Comparison of Restaurant Distribution Entrepreneurs' Pressure on Business Failure and Entrepreneurial Intention

  • Purpose - This study aims to exploratorily analyze relationship among pressure on business failure, social safety net perception, and entrepreneurial intention targeting potential business founders - pre-entrepreneurs and re-entrepreneurs. Research design, data, and methodology - Out of 450 collected surveys, 386 were used for analysis. Among these, 216 were from pre-entrepreneurs and 170 were from re-entrepreneurs. Frequency analysis, reliability and validity analysis, and regression analysis were performed. Results - In analysis of pre-entrepreneur and re-entrepreneur's pressure on business failure and social safety net perception, objective environment perception - a subfactor of social safety net perception - had statistically significant difference between the two potential entrepreneur groups. Conclusions - We categorized potential entrepreneurs into pre-entrepreneurs and re-entrepreneurs. Also, the current study suggests importance of social safety net to vitalize food service business startup by validifying its mediating effect between pressure on business failure and attitude towards restaurant business establishment. This research also established groundwork for future studies on ways to improve entrepreneurial intention or startup business sustainability by deducing social safety net perception difference between pre-entrepreneurs and re-entrepreneurs. This study was able to analyze relationship between those two groups in terms of entrepreneurial intention and startup business sustainability.

The Effect of Pre-entrepreneur's Individual Norm and Start-up Preparation Level on a Start-up Intention: Focusing on a Moderation Effect in Start-up Education (예비창업자의 개인적 규범과 창업준비 수준이 창업의지에 미치는 영향: 창업교육의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • This study examined which influence the pre-entrepreneurs' individual norm and start-up preparation level have upon a start-up intention, and analyzed a moderating effect in start-up education as for a relationship of individual norm and start-up preparation level with a start-up intention. For the purpose of offering useful data so that the pre-entrepreneurs of planning start-up can do more successful start-up through this, it carried out questionnaire from September 13, 2017 to November 14, 2017 targeting pre-entrepreneurs who received start-up education at an educational institution and a university that are located in K region. As a result, excluding 11 copies with a difficulty in the application to statistics among totally 211 copies, 200 copies were chosen as the final samples. Data were conducted reliability analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis by using SPSS 20.0. The results are as follows. First, the individual norm had a significant impact on a start-up intention. Second, the start-up preparation level had a significant effect on a start-up intention. Third, the start-up education had a moderating impact in the relationship between the individual norm and the start-up intention. Fourth, the start-up education had a moderating influence in the relationship between the start-up preparation level and the start-up intention. However, this study limited the sampling region to K area, thereby having a limitation in generalizing the findings all over the country. Moreover, there is a suggestion that a continuous research will need to be performed in terms of an influential factor in pre-entrepreneurs' start-up intention as well as in individual norm and start-up preparation level.

  • The government set up "national happiness, the hope of a new era of national vision under' job center of the creative economy" to achieve by national goals in the first and figure achieved through the establishment of new growth engines of the youth unemployment problem solve and national level there are a number of business start-up support. September 8, 2015 announced the Government's look at the '2016 Year of the budget, the government for new growth engines greatly promoted the venture entrepreneurship ecosystem revitalization and research and development (R & D) the business for enhanced performance in 2017. According to the direction of this study is to evaluate the current creative economy business incubator at the comparison whether the correct orientation mainly entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs preliminary recognition of student entrepreneurship ecosystem. Entrepreneurs 113 people in that way, 71 people pre-entrepreneurs, students 60, workers were founding agencies conducted an online survey of 47 people, 16 people Investors, 50 public and 11 additional persons including a total of 368 people. This study is in line with the orientation of these entrepreneurs to create economic status and recognition of the Republic of Korea entrepreneurship ecosystem, pre- entrepreneurs, students will examine the comparative analysis around. Analysis, social perception of entrepreneurship is somewhat higher than it was confirmed that the negative response of 32.2% to 36.3% of positive response. Social awareness of entrepreneurs showed a 2-fold higher response rate than the negative of response of 17.1% to 41.7% responding that positive recognition for the current start-up environment is bad, the response is good response to higher response rate than 23.5% to 41.1% It showed. The percentage of responses that better respect the entrepreneurship environment of the future Republic of Korea showed a higher response rate than the rate of 23% in response to deteriorate to 41.2%, with 52.9% awareness is the percentage that responded that the bad part about the ruthless Korea's entrepreneurship environment in China good part as response rate approximately three times greater than the 17.7% showed high response rates. Social awareness of entrepreneurs experience the presence of the founding start-up experience was confirmed that the more negative the number increases, the more the contrary the number of start-up experience increased awareness of the current and future environment of entrepreneurship was identified as a positive entrepreneurship environment.   • COVID-19 presented the world with a severe loss of life and impact, which has no geographical bounds or expected time to when its effects will subside. It has affected countries across the globe, disrupting economic levels and businesses in every industry while also altering individuals' everyday lives. The current research aims to examine the impact of coronavirus pandemic on entrepreneur's business activities and their perceptions on the difference in consumer behavior during this time. The findings reveal the pandemic negatively impacted business productivity and profits, forcing many businesses to physically close permanently. Surprisingly, female entrepreneurs do not perceive a change in consumer behavior compared to pre-COVID-19 times. Interestingly, the results indicate there is a negative impact on employees' efficiency to conduct work in which almost no research has conveyed such a finding. For this purpose, a survey was conducted with 445 responses from male and female entrepreneurs in the capital city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, using a simple random sample over the period of four months. Ultimately, this research will help entrepreneurs gain more knowledge and a deeper understanding of this new environment necessary to undertaking certain measures and adaptability in order to sustain their businesses during unprecedented times.

  • Due to current economic recessions, interest on entrepreneurship and/or business start-up is getting increased beyond sex and ages. Currently business start-up of university students and retirement to age limit in silver generation are getting increased day by day. As a part of preparation against those phenomenons, this investigation try to show the effect of characteristic factors of entrepreneurs on the will of business establishment In this study, in order to analyse effects on business establishment, survey was conducted for 328 pre and existed entrepreneurs. For collected datas, reliability analysis, factor analysis and correlation analysis were conducted via spss20 statistical program and lastly, through regression analysis, following conclusions were drawn. At first, the will of business establishment was effected by personal characteristic and environmental factor. in second, the mentoring of business establishment was effected by personal characteristic and environmental factor In particular, the will of business establishment was controlled by mentoring of business establishment which was effected by environmental factor.

  • This study is aim to explore the key variables that can improve the relationship between mentor-mentee fit and the relationship of mentor-mentee fit as a prerequisite in improving entrepreneurial intention. In addition, the mediating effect of entrepreneurship was verified in the process of mentee-mentor suitability inducing entrepreneurial will. To verify this, a survey was conducted on per-founders and early founders. The results of this study are as follows. First, in relation to the measures to improve the entrepreneurial will, mentor-mentee suitability was verified to have a positive effect on entrepreneurial will through entrepreneurship. Second, it was verified that mentor-mentee fit had a positive effect on the formation of entrepreneurship; third, entrepreneurship could have a direct effect on the intention of entrepreneurship. This study suggests that the more mentor-mentee fits entrepreneurs, the better the level of entrepreneurship. In addition, high level of entrepreneurship can play a role in further promoting the will to start a business.

  • This study is preliminary founding start-ups of restaurant entrepreneurs to study the characteristics of management in order to provide useful information was studied. Survey period is from 2013 March 15 to August 31. About the nature of the preparation and establishment founder findings restaurant entrepreneurs of Western Gyeongnam area were most often in the form of an independent establishment has been compiled, work experience and other industries operating experience was more than restaurant entrepreneurs of operating experience. Hypothesis Testing in accordance with results of this study are as follows. First, the 50 founders than 30 founders quickly when the customer complaint or that service, order food and non-food note is issued after obtaining the order or that provide food, no customer is often inconvenient check the sharing services, such as personnel activities were devoting a lot of effort. Second, the re-startups restaurant entrepreneurs than new startups restaurant entrepreneurs was founded after the founder of career-related customer complaints about food more active coping was, and re-startups restaurant entrepreneurs by the founder other than business founded by the founder of the food-related customer complaints more aggressively for coping, respectively. Third, restaurant entrepreneurs of the store operations management has integrity, words and actions match, such as the degree of belief in the promise of reliability and the possibility of failure, which means the degree of recognition and response efforts are having an impact deal. Fourth, restaurant of food service management services and after-sales service has impact on the founder of the self-efficacy and self-efficacy of pre-service features and reliability founder affecting. Fifth, the revenue of the restaurant for dealing with customer complaints management includes efforts are having an impact. Sixth, restaurant founder of reliability and customer care has influenced the self-efficacy. Seventh, management of operational management activities have a positive impact on business performance are.

  • According to attended about startup, there are many policy and program for activating of startup. Government's policy and program was scale up and arrangements for high quality. Nevertheless, policies and programs are concentrated on ante-startup stage. And experts have questioned that effect. So, there are needed a program focusing pre-startup and incubation stage. Accordingly, this study propose a kind of educative program named Pre-Startup Support Program. Through the program, pre-startup teams or entrepreneurs will inspect items, business skills and surroundings of market and competitors. And they have a time for complementation of deficiency. This study selects ETRI spin-off(research based spin-off born ETRI) by means of an object of study. ETRI's programs are started in 2011 with intent to incubate the entrepreneur through market research, mentoring, space of incubation and funds. This study analyze using the ISA(Important-Satisfaction Analyze) and the regression. We classify the pre-startup support program using the ISA. And then, we analyze the influence of satisfaction using the regression. On the basis of results, we identify the effectiveness of pre-startup support program and propose plans for reinforcement. In conclusion, adopting a pre-startup support program is expected to success of startup.

  • The purpose of this study is to reduce the barriers to entry into the government- supported startups and to contribute to the improvement of public policy services of the government. To do this, we identify the difficulties and problems that pre-founders are experiencing through startup cases of young entrepreneurs established in 2018, and provide practical help for pre-founders to experience their utility in preparation for government-supported startups, the need for public services to do so. And to propose a mentoring service to help the successful startup of policy-oriented user. This study is effective to adopt and apply the public service design process and methodology to the development of public policy service for the pre-founder who is preparing for government support centered startup. This study is meaningful that it presents one approach that can be considered when the government wants to develop and improve public policy services.

  • Nation-wide support is being strengthened to vitalize pre-entrepreneur and startup initiatives. However, it is found that they have been suffering from the lack of necessary information in preparation for the start-up operation. In order to support more proactive and robust start-up process in aspect of contents or service, it is necessary to carefully analyze their information needs and information seeking behaviors. Information seeking behavior analysis is a method for improving information services in accordance with the information needs of the information service users in libraries and information service institutes. This study analyzed information seeking behaviors of pre-entrepreneur and startup. Focus-group interview as the representative method of exploring information seeking behaviors was conducted. Content analysis was introduced to search the business-establishing process, information-seeking status, and utilization level of startup-related information resources and their perception. It is expected that contents and services for pre-entrepreneur and startup would be improved by reflecting their information seeking behaviors based on the results of this study.
