  • Current Android smartphones include about 25 to 35 essential applications(unerasable) related to function and operation of the android smartphone itself and about 30 optional applications(removable) provided by carriers, Google and manufacturers. These applications were not able to be removed until the announcement of the smartphone applications pre-install guide from the government in January 2014, so there were memory limitations in installing new applications, causing consumer complaints by consuming data during the auto-update process of the pre-installed applications. After the announcement, we were able to delete optional applications but the complaints about the data consumption still did not disappear. Therefore, in this paper, we carried out the customer survey and analyzed the behavior information such as how carriers are operating pre-installed applications and what kind of applications customer prefers and how many applications customer wants to be pre-installed. And we proposed how to configure pre-install applications on smartphone for customer needs.

  • Module can be categorized as PAS(Pre-Assembled Steel structure), PAR(Pre-Assembled pipe Rack), PAU(Pre-Assembled Unit), VAU(Vendor Assembled Unit) and VPU(Vendor Package Unit). At the stage of design and fabrication of module, the condition of land and ocean transportation is considered and these conditions are reflected on the module division design. The control of the module's center of gravity is important to transport and install modules safely and the steel structure should have the strength enough to resist the sea acceleration force during the ocean transportation. The transportation condition and the installation method influence the size and weight of module. The size and weight of module are considered for the design of module division.

  • The tunnel type spillways is under construction to increasing water reservoir capacity in Dae-am dam. Cutting-slope adjacent to outlet of spillways had been originally designed to be 63 degrees and about 65m in height. Examination is carried out in preceding construction that it is caused to some problems possibility which of machine for slope cutting couldn't approach to the site, blasting for cutting slope might have negative influence on highway and roads nearby, and fine view along the Tae-hwa river would be eliminated. In order to establish stability of tunnel and more friendly natural environment that we are carry out detailed geological surface survey and analysis of slope stability. So, we are design and construct for tunnel excavation with possible method that it is keep up natural slope. The result of survey and analysis that natural slope was divided 3 zone(A, B, C zone). In A and B zone, in first removed floating rock, high tensile tension net is install that it prevent of release and falling of rock, in order to security during under working. In addition to, pre-stressed rock anchor is install purpose of security during tunnel excavation because of fault zone near vertical developed above excavation level. Zone C is relatively good condition of ground, design is only carry out random rock bolt. All zone are designed and constructed drainage hole for groundwater and surface water is easily drain. Desinged slpoe is harmony with near natural environment. Successfully, construction is completed.

  • To improve productivity of the LNG carriers which are growing bigger and bigger, many researches are being carried out by shipyards. In this regard, we reviewed possible problems which could occur during the erection of 216K LNG carrier's motor/compressor room with all outfittings pre-installed. As a first item, the weights of hull and outfittings were precisely estimated to make sure that the erection is carried out within yard's capability. In the next place, deflection and safety of the structure were verified by FEM analysis. As a result, the erection was finished successfully and yard's productivity was also improved. This review is a good example which shows the importance of through study and preparation for improving yard's productivity which is already reached its limit.

  • In this paper, we present AGE(Automatic Grid Environments), which is a middleware system in which Grid resources can automatically participate in a Grid environment. While other existing systems need the configuration of each Grid node to deploy a Grid environment, AGE offers automatic installation and execution of necessary middleware for participating in a Grid environment. And Grid applications in AGE do not need to be pre-installed and pre-configured. When an application is to be executed in participating Grid nodes, this system can download, install, and execute the application automatically. Therefore, AGE provides users with convenience such as deploying a Grid environment, executing the application, and releasing nodes or resources from the Grid environment automatically.

  • A core engine for pre-cooled turbojet engines is designed and its component performances are examined both by CFD analyses and experiments. The engine is designed for a flight demonstration of precooled turbojet engine cycle. The engine uses gas hydrogen as fuel. The external boundary including measurement devices is set within $23cm{\times}23cm$ of rectangular cross section, in order to install the engine downstream of the air intake. The rotation speed is 80000 rpm at design point. Mixed flow compressor is selected to attain high pressure ratio and small diameter by single stage. Reverse type main combustor is selected to reduce the engine diameter and the rotating shaft length. The temperature at main combustor is determined by the temperature limit of non-cooled turbine. High loading turbine is designed to attain high pressure ratio by single stage. The firing test of the core engine is conducted using components of small pre-cooled turbojet engine. Gas hydrogen is injected into the main burner and hot gas is generated to drive the turbine. Air flow rate of the compressor can be modulated by a variable geometry exhaust nozzle, which is connected downstream of the core engine. As a result, 75% rotation speed is attained without hazardous vibration and heat damage. Aerodynamic performances of both compressor and turbine are obtained and evaluated independently.

  • With concern for new renewable energy sources rising, the offshore wind turbine energy market is growing. In order to install offshore wind turbines safely in a harsh environment, jack-up rigs need to be used. Recently, a WTIV(Wind Turbine Installation Vessel), which has a self-propelling system, was developed to replace traditional jack-up rigs. Since the jack-up rig works at 60 meters of depth in offshore and the seafloor is composed mostly of soft clay and sand, it is necessary to conduct a stability examination for ground subsidence before using it. This study conducts an improved numerical analysis of the effect of jack-up rig loading on the soft ground by using FLAC3D considering consolidation theory. This includes analyzing the amount of subsidence when applying different cases of surchargings. It can be concluded that the mid-loading method has an advantage as regards clay layers and the pre-loading method has an advantage as regards sand layers.

  • NAC(Network Access Control) has been developed as a solution for the security of end-point user, to be a target computer of worm attack which does not use security patch of OS and install Anti-Virus, which spreads the viruses in the Intra-net. Currently the NAC products in market have a sufficient technology of pre-connect, but insufficient one of post-connect which detects the threats after the connect through regular authentication. Therefore NAC users have been suffered from Zero-day attacks and malware infection. In this paper, to solve the problems in the post-connect step we generate the normal behavior profiles using the traffic information of each host, host information through agent, information of open port and network configuration modification through network scanner addition to authentication of host and inspection of policy violation used before. Based on these we propose the system to detect the hosts infected malware.

  • People estimation is important to provide IoT services. Most people counting technologies use camera or sensor data. However, the conventional technologies have the disadvantages of invasion of privacy and the need to install extra infrastructure. This paper proposes a method for estimating the number of people using a Wi-Fi AP. We use channel state information of Wi-Fi and analyze that using deep learning technology. It can be achieved by pre-installed Wi-Fi infrastructure that reduce cost for people estimation and privacy infringement. The proposed algorithm uses a k-binding data for pre-processing process and a 1D-CNN learning model. Two APs were installed to analyze the estimation results of six people. The result of the accurate number estimation was 64.8%, but the result of classifying the number of people into classes showed a high result of 84.5%. This algorithm is expected to be applicable to estimate the density of people in a small space.
