  • In the early industrial age which with high intensity of machine and labor, using financial measurement index was good enough to tie in company's mechanization and philosophy of management and been in efficiency. But being comply with "New Economic age," a new economic environment is full of knowledge and information, the enterprise competition had changed from tangible assets, plants to intangible innovation ability of knowledge. As recognizing the new tendency by enterprise, they value gradually the growth and influence from learning. Practice of organization learning not only needs firm structure and be in coordination with both hardware and software, but also needs an affect measurement model to offer enterprise to estimate learning performance. It's a good instrument of financial performance measure mold in the past years, But it's for measuring the past, couldn't formulate enterprise trend to future, hard to estimate investment for future, such as development of products, organization learning, knowledge management etc, as which intangible assets and knowledge ability just the key factors of being win around competition environment in the future. In 1992, Kaplan and Norton brought up Balance Scorecard (BSC) on Harvard Business Review, as an instrument helping enterprise to measure performance, which is being considered to be a most influence management instrument. It added non-financial index such as customer, internal process and learning growth besides traditional financial index, as offering enterprise an index to measure and manage intangible assets and intellectual property. As being aware of organization learning is hard to be ignored in the new economic age, this research is based on learning and growth of BSC, and citing one national material company try to let the most difficult measurement performance of organization learning, to be estimate through BSC, analyze of factor and individual case, to discuss the company how to make the related strategy and vision of organization learning to develop learning and growth of the structure of BSC, subject the matter of out put factors to be discussed, and measure the outcomes as a result of research. The research affect offers (1) the base implement procedure of carrying out BSC; (2) the reference of formulating measurement index while enterprise using BSC to estimate performance of organization learning; (3) the possibility bottleneck maybe forcing while carrying out BSC, to be an improvement or preventive for enterprise.

  • Chopped garlic was added to beef to determine its effect on the protein digestion during storage and heat treatment. The digestibility of raw beef without garlic was not significantly changed during storage at $4^{\circ}C$, but increased as garlic added and aging time increased. The optimal aging time and amount of garlic added was varied with heating time. Trypsin inhibitor did not change the digestibility of beef due to its thermal inactivation. Gel chromatography revealed that the lower molecular weight peptides(2,200~6,150 dalton) were shown in beef-garlic mixture through aging and heating procedure. When aged beef with garlic was digested with four-enzyme system, the soluble portion was increased significantly in comparison with that from raw beef without garlic. Protein quality of beef, as measured by computed PER(C-PER), was improved from 2.14 of raw beef to 2.50 of aged beef with chopped garlic.

  • In this study, we intended to develope a simulation program for assessing a building height whether or not acceptable for maintaining the visual quality of a forest landscape. A number of geographical factors were considered within the assessment procedure. As the visual quality of a landscape could vary according to the location of view points, we examined 3 methodologies for setting up the view points. The result for comparison between method of selecting viewpoints was not significantly effecting method of selecting viewpoints. Post hoc test showed a moderately large p-value and no significant differences between groups were observed. The result from a case study indicated that the simulation program is able to estimate an environmentally acceptable building height in an efficient manner. In this study, however, only the geographical factors were considered for the assessment, but forest dynamic information such as stand height was not considered. Thus, in the further study, forest stand height would be necessarily considered to estimate a more reliable and desirable building height.

  • Based on the characteristics of the weapon system, a government-funded research institute or a defense industry company is selected as the R&D supervision institution. On the other hand, research for the selection of a R&D supervision institution has not been conducted actively. This paper proposes a methodology for selecting R&D supervision institutions, such as procedure and indices. First, candidates of the index were obtained using data investigation and consulting, and five indices were deduced using Delphi. The weight of the indices was set using AHP. The high element consisted of 'Technical elements' and 'Business element'. The low element of 'Technical elements' consisted of 'Possession and readiness of critical technology' and 'Experience of similar R&D'. The low element of 'Business element' consisted of 'Base circumstance of the project', 'Risk management', and 'Will for the project'. The total weights of the indices were 'Possession and readiness of critical technology' 0.405, 'Experience of similar R&D' 0.297, 'Base circumstance of the project' 0.124, 'Risk management' 0.127, and 'Will for the project' 0.047. The indices were applied to the 00 weapon system and the result was deduced.

  • Background: The use of a functionally closed system for the glycerolization and deglycerolization of red blood cells (RBCs) allows for prolonged post-thaw storage for more than 24 hours. The aim of this study was to assess glycerolization and deglycerolization processing for RBCs using a high glycerol method in the automated, closed system provided by Haemonetics ACP 215. Methods: Thirty-five packed RBCs were glycerolized using the ACP 215 to a final concentration of 40% (wt/vol). The units were either frozen as such (n=30) or excess glycerol was removed (n=5) before freezing. After storage at $-80^{\circ}C$, the units were thawed, deglycerolized and resuspended in SAG-M. The frozen-thawed RBCs were stored at $4^{\circ}C$, and analyzed for their stability and in vitro quality. Results: No prefreeze excess glycerol removal units showed significantly less potassium leakage during post-thaw storage compared to the prefreeze excess glycerol removal units. All measurements of the stability and in vitro quality of thawed RBCs prepared from frozen RBCs without the prefreeze removal of excess glycerol during post-thaw storage at $4^{\circ}C$ for 7 days were acceptable to the American Blood Bank Association's standards and European standards. Conclusion: RBCs frozen without prefreeze removal of excess glycerol and the ACP 215 simplifies cryopreservation procedure and increases the stability of frozen-thawed RBCs. This increases the practical applicability of cryopreserved RBCs in blood transfusion practice.

  • Background Sternal rigid plate fixation (RPF) has been adopted in recent years in high-risk cases to reduce complications associated with steel wire cerclage, the traditional approach to sternal closure. While sternal RPF has been associated with lower complication rates than wire cerclage, it has its own complication profile that requires evaluation, necessitating a critical examination from a national perspective. This study will report the outcomes and associated risk factors of sternal RPF using a national database. Methods Patients undergoing sternal RPF from 2005 to 2016 in the American College of Surgeons-National Surgical Quality Improvement Program were identified. Demographics, perioperative information, and complication rates were reviewed. Logistic regression analysis was performed to identify risk factors for postoperative complications. Results There were 381 patient cases of RPF identified. The most common complications included bleeding (28.9%), mechanical ventilation >48 hours (16.5%), and reoperation/readmission (15.2%). Top risk factors for complications included dyspnea (odds ratio [OR], 2.672; P<0.001), nonelective procedure (OR, 2.164; P=0.010), congestive heart failure (OR, 2.152; P=0.048), open wound (OR, 1.977; P=0.024), and operating time (OR, 1.005; P<0.001). Conclusions Sternal RPF is associated with increased rates of three primary complications: blood loss requiring transfusion, ventilation >48 hours, and reoperation/readmission, each of which affected over 15% of the study population. Smokers remain at an increased risk for surgical site infection and sternal dehiscence despite RPF's purported benefit to minimize these outcomes. Complications of primary versus delayed sternal RPF are roughly equivalent, but individual patients may perform better with one versus the other based on identified risk factors.

  • Due to the trend toward computerization of business services in public sector and the push for e-government, the volume of records that are produced in electronic system and the types of records vary as well. Of those types, dataset is attracting everyone's attention because it is rapidly being supplied. Even though the administrative information system stipulated as an electronic record production system is increasing in number, as it is in blind spot for records management, the system can be superannuated or the records can be lost in case new system is developed. In addition, the system was designed not considering records management, it is managed in an unsatisfactory state because of not meeting the features and quality requirements as records management system. In the advanced countries, they recognized the importance of dataset and then managed the archives for dataset and carried out the project on management systems and a preservation formats for keeping data. Korea also is carrying out the researches on an dataset and individual administrative information systems, but the official scheme has not been established yet. In this study the items for managing archives which should be reflected when the administrative information system is designed was offered in two respects - an identification method and a quality requirement. The major directions for this system are as follows. First, as the dataset is a kind of an electronic record, it is necessary to reflect this factor from the design step prior to production. Second, the system should be established integrating the strategy for records management to the information strategy for the whole organization. In this study, based on such two directions the strategies to establish the identification for dataset in a frame to push e-government were suggested. The problem on the archiving steps including preservation format and the management procedures in dataset archive does not included in the research contents. In line with this, more researches on those contents as well as a variety of researches on dataset are expected to be more actively conducted.

  • Velocity model building is an essential procedure in seismic data processing. Conventional techniques, such as traveltime tomography or velocity analysis take longer computational time to predict a single velocity model and the quality of the inversion results is highly dependent on human expertise. Full-waveform inversions also depend on an accurate initial model. Recently, deep neural network techniques are gaining widespread acceptance due to an increase in their integration to solving complex and nonlinear problems. This study investigated cases of seismic velocity model building using deep neural network techniques by classifying items according to the neural networks used in each study. We also included cases of generating training synthetic velocity models. Deep neural networks automatically optimize model parameters by training neural networks from large amounts of data. Thus, less human interaction is involved in the quality of the inversion results compared to that of conventional techniques and the computational cost of predicting a single velocity model after training is negligible. Additionally, unlike full-waveform inversions, the initial velocity model is not required. Several studies have demonstrated that deep neural network techniques achieve outstanding performance not only in computational cost but also in inversion results. Based on the research results, we analyzed and discussed the characteristics of deep neural network techniques for building velocity models.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze differences in imaging quality and dose difference between intra-venous (IV) and intra-arterial (IA) liver dynamic computed tomography (CT). Herein, retrospective, blinded analysis was conducted to analyze signal-to-noise and contrast-to-noise ratios in cases of patients who underwent IV or IA liver dynamic CT for transarterial chemoembolization (TACE), an interventional procedure for hepatocellular carcinoma. The dose length product (DLP) value stored in Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS) was used to calculate the effective dose and thereby compare differences in the dose between the two methods. The mean liver and spleen signal to noise ratio (SNR) was greater in IV-liver dynamic CT than in IA-liver dynamic CT; however, contrast to noise ratio (CNR) was higher in IA-liver dynamic CT than in IV-liver dynamic CT. However, there were no differences in DLP and effective dose between the two methods. In conclusion, our findings showed that IA-liver dynamic CT showed a similar effective dose and superior CNR compared with IV-liver dynamic CT. Further studies must analyze 3D angiography CT of the hepatic artery to clearly distinguish the feeding artery, which is the essential step in interventional procedures for hepatocellular carcinoma.
