Under the banner "Toward Global Excellence in Teacher Education", Daegu National University of Education has strived for the single aim of excellence in pre-service and in-service for over fifty years. Specially the department of Mathematics education aims to develope students' mathematical power which is related to elementary school mathematical concepts & theories. However not a few of the students seem to have test-anxiety which is relate to teacher recruitment examination. In these view, we conclude that students must have been suffered from test anxiety. Consequently the results of the study are follow. $\cdot$ 2nd paper-pencil test of the elementary school teacher recruitment(2010) has been emphasized on statement of examinee logocal thought about all 10 subjects. $\cdot$ 3rd test of the elementary school teacher recruitment(2010) has been focused on only speaking english of examinee. Thus we conclude that these Recruitment Examination(2010) couldn't minimize the test anxiety of the students. Therefore next test of the elementary school Teacher Recruitment should contain on mathematical problem-solving in elementary school mathematics textbooks.

In this research we analyze Sun Wen's revolution education from the perspective of chinese nationalism. Sun Wen instigated the revolution of 1911 and established the first Chinese republican government; his "three people's principles" played an important role in modern Chinese politics. Sun Wen tried to remind the people and make them conscious of their sovereignty through education. Critical of then-the feudalistic education, Sun Wen incorporated Western-modern education in to his philosophy of education, which then provided theoretical framework of the Chinese revolution. At the core of it was the so-called "advanced education", based on Chinese nationalism, which encourages people to fight for independence as well as national prosperity and defense. The advanced education consisted of "proclaim education" and "constructive education". The proclaim education was a means of disseminating revolutionary ideas through an armed struggle against Ching dynasty; the goal was to encourage people to participate actively. Constructive education could be divided into two periods, namely the period of pre-republic of China and post-republic of China; the aim and process of education in the former period was to "wipe out" the Manchu people of the Qing dynasty while in the latter, to build a country predicated on Chinese nationalism, which was hostile towards the Qing dynasty and any other thoughts that do not accord with it. The main purpose of revolution education was to inspire Sinocentrism and to solidify the country of the Chinese people. Ultimately, Sun Wen's philosophy of revolution education provided foundation for the construction of a country of the Chinese people in which inspirational writing for the welfare of the people, loyalty to country, and public service are realized.

This purpose of this study was to explore the meaning and significance of experiences encountered by preservice teachers' during their observational practicum at day care centers. This study involved one cohort of 32 junior students who were majoring in early childhood education at a 4-year university. Data was analyzed using qualitative research methodology. The findings were as follows: 1) the meaning and significance of students'experiences related to observing children was to develop a trusting relationship with children and a cooperative relationship with teachers in an unfamiliar context. 2) the meaning and significance of students'experiences in observing children was to understand the children and their circumstance. 3) the meaning and significance of students'experience in observing children was to understand the importance of listening in child-teacher spoken interaction.

In this study we analyse the features of process of problem posing and explore the development of mathematical knowledge of primary preservice teachers as result of their engagement in problem posing activity. Data was collected through the preservice teachers' class discussions. Analysis of the data shows that preservice teachers developed their ability to understand connections among mathematical concepts.

There has been a long debate whether the Sun revolves the Earth or the Earth revolves the Sun. Also, students are very interested in the solar systems, which means the entire system of planets, satellites, minor planets, comets, and meteoroids that orbit the sun. However, students are not sure about them. New models which enhance teaming about them are strongly needed. This study is intended to develop the new models on the solar systems and to investigate how the preservice elementary teachers' concepts are affected by them. Subjects are 20 preservice elementary teachers, One instrument including 11 items is used. Data are collected before using the new models and after using them through the tests. As a result, learning through the new models has a positive effects on the preservice elementary teachers' concepts on the solar system.

The present study extends previous research in this area by investigating perceptions of change and reactions to reform efforts by pre-service and practicing secondary school mathematics teachers in the People's Republic of China (PRC) and the United States of America. Interviews were used to gather data about school experiences, teaching practices, and planned changes in mathematics programs. Analysis of the interview data supported earlier findings with respect to the well-planned nature of lessons by PRC teachers and the influence of mathematics contents and examination systems in the PRC. Findings also indicated a general agreement among teachers from both countries favoring less lecturing and more discussion and interactive activities. There were contrasts by nationality in descriptions of future teaching, ideal lessons, sources of teaching ideas, and preferences about school mathematics programs.

Mathematics Teaching Efficacy Beliefs Inventory (MTEBI) was translated into Korean and conducted among Korean pre-service mathematics teachers. The Korean-translated MTEBI consists of two subscales with 16 items. Personal Mathematics Teaching Efficacy (PMTE) subscale has 10 items and Mathematics Teaching Outcome Expectancy (MTOE) subscale has 6 items. The purpose of this study is to investigate the internal reliability and the construct validity of the Korean-translated MTEBI. The Cronbach alpha coefficient of Korean-translated MTEBI and its two subscales are respectively .87, .83, and .74 which imply that the instrument is reliable. The construct validity was achieved by performing factor analysis. Principal component solution with varimax rotation for the Korean-translated MTEBI was used in factor analysis and thus the best fit simple structure was obtained by two factors which correspond to the self-efficacy dimension and the outcome expectancy dimension of Bandura's self-efficacy theory.

이 연구의 목적은 3D 가상공간인 세컨드라이프에서 예비교사의 성공적인 수업실습을 위한 수업실습장을 개발하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서 수행한 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 수업실습 관련 이론 탐색 및 문헌 연구를 통해 세컨드라이프에서의 수업실습의 가능성을 탐색하였다. 둘째, 가상공간의 특성에 대한 문헌 연구를 통해 가상공간에서 예비교사의 수업실습이 성공적인 경험이 되기 위한 조건들을 탐색하였다. 셋째, 이 조건들로부터 세컨드라이프에서의 수업실습 절차를 개발하였다. 넷째, 세컨드라이프에서 수업실습을 위해 필요한 실습장을 설계하고 개발하였다. 마지막으로, 세컨드라이프내의 교실 안에서 예비교사의 수업실습을 수행하였다. 이 수행결과에 기반하여 실습장의 구성요소를 수정.보완하여 개발을 완료하였다.

The purpose of this study was to examine Korean preservice science teachers' understanding of the nature of science (NOS). Thirty-one Korean preservice teachers were given an open-ended questionnaire about their understanding of NOS. The Korean preservice teachers' responses were categorized according to pattern and theme. These findings will provide information to aid in the development of curriculum and instruction to improve preservice teachers' understanding of NOS. Compared to in previous studies, Korean preservice teachers demonstrated various philosophical stances that have been suggested by philosophers of science. In addition, they were more likely to connect science to human endeavors and social needs. These results were interpreted in relation to the influence of the science methods course, secondary science curriculum, and the traditional cultural view.

In this study we analyzed the foreign workers' needs for pre-training and post support, and researched possibility of e-Learning as the effective methodology for foreign workers' vocational development. A total of 1872 people were participated in this study. The first contents of the survey were satisfaction and difficulties focusing on pre-training. The second contents were willingness to participate in post-training program, the expected difficulties related to post support. The third contents were preferences and needs of e-Learning, The results revealed various issues of the pre-training and post support. Foreign workers showed high expectation and needs on post training program, but the problems such as lack of time and workplace leave were pointed out to the greatest difficulties. Considering their high preferences for e-Learning, a possibility and necessity of e-Learning which can resolve difficulties of the workplace leave and give the customized service at different conditions and levels of training was anticipated.
