Objectives: The purpose of this study was to report the treatment of a patient suffering from $Sj{\ddot{o}}gren^{\prime}s$ Syndrome with influenza A virus infection with Korean medicine. Methods: We used herbal medicine, acupuncture, and moxibustion to treat a patient during hospitalization. We observed the changes in symptoms using the European League against Rheumatism $Sj{\ddot{o}}gren^{\prime}s$ Syndrome Patient Reports Index (ESSPRI) and a visual analogue scale (VAS). Results: After treatment for 17 days, the patient's symptoms showed improvement in joint pain, dry eye, and dry mouth. The ESSPRI score was decreased from 10 to 5.3. The VAS for dry mouth and dry eye were decreased from 10 to 6 and from 10 to 5, respectively. Conclusion: This clinical case study suggests that Korean medicine treatment that includes Insamyangyoung-tang-gami could be effective in the treatment of $Sj{\ddot{o}}gren^{\prime}s$ Syndrome.

A sea star was collected from the Korea Strait in the waters adjacent to eastern Jeju Island, Korea ($33^{\circ}39^{\prime}86^{{\prime}{\prime}}N$, $127^{\circ}33^{\prime}12^{{\prime}{\prime}}E$) at a depth of 92 m on November 5, 2016. This specimen was identified as Marginaster paucispinus Fisher, 1913, from the family Poraniidae of the order Valvatida, based on morphological characteristics. The genus Marginaster Perrier, 1881 and M. paucispinus, which were first reported in the South China Sea, are new to the Korean fauna. Partial sequences of mitochondrial COI and 16S ribosomal RNA of M. paucispinus were have been determined for the first time and were deposited in GenBank. They are the first molecular records for the genus Marginaster.

The prime-boost vaccination with DNA vaccine and recombinant viral vector has emerged as an effective prophylactic strategy to control infectious diseases. Here, we compared the protective immunities induced by multiple alternating immunizations with DNA vaccine (pCIgB) and replication-incompetent adenovirus (Ad-gB) expressing glycoprotein gB of pseudorabies virus (PrV). The platform of pCIgB-prime and Ad-gB-boost induced the most effective immune responses and provided protection against virulent PrV infection. However, priming with pCIgB prior to vaccinating animals by the DNA vaccine-prime and Ad-boost protocol provided neither effective immune responses nor protection against PrV. Similarly, boosting with Ad-gB following immunization with DNA vaccine-prime and Ad-boost showed no significant responses. Moreover, whereas the administration of Ad-gB for primary immunization induced Th2-type-biased immunity, priming with pCIgB induced Th1-type-biased immunity, as judged by the production of PrV-specific IgG isotypes and cytokine IFN-$\gamma$. These results indicate that the order and injection frequency of vaccine vehicles used for heterologous prime-boost vaccination affect the magnitude and nature of the immunity. Therefore, our demonstration implies that the prime-boost protocol should be carefully considered and selected to induce the desired immune responses.

In this paper, we studied on 𝛽-fuzzy filters of Stone almost distributive lattices. An isomorphism between the lattice of 𝛽-fuzzy filters of a Stone ADL A onto the lattice of fuzzy ideals of the set of all boosters of A is established. The fact that any 𝛽-fuzzy filter of A is an e-fuzzy filter of A is proved. We discuss on some properties of prime 𝛽-fuzzy filters and some topological concepts on the collection of prime 𝛽-fuzzy filters of a Stone ADL. Further we show that the collection 𝓣 = {X^𝛽(λ) : λ is a fuzzy ideal of A} is a topology on 𝓕Spec_𝛽(A) where X^𝛽(λ) = {𝜇 ∈ 𝓕Spec_𝛽(A) : λ ⊈ 𝜇}.

Prime editors (PEs), which are CRISPR-Cas9 nickase (H840A)-reverse transcriptase fusion proteins programmed with prime editing guide RNAs (pegRNAs), can not only edit bases but also install transversions, insertions, or deletions without both donor DNA and double-strand breaks at the target DNA. As the demand for in-locus tagging is increasing, to reflect gene expression dynamics influenced by endogenous genomic contexts, we demonstrated that PEs can be used to introduce the hemagglutinin (HA) epitope tag to a target gene locus, enabling molecular and biochemical studies using in-locus tagged plants. To promote genome-wide in-locus tagging, we also implemented a publicly available database that designs pegRNAs for in-locus tagging of all the Arabidopsis genes.

In this paper, we consider the periodic boundary value problem with sign changing nonlinearity $$u^{{\prime}{\prime}{\prime}}+{\rho}^3u=f(t,u),\;t{\in}[0,2{\pi}]$$, subject to the boundary value conditions: $$u^{(i)}(0)=u^{(i)}(2{\pi}),\;i=0,1,2$$, where ${\rho}{\in}(o,{\frac{1}{\sqrt{3}}})$ is a positive constant and f(t, u) is a continuous function. Using Leggett-Williams fixed point theorem, we provide sufficient conditions for the existence of at least three positive solutions to the above boundary value problem. The interesting point is the nonlinear term f may change sign.

Plasma electrolytic oxidation of Ti-25Ta-xHf alloy in electrolyte containing Ca and P for dental implants was investigated using various experimental techniques. Ti-25Ta-xHf (x=0 and 15 wt.%) alloys were manufactured in an arc-melting vacuum furnace. Micropores were formed in PEO films on Ti-25Ta-xHf alloys in 0.15 M calcium acetate monohydrate + 0.02 M calcium glycerophosphate at 240 V, 270 V and 300 V for 3 min, respectively. The microstructure of Ti-25Ta-xHf alloys changed from (${\alpha}^{\prime}+{\alpha}^{{\prime}{\prime}}$) phase to (${\alpha}^{{\prime}{\prime}}+{\beta}$) phase by addition of Hf. As the applied potential increased, the number of pore and the area ratio of occupied by micro-pore decreased, whereas the pore size increased. The anatase phase increase as the applied potential increased. Also, the crystallite size of anatase-$TiO_2$ can be controlled by applied voltage.

The levator and $M{\ddot{u}}ller^{\prime}s$ muscle balanced tucking was performed to correction myogenic or aponeurotic blepharoptosis. Through the blepharoplasty incision, the upper half of tarsal plate was exposed and the orbital was opened to show the levator aponeurosis. the $M{\ddot{u}}ller^{\prime}s$ muscle dissected from the upper border of the tarsal plate and from the posteriorly located conjunctiva with sharp scissors. $M{\ddot{u}}ller^{\prime}s$ muscle was advanced about 3 mm to 8 mm on anterior surface of the tarsal plate and fixed approximately upper one third of the tarsal plate with three horizontal 6-0 Nylon mattress sutures. The amount of tucking of $M{\ddot{u}}ller^{\prime}s$ muscle was controlled by the location of the upper eyelid margin 2 mm below the upper limbus in primary gaze after first temporary fixations suture in the maximum superior point of the limbus. The amount of advancement of levator aponeurosis was controlled by the location of the upper eyelid margin 1 mm below the upper limbus in primary gaze after first temporary fixations suture in the maximum superior point of the limbus. And then levator aponeurosis was fixed with three horizontal 6-0 Nylon mattress on beside the point that was tucked $M{\ddot{u}}ller^{\prime}s$ muscle. We have been thirty cases with levator and $M{\ddot{u}}ller^{\prime}s$ muscle balanced tucking from January 2004 to Jun 2005. 3 cases were traumatic blepharoptosis with 3-5 mm ptosis and poor levator function. 27 cases were myogenic or aponeurotic blepharoptosis with 2-5 mm ptosis with and more than 4 mm of levator function. the age of the patients ranged from 6 to 78 years. The levator aponeurosis and $M{\ddot{u}}ller^{\prime}s$ muscle tucking procedure can reduce the amount of the levator and $M{\ddot{u}}ller^{\prime}s$ muscle resection, and improve discomfort when the patients open eyes.

In this paper, the classes K[A,B;C,D] and $C^{*}[A,B;C,D]$, $-1{\leq}B<A{\leq}1$; $-1{\leq}D<C{\leq}1$, are defined. The functions in these classes are close-to-convex. Using the properties of convolution operators, we deal with some problems for our classes.
