with a bypass capacitor minimizes the output reactance of the transistor to ease wideband load impedance matching for maximum output power. The fabricated power amplifier MMIC shows a flat linear gain of 20 dB or more, an average output power of 40.1 dBm and a power-added efficiency of 19-26 % in 2 to 6 GHz, which is very useful in applications such as communication jammers and electronic warfare systems.

We have studied electro-optic characteristics of reflective $45^{\circ}$ twisted nematic liquid crystal display which implement the new LC orientation using of in-cell retarder film. For the embodiment of reflective liquid crystal display, essentially the optic compensation films was always needed and attached to the outside of glass substrate. In our study, these optic compensation film were not employed in reflective LC cell. On other hand we have employed the in-cell retarder to substitute the optic compensation film and were able to orient the LC molecules using this in-cell retarder. So we have developed the reflective LC cell that has good optical performances without any additional coating process on the in-cell retarder.

Image blurring in airborne camera can be prevented through timely actuation of LOS(Line of Sight) into the opposite direction to the aircraft advancement, i.e. FMC(Forward motion compensation). Performance verification of FMC requires installation of camera to the aircraft. However, in many ways the verification process has little choice but to be implemented in the laboratory. In this paper verification method of FMC performance in the laboratory is introduced. With collimator target installed in the known reference position image obtained by actual mission plan naturally displays image blurring as well as LOS displacement by FMC effect. Through comparison of the amount of those image blurring and LOS displacement to the equivalent image distortion expected by the application of the FMC reference command can the performance be verified. In this paper we propose a new verification method of FMC performance in laboratory along with generalized solution of FMC reference command, and assess the validity of our proposition.
