자치적 방어 시스템을 위한 모델베이스기반 설계 (Model-based Design for Autonomous Defense Systmes)

  • The major objective of this research is to propose a design architecture for autonomous defense systems for supporting highly intelligent behavior by combining decision, perception, and action components. Systems with such high levels of autonomy are critical for advanced battlefield missions. By integrating a plenty of advanced modeling concepts such as system entity structure, endomorphic modeling, engine-based modeling, and hierarchical encapsulation & abstraction principle, we have proposed four layered design methodology for autonomous defense systems that can support an intelligent behavior under the complicated and unstable warfare. Proposed methodology has been successfully applied to a design of autonomous tank systems capable of supporting the autonomous planning, sensing, control, and diagnosis.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of expression and formal principle of universalism in Architectural Composition. Theorical category is to find universal system with the connection between idea of society and tradition in compositional frame the results were as follows : First it is the pursuit of divine. Through Middle Age and Renaissance universalism of principles in Architectural Composition is appeared a numerical order and human proportion with applying of cosmology. Second it is the pursuit of schema. With the simplicity of formal image it represented to the geometrical form for its clearness. Third it is the pursuit of typology. As to play a role of decisive factor in formal construction type represented the model with abstraction of shape.

한국 전통복식과 기하추상 예술의 정신적 유사성 (Mental similarities between the traditional Korean costume and geometric abstraction art)

  • Geometric abstract art has been a persistent form since ancient times and is defined in modernity as a genre of abstract painting. According to previous studies, the geo- metric structure of traditional Korean costume possesses uniqueness based on Korean thought and philosophy. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to first derive the characteristics of Wilhelm Worringer's theory, a theorist of geometric abstraction, and then compare the spiritual similarities between the traditional Korean costume and geometric abstract art, with the aim of examining the artistic competitiveness of Hanbok. Photographic materials from domestic and international museums, as well as books published by museums and government agencies, were analyzed. Further, the characteristics of Worringer's theory of the abstract impulse were derived. The results are as follows. First, the external factors are characterized by a single geometric shape on a flat surface with restrained spatial expression. The internal factors include anxiety, comfort from religion or ideology, and the need for a visual refuge for rest. Second, traditional Korean costume and geometric abstraction share common spiritual contexts of artistry, transcendence, and stability according to Worringer's theory. Third, the study of the spiritual similarities between the traditional Korean costume and geometric abstract art through Worringer's theory reveals that the artistry of traditional Korean costume is expressed in universal forms, transcendence as intrinsic origins, and stability as a unique aesthetic consciousness. These findings provide a framework for reinterpreting the originality and universality of traditional Korean costume as Korean cultural content, infused with the characteristics of modern art.

Evaluations for Fraud in L/C Transactions, and Counter-Measures

  • Purpose - The letter of credit has been playing a major role to diminish overall risks which exist among concerned parties even though there are differences such as language, culture, law, and distance. This paper reviews essence of the letter of credit and its transaction principles, as well as overall practical questions based on the L/C transaction principle. It also investigates the risk of fraud occurrences in L/C transactions and the importance of fraud prevention and preventive measures in international L/C transactions, including the Fraud Rule, which is a major topic to consider in business transactions. Design/methodology - It is considered that an importing country's concerned parties and an exporting country's concerned parties face different situations. This study employs the existing framework to identify liability, responsibility, and obligation for all concerned parties across countries. Using a quite direct measurement of principles in the letter of credit, such as principle of independence, principle of abstraction, and principle of strictness and coincidence, we studied these differences. Findings - Our main findings can be summarized as follow. The paper enhances the efficiency of the L/C payment method to provide fraud generated from L/C transactions, presentation of a theoretical framework about fraud and fraud prevention, which international trading companies should acknowledge in a material way based on fraud risk resulting from taking advantage of L/C transaction principles. Originality/value - Existing studies focus on fraud accidents in L/C transactions by taking bad advantage of the characteristics of the letter of credit without suggesting risks of fraud. This paper attempts to evaluate and provide preventive measures as a solution for fraud and risky international business in a letter of credit transaction. This area of trade studies is underexplored, both empirically and theoretically, although the issue has long been important to Korean and world community foreign trade.

수준별 교육과정의 적용에 따른 수학과 심화 보충 과정과 특별 보충 과정의 내용 선정 및 교수-학습 자료 구성 방향 - 중학교 1학년 1학기 수학과 내용을 중심으로 - (The Supplemental and Enriched Course, and Special Remedy Course for Differentiated Curriculum of Mathematics)

  • One of the main features of the 7th revised national curriculum is the implementation of a 'Differentiated Curriculum'. Differentiated Curriculum is often interpreted as meaning the same as 'tracking' or 'ability grouping' in western countries. In the 7th revised curriculum, mathematics is organized and implemented by 'Level-Based Differentiated Curriculum'. To develop mathematics textbooks and teaching-and-learning materials for Differentiated Curriculum, the ideas of 'Enriched and Supplemental Differentiated Curriculum'need to be applied, that is, to provide advanced contents for fast learners, and plain contents for slow learners. Level Based Differentiated Curriculum could be implemented by ability grouping either between classes or within classes. According to these two exemplary models, the implementation models for supplemental course and enriched course are determined. The contents for supplemental course are comprised of minimal essential elements selected from the standard course at a decreased level of complexity and abstraction. The contents of enriched courses are focused on various applications of mathematical knowledge in the real world. Special remedy course will be offered to extremely underachieved students, The principles of developing teaching-and-learning material for special remedy course were obtained from the histo-genetic principle, progressive mathematizing principle, and constructivism.

Recognition of the Printed English Sentence by Using Japanese Puzzle

  • In this paper we embody a system that recognizes printed alphabet, numeral figures and symbols written on the keyboard for the recognition of English sentences. The image of the printed sentences is inputted and binarized, and the characters are separated by using histogram method that is the same as the existing character recognition method. During the abstraction of the individual characters, we classify one group that has not numerical information by the projection of the vertical center of the character. In case of another group that has the longer width than the height, we assort them by normalizing the width. The other group normalizes the height of the images. With the reverse application of the basic principle of the Japanese Puzzle to a normalized character image, the proposed system classifies and recognizes the printed numeral figures, symbols and characters, consequently we meet with good result.

  • Supervisory control theory, which was first proposed by Ramadge and Wonahm, is a well-suited control theory for the control of complex systems such as semiconductor manufacturing systems, automobile manufacturing systems, and chemical processes because these are better modeled by discrete event models than by differential or difference equation models at higher levels of abstraction. Moreover, decentralized supervisory control is an efficient method for large complex systems according to the divide-and-conquer principle. Decentralized supervisors cannot observe the events those of which occur only within the other supervisors. Therefore decentralized supervisors can be designed according to supervisory control theory under partial observation. This paper presents a solution and a design procedure of supervisory control problem (SCP) for the case of decentralized control and SCP under partial observation (SCPPO). We apply the proposed design procedure to an experimental CIM Testbed. And we compare and analyze the designed decentralized supervisors and partially observed supervisors.

양의 비율로서 실수 (Real Numbers as Ratios of Quantities)

  • 밥 헤일은 최근 추상화 원리에 기초한 실수이론을 제안하였다. 그 이론에서 실수는 양의 비율로 간주되고, 양의 비율의 동일성은 유독소스에게서 유래된 비율 원리에 의해 설명된다. 그가 실수를 양의 비율로 정의하는 이유는 산수 개념의 정의는 그런 개념의 보편적 적용 가능성에 알맞게 이루어져야 한다는 프레게의 요구를 그가 만족시키려 하기 때문이다. 이 글에서 나는 실수적용에 대한 헤일의 설명이 왜 프레게 제한을 만족시키기 힘든지 보이고, 대안이 될 만한 설명을 제안한다. 나는 먼저 양 개념에 대한 그의 설명과 양의 영역에 관한 그의 약정 사이에 어떤 간격이 있고, 이 때문에 실수 적용에 대한 그의 설명에 어려움이 생긴다는 것을 보인다. 다음으로 나는 어떤 종류의 양들에나 적용될 수 있는 새로운 비율 원리를 제안하고, 그 원리는 양의 비율로서 실수들이 보편적으로 적용가능한 이유를 적합하게 설명해 준다고 주장한다. 마지막으로 나는 양의 측정 절차를 검토한 후, 실수의 성공적 적용을 위해 우리가 전제해야 할 원리들을 제시한다.

The Loom-LAG for syntax analysis Adding a language-independent level to LAG

  • The left-associative grammar model (LAG) has been applied successfully to the morphologic and syntactic analysis of various european and asian languages. The algebraic definition of the LAG is very well suited for the application to natural language processing as it inherently obeys de Saussure's second law (de Saussure, 1913, p. 103) on the linear nature of language, which phrase-structure grammar (PSG) and categorial grammar (CG) do not. This paper describes the so-called Loom-LAGs (LLAG) -a specialization of LAGs for the analysis of natural language. Whereas the only means of language-independent abstraction in ordinary LAG is the principle of possible continuations, LLAGs introduce a set of more detailed language-independent generalizations that form the so-called loom of a Loom-LAG. Every LLAG uses the very smut loom and adds the language-specific information in the form of a declarative description of the language -much like an ancient mechanised Jacquard-loom would take a program-card providing the specific pattern for the cloth to be woven. The linguistic information is formulated declaratively in so-called syntax plans that describe the sequential structure of clauses and phrases. This approach introduces the explicit notion of phrases and sentence structure to LAG without violating de Saussure's second law iud without leaving the ground of the original algebraic definition of LAG, LLAGS can in fact be shown to be just a notational variant of LAG -but one that is much better suited for the manual development of syntax grammars for the robust analysis of free texts.

  • This paper analyses the geometric aspect of Soma Delaunay's works on the basis of design elements and principles. Geometric pattern is one of the distinct features of early 20th century avant-garde works. The significance of its pattern and colour comes from the fact that it has not only influenced the contemporary fine art but also offered the basic principle of modern costume design. In 1925 she was designing clothes which could be worn today without appearing old-fashioned. She foresaw the future trends in fashion and interior decoration, One might claim she belongs to the avant-garde even today and no less astonishing a phenomenon than she was in 1925. Soma Delaunay's art was one of the first expressions of abstract painting and her "simultaneous contrasts"are among the earliest example of the aesthete. In Delaunay's geometric abstraction it is found that the technique of"simultaneous contrasts" is exploited almost without exception. colour as well as collage was the favourite technique Delnaunay used in creating a distinct simultaneity, Many "inobjective" paintings as she herself called unite the rigour of simple geometric forms with an inner life and poetry which emanate from the richness of the colour, the musicality of the rhythm, the vibrant breadth of the execution.rant breadth of the execution.
