The new self-priming addressing driving scheme was proposed to improve an address discharge time lag. It utilizes the priming effect maintaining the priming ramp discharge during an address period and the address discharge time lag is significantly improved. In this study, the basic characteristics of the priming ramp discharge are presented.

Considerable research in dieting has examined the goal priming effect that promotes successful dieting. However, priming literature found that the process of which priming is led to behaviors involves not only the priming construct itself but the momentary self-concept activated by the priming. Based on this notion, studies examined whether the active self-concept as an "unsuccessful dieter" or "successful dieter" determines the priming-to-behavior effect in dieting. Study 1 used contexts of the prime as manipulation for participants' active-self following the prime and measured their chronic self-concept in dieting (rated on the Perceived Self-Regulation Success [PSRS] in dieting scale) as a moderator. The result supported the active-self account for the effect of the dieting prime. The interaction of the PSRS scores and the priming contexts was found in the dieting behavior of participants. Participants whose chronic self-concept in dieting is unsuccessful (the low PSRS) showed the goal-congruent priming effect only in the condition where the priming context reminded them of their self-concept in favor of dieting success. In the context where their dieting failure in the past became salient, however, the participants with the low PSRS were more likely to succumb to tempting food. In contrast, eating behaviors of the high PSRS participants were independent of the contexts. Study 2 tested a possible mechanism from the active-self to the behaviors. It is concluded that the active-self operates in the priming process by influencing anticipatory thoughts rather than automatic responses toward foods. The implications for understanding repeated dieting failures and designing practical interventions to help dieters are discussed.

This study is related to the realization of high speed address driving method for Full-HD PDP. The new self-priming addressing(SPA) driving scheme was proposed to improve an address discharge time lag, which utilizes the priming effect maintaining the priming discharge during an address period. In this study, the basic characteristics of the priming ramp discharge were investigated and optimize the reset pulse and priming pulse. It is noted that the address discharge time lag is significantly improved from 1.2[${\mu}s$] to 0.8[${\mu}s$] when the slope of the priming ramp pulse is below 0.1[$V/{\mu}s$].

Priming Effect, as a part of "Contextual Effect" is the phenomenon that pre-searched product information influences consecutive product evaluation. "Priming Effect" is different from other types of "Contextual Effects" in that pre-searched information doesn't have an direct effect on product evaluation, but an indirect effect which means that pre-searched information influences interpretation of consecutive product evaluation. On the previous theoretical background, this study investigated that how visual images can influence consumer preference and product choice, introducing concept of priming effects into the design of on-line shopping malls. This experiment adopted the digital cameras as the experimental stimulus target products and designed the individual web pages by priming the attributes of price and size. In result of analysis, the difference of product preference by priming attributes was proved to be statistically significant. In this reason, suggesting the background of commercial web page can be the significant factor in choosing products, the priming effects introduced into the design can be positively employed in online advertising.mployed in online advertising.

This research was conducted to investigate the priming effect in Korean and English word production by Korean speakers. Picture-naming with distractors was used as experimental task. The type of target language, the type of distractor language and SOA(Stimulus Onset Asynchrony) were used as variables. Cross-linguistic priming effect and within-linguistic priming effect were mesured to investigate bilinguals' conceptual system.

This study analyzes the impact of Import beer demand on Anti-Japanese sentiment. Recently anti-Japanese sentiment heightened by the media was found to be drastically reducing the consumption of Japanese beer in the domestic imported beer market. Thus, the study used the import demand function of imported beer to analyze the impact of the 'Priming Effect' on the consumption of imported beer by anti-national sentiment, indicating a significant drop in Japanese beer consumption in other countries. Therefore, this study used the imported beer import demand function by country to analyze the impact of the priming effect on imported beer consumption according to anti-national sentiment. As a result, in the case of imported beer consumption in other countries, it was estimated that indirect consumption substitution occurred considerably.

The present experiment was done to determine the effect of priming, $GA_3$ and prechilling treatment alone and in their combination on germination of gourd (Lagenaria siceraria Standl.) seeds. Priming using $KNO_3$ and $GA_3$ were treated with different concentrations and periods whereas prechilling was done at only different periods. FR-yongjadaemok and FR-kunghap were used as test cultivars and their daily germination rates were measured at treatment levels. The best germination rate of each treatment was shown in a week prechilling at $3^{\circ}C$, a day priming with 100 mM $KNO_3$ and a day treatment with 0.01 mM $GA_3$ although the prechilling had the highest rate among them. The rate of priming treated after the prechilling was continuously decreased with its longer treatment periods and was less than no-priming. In addition, the rate of $GA_3$ treatment after the prechilling was not affected by its concentrations and treatment periods. Priming and $GA_3$ treatments before the prechilling, however, showed similar germiabilities between their treatment levels including no-treatment. The results mean that sequential order of available presowing treatments is important to enhancing the rate.

The affective primacy hypothesis of Murphy와 Zajonc(1983) was replicated in this study. The results of experiment 1 and 2 expanded the affective priming effect by facial valence as well as affective events on object rating. Experiment 3 explored the affective priming effect of schizophrenics at the supraliminal level and their results compared with those of normal subjects. For normal subjects the effect of affective priming was found only at the subliminal level but schizophrenics showed the assimilation effects by affective priming even at the supraliminal level. Finally. principles of affective processing were discussed.

Excavations by blasting in urban area have caused lots of complaints. Hence, special attentions need to be paid to controlling the ground vibrations in designing blasting for those areas. In this study, among the various parameters that can affect the propagation characteristics of ground vibrations, the effect of the priming location of explosive on the ground vibration level was studied for two types of emulsion explosives that had different detonation velocities. Three priming locations of top, middle, and bottom were considered in a charged hole. In the experiment on the effect of detonation velocity, the ground vibration caused by the explosive with a lower detonation velocity showed larger attenuation in the amplitude. The priming locations also affected the ground vibrations levels. The ground vibration level produced from middle priming was found to be larger than the other priming methods under the same blast conditions, but the attenuation of amplitude was also larger in this case. In contrast, the ground vibration level from bottom priming was not larger than the middle priming, but the attenuation was smaller so that the ground vibration was detected at a longer distance.
