  • As digitalization accelerates, the use of digital information is increasing in public institutions such as schools and libraries, and the demand for print services is also increasing. Among many services, printing service on public PCs should charge fee to printer users, but it is a very difficult task for administrators. Print management solutions have been developed and are now widely used to automate these demanding tasks. In this paper, we analyze the vulnerability of printer management solutions used in public institutions. However, the security awareness of public PC administrators and printer management solution developers seem to be lacking.

  • A wide range of applications for Foot Print Recognition System is discussed in this paper. The whole concept works under the principle that foot print is a parameter associated with biometrics that is very common as well as distinct. Its foremost application is at the government hospitals in the under developed and third world nations where there aren't the best of facilities. This system can be applied in the maternity ward of the hospitals for the identification or differentiation of the infants. Till date there has been no specialized system adopted for this purpose. The Foot Print Recognition System will overcome all the defects of any biometrics when applied here. Since the child will be very delicate for an iris scan and it will not be able to open its eyes wide or to correctly place its finger print on the sensor since the hands of a new born infant will be closed for a while. The Foot Print Recognition system can also be implemented in temples where there are cases of theft often reported. This can be used to grant access to the karpagraham of the deity by authorized users alone. These 2 applications of FPRS are discussed in this paper.

  • A novel key exchange cryptographic method utilizing biometric finger print as a user's private key is proposed. Each unknown users' finger print is encrypted by optical phase-shifting interferometry principle and is changed into two ciphers, which are exchanged with the other party over a public communication network for secret key sharing. The transmitted ciphers generate a complex hologram, which is used to calculate a shared secret key for each user. The proposed method provides high security when applied to a secret key sharing encryption system.

  • From public insecurity, access of wealth, alteration of population structure, and changes of security recognition, physical security has been continuously developed and changed. In these days, typical systems for physical security are unmanned security system using telephone network and security equipment, image recognition system using DVR and camera, and access control system by finger print recognition and RFID cards. However, physical security system is broadening its domain towards ICT based convergence with networked camera, biometrics, individual authentication, and LBS services. This paper proposes main technical trends and various security convergences for future physical security services by classifying the security categories into 3 parts; Individual security for personal protection, IT Convergence for large buildings, and Homeland Security for omni-directional security.

  • On May 1, 2019, the Minister of Health and Welfare announced publicly the first Comprehensive Plan of National Health Insurance (NHI). The Comprehensive Plan which is the 5-year plan including expenditure and revenue aspect of NHI, is desirable in 42 years of introduction of NHI and 30 years of universal coverage of NHI, though the Plan was late and had some conflict process. The Comprehensive Plan was established without evaluation of Moon's Care Plan, did not included to relationship with NHI and other health security systems, and did not have the blue print of NHI. The Plan was not sufficient in content of adequate health care utilization and relationship with service benefit and cash benefit. The Comprehensive Plan should be modified in considering the blue print of NHI and national healthcare system with participating stakeholder in turbulent environment-low fertility, rapid ageing, low economic growth rate, era of non-communicable diseases, unification of the Korean Peninsula, and 4th industrial revolution. Therefore, I suggest to establish the President's Committee of Improving Healthcare System for the blue print of health care and NHI.

  • Knowledge management system building knowledge acquisition, knowledge share, and knowledge maintenance for the member of corporation is expanded throughout whole industry to cope with rapid business environment. Electronic document basing knowledge management system can copy, print, and transfer knowledge to another party, so it is being regarded as a essential infrastructure to share knowledge. However, considering most of information leakage is sprung up by insider of organization, it is considered to provide countermeasure to protect illegal use from information leakage. The purpose of this paper is to establish digital information security system through design of document and manage digital information assets safely through electronic document security system protecting illegal leakage of digital information assets.

  • IoT, Cloud, Bigdata, Mobile, AI, and 3D print, which are called as the main axis of the 4th Industrial Revolution, can be predicted to be changed when the technology is applied to the military. Especially, when I think about the purpose of battle, I think that IoT, Cloud, Bigdata, Mobile, and AI will play many role. Therefore, in this paper, Smart Military is defined as the future military that incorporates these five technologies, and the architecture is established and the appropriate information security model is studied. For this purpose, we studied the existing literature related to IoT, Cloud, Bigdata, Mobile, and AI and found common elements and presented the architecture accordingly. The proposed architecture is divided into strategic information security and tactical information security in the Smart Military environment. In the case of vulnerability, the information security is divided into strategic information security and tactical information security. If a protection system is established, it is expected that the optimum information protection can be constructed within an effective budget range.

  • With the Development of Information Technology, Security is becoming very Important. Existing Security Systems are Mostly Expensive and Not Easy to Implement, and are Also very Complex when using Biometric Information. In this paper, We try to solve this Problem by Implementing a Low cost Internet based Security Terminal Using Fingerprint and Face Image. To Implement a Low-cost Security System, a Fingerprint Scanner and a Camera are installed in Raspberry pi, and the Scanned Image is encrypted with the AES-256 Algorithm and Transmitted to Cloud. Through This Study, We confirmed the Possibility of the Proposed System in view of Authentication, Cost Reduction, Security and Scalability.

  • Widespread personal data utilization has led personal data protection to its importance at core, and serious data spill has increased constantly as a result. Though various types of protection systems for data spill have been suggested, all these met failures in detection of personal data when printed out or preventing fatal data exposure without any protections when data spill happens. I propose API-Hook method which detects and controls personal data within printouts, and prevents data leakage through masking on the printed-out data. Also, it is verified if security is guaranteed on the documents containing personal data when implementing. In order to obtain security, it is essential to put more weights on the balance with availability than confidentiality.

  • Biometric-based authentication can provide strong security guarantee about the identity of users. However, security of biometric data is particularly important as the compromise of the data will be permanent. To protect the biometric data, we need to store it in a non-invertible transformed version. Thus, even if the transformed version is compromised, the actual biometric data remains safe. In this paper, we propose an approach to protect finger-print templates by using the idea of the fuzzy vault. Fuzzy vault is a recently developed cryptographic construct to secure critical data with the fingerprint data in a way that only the authorized user can access the secret by providing the valid fingerprint. We modify the fuzzy vault to protect fingerprint templates and to perform fingerprint verification with the protected template at the same time. This is challenging because the fingerprint verification is performed in the domain of the protected form. Based on the experimental results, we confirm that the proposed approach can perform the fingerprint verification with the protected template.
