정량 주입(Pre-metered) 코팅 방식을 이용한 유기 트랜지스터 반도체 박막 제작 연구 (Organic Semiconducting Thin Films Fabricated by Using a Pre-metered Coating Method for Organic Thin Film Transistors)

  • We herein present results of flat and uniform polymer-blended small molecular semiconductor thin films. Which were produced for organic thin film transistors (OTFTs), using a simple pre-metered horizontal dipping process. The organic semiconducting thin films were composed of 6,13-bis(triisopropylsilylethynyl)-pentacene (TIPS-PEN) composite blended with a polymer binder of poly(${\alpha}$-methylstyrene) (PaMS). We show that the pre-metered horizontal-dip-coating(H-dip-coating) process allowed the critical control of the thickness of the blended TIPS-PEN:PaMs thin film. The fabricated OTFTs using the TIPS-PEN:PaMs films exhibited maximum field-effect mobility of $0.22\;cm^2\;V^{-1}\;s^{-1}$. These results demonstrated that H-dip-coated TIPS-PEN:PaMS films show considerable promise for the production of reliable, reproducible, and high-performance OTFTs.

  • 자동차용 도장시스템으로 새롭게 대두되고 있는 roll coating process는 비친환경적이면서도 생산성이 떨어지는 기존의 습식도장공정을 완전 대체할 수 있는 기술로 알려져 있다. Pre-painted 강판 시스템에서 도막 유연성 및 강도 등의 구현을 위하여 경화거동뿐만 아니라 내식성 및 성형가공성, 유변학적 거동 등의 평가가 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 pre-painted system에 적용하기 위하여 polyester 수지를 수산화기 및 분자량 변성을 통하여 합성한 후, 경화거동 및 딥드로잉, 인장력, 유변특성 등을 평가하였다. 40 (mg KOH-/mol)정도의 수산화기를 갖는 N-0375-40 system이 유연성 및 도막강도, 경화거동 등의 가장 우수한 물성을 나타내었다.

  • NiO-YSZ anode-supported single cell was prepared by spin-coating YSZ and LSM slurries as electrolyte and cathode, respectively. Dense YSZ electrolyte film was successfully prepared on the porous NiO-YSZ anode substrate by tuning pre-sintering temperature of NiO-YSZ and co-firing temperature. The thickness of YSZ film was controlled by the solid content of slurry and coating cycles. The experimental conditions affecting on the thickness of YSZ film was discussed. Single cells with the active electrode area ${\sim}0.8\;cm^2$ were prepared by spin-coating the cathode layers of LSM-YSZ mixture and LSM consequently as well. The effects of the pre-sintering temperature and thus the microstructure of NiO-YSZ substrate on the current-voltage characteristics of co-fired cell were investigated.

Enhancing Yield and Nutritive Value of Forage for Livestock Feeding Through Corn Soybean Intercropping Strategy with Several Pre-sowing Soybean Seed Coatings

  • In attempt to avoid crop damage through wild bird's picking, this study was designed with aim to evaluate several pre-sowing soybean seed coatings for optimum yield in corn-soybean mixed forage. It was investigated under four cropping treatments, viz. 1) corn sole, 2) corn mixed with soybean without any coating, 3) corn with iron coated soybean and 4) corn with thiram coated soybean. Each treatment had three replicates and corn sole was control treatment. Pioneer (P1184) and crossbred ($PI483463{\times}Hutcheson$) seeds were used for corn and soybean, respectively. The trial was conducted under randomized block design from $5^{th}$ June to $23^{rd}$ September, 2015. Data were an alyzed through ANOVA technique using SAS9.1.3 software. Results depicted that survivability of soybean against wild birds damage was found better (p<0.05) in thiram coating which was higher than iron coating and control treatment but later on thiram coating had adverse effects on subsequent growth of soybean plants. Corn stalk height was decreased (p<0.05) in thiram coating, whereas corn ear height was reduced in iron coating treatment. Iron coating enhanced (p<0.05) height of soybean plant (p<0.05) better than that of thiram coating. Soybean seed coatings didn't influence dry matter yield and nutritive value in terms of total digestible nutrients yield in corn soybean mixed forage. Conclusively, although presowing thiram coating enhanced survivability of soybean plants against wild bird damage but had adverse effects on its subsequent growth. However, soybean seed coatings didn't influence yield and nutritive value of corn soybean intercropping forage.

자외선 경화에 의한 PET 니트직물의 편면 발수발유 가공 (Preferential face coating of knitted PET fabrics via UV curing for water- and oil-repellent finish)

  • Conventional pad- dry-cure(thermo-fixation) process usually produces functional performance on both sides of a fabric. UV curing technique was applied to impart water- and oil-repellent finish effective only on the face of a PET knitted fabric. The preferential one-side coating, by virtue of the limited penetration of UV light, was achieved by W curing after padding of a fluorocarbon agent without special coating or printing equipments. The difference in the functional property of face and back sides was examined by measuring water and oil repellency at each side of the treated fabric. The influence of pre/post-irradiation dose and agent concentration on the performance of the finished fabrics were investigated. While increase in both resin concentration and post-irradiation did not have significant effect on the finish, UV pre-irradiation of PET fabrics caused remarkable influence presumably due to appropriate surface modification of PET fabrics required for facile wetting of the resin. The dimensional stability and color change of the UV cured fabrics measured by FAST and reflectance spectrophotometry showed significantly decreased color difference and increased percent extension compared with the samples pre-irradiated without agent application.

유-무기 하이브리드 화합물과 Particle-Binder 공정을 이용한 소수성 코팅막 제조 (Preparation of Hydrophobic Coating Layers Using Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Compounds Through Particle-to-Binder Process)

  • Sol-Gel 공정을 통해서 제조되는 유-무기 하이브리드 화합물들은 방청 코팅, 방빙 코팅(Anticing), 자가 세정 코팅, 반사 방지 코팅 등과 같은 기능성 코팅 재료로 널리 사용되어져 왔다. 특히 소수성 코팅 표면을 제조하기 위해서는 코팅표면의 표면에너지가 낮고 코팅 표면의 조도를 제어가 요구된다. 표면에너지와 표면 조도를 조절하는 전형적인 공정은 in-situ fabrication 공정, 'Pre-fluorinating/Post-roughening', 'Pre-roughening/ Post-fluorinating이다. 본 연구에서는 in-situ fabrication 공정인 Particle-Binder 공정을 이용해서 소수성 코팅표면을 제조하였다. 3관능기 유기실란화합물과 불소 함유 유기실란 화합물과의 가수분해 및 축합반응을 통해 제조된 불소함유 유-무기 하이브리드를 바인더로 사용하여서 무기물 나노입자와 혼합하여 소수성 코팅액을 제조하고 유리 기재 위에 스핀코팅 후 열건조하여서 코팅막을 제조하였다. 바인더인 유-무기 하이브리드 화합물의 불소 함유 실란화합물의 첨가량, 첨가순서, 무기물 나노입자 첨가량에 따른 코팅막의 물성 변화를 조사하였다. 분석결과 불소 함량이 10 wt%인 유-무기 하이브리드 화합물(GPTi-HF10)을 바인더로 사용하여서 제조된 코팅막이 가장 소수성이 우수하였으며 수접촉각은 (107.52 ± 1.6°), 이 바인더와 무기물 나노입자의 무게비가 1:3인 경우(GPTi-HF10-MS 3.0)에 가장 높은 수접촉각(130.84±1.99°)을 나타내었다.

Pigment particle size distribution이 백판지 품질에 미치는 영향

  • 지난 수년간 유럽을 중심으로 Carbonate의 PSD (Particle Size Distribution)가 도공지 의 백색도, 불투명도, Coverage등에 미치는 영향에 대하여 많은 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 현재 국내의 Coating Pigment System 역시 Carbonate 위주로 구성되어 있으나, 입자 분포에 따른 실증적 연구가 선진국에 비하여 부족한 상태이다. 본 연구는 최근 유럽에서 사용 중인 Narrow PSD Carbonate가 도공지 품질에 미치는 영향을 검토한 것으로서, 특히 Multiple Coating에서의 도공층 구조변화와 그에 따른 백지물성 및 인쇄적성의 변화를 연구한 것이다. 실험의 Case는 Broad PSD CaC03와 Narrow PSD CaC03를 비 교하였 다 .. Color F Formulation은 Pre Color에서 #1 Clay 30 p따t와 각각 CaC03 70 p따t를 사용하였다. 그리고 바인더와 첨가제는 동일하게 사용하였다 .. Top color Formulation 또한 동일하 게 사용하였다. 코팅방식은 speed 450rrνmin, pre rod coating, top blade coating 방식 으로 CLC (Cy lindrical Laboratory Coater)를 사용하여 코팅하였다. 백지품질은 백색도, 평활도 ,광택도, 거칠음도, Bum Out Test와 Coverage( SEM 사 진 Z -direction) 등을 측정하였다. 인쇄품질은 인쇄 광택도, 인쇄 Picking strength와 2 도 인쇄 농도를 측정하였다. 백색도는 Narrow PSD CaC03를 사용한 것이 Broad PSD CaC03를 사용한 것 대비 약1% 우수하였다. 이것은 Narrow PSD CaC03를 사용한 것이 filter cake이 많이 open 되 어 있어 dewatering이 빠르고, Wet void volume이 증가되 어 부동화점 의 농도가 낮 아져 원지 층으로 침 투되 는 pigment가 작고 표층에 잔류하는 pigment와 void volume의 증가로 인해 기공층이 증가한 것으로 판단된다. 그리고, 백지광택도, 거칠음도 등 또한 Narrow PSD CaC03를 사용한 것이 우수하였 다. 이는 Pre color에서 coverage의 개선으로 top color층의 도공량 uniformity가 개선 된 이유라고 생각한다. 그러나 인쇄품질은 백지와 비교하여 차이가 없었다. 이것은 top 칼라 Formulation이 동일하고, 인쇄시 잉크흡수 거동은 top color 층에 주로 영향을 받기 때문이라고 판단 된다. 향후에는 인쇄품질의 향상을 위하여 Case 2의 CaC03 100% 사용가능성 및 Pre Color 는 Case 2로 고정하고, Top칼라를 변경하는 방법을 또한 생각할 필요가 있다고 판단된다.

수종의 구취처치법의 구치감소효과에 관한 연구 (Effect of Tongue Scraping, ZnCl2 Mouth Rinse, and Periodontal Treatment on the Reduction of Oral Malodor)

  • This study was performed to investigate the effect of three modalities commonly used for reduction of oral malodor and to review the contributing factors for halitosis. For this study, 45 subjects of good general health in their third decades were selected, and they were divided into three groups by each modality, that is, tongue scraping, $ZnCl_2$ mouth rinse, and periodontal treatment. Subjective sense of halitosis, diets, Oral hygiene index based on tooth brushing and tongue brushing habit, resting salivary flow rate, gingival index, degree of tongue coating were recored in the Halito-Chart designed by the author. Oral malodor converted from volatile sulfur compound was measured by the Halimeter$^{(R)}$(Interscan Co., USA), and the correlation between the oral factors and pre-treatment halimeter score were analysed. Data obtained were analysed by the SPSS windows program and the results of this study were as follows : 1. There were no significant correlation between oral factors such as oral hygiene index, salivary flow rate, gingival index, degree of tongue coating and pre-treatment halimeter score. 2. Difference between pre- and post-treatment halimeter score by the three modalities were significant, but correlation between pre- and post-treatment score within group was most significant in the periodontal treatment group followed by the tongue scraping group and lowest in the $ZnCl_2$ mouth rinse group. 3. Reduction of halimeter score was significant only in subjects with relatively more tongue coating in the tongue scraping group, but in the $ZnCl_2$ mouth rinse group and in the periodontal treatment group, the modality applied to each group had same significant effects without regard to the degree of oral hygiene index or gingival index. 4. Men had more tongue coating than women, and reduction of halimeter score was significant in men, but not in women.

Effect of Hydrophobic Coating on Silica for Adsorption and Desorption of Chemical Warfare Agent Simulants Under Humid Condition

  • We prepared hydrophobic PDMS-coated porous silica as pre-concentration adsorbent for chemical warfare agents (CWAs). Since CWAs can be harmful to human even with a small amount, detecting low-concentration CWAs has been attracting attention in defense development. Porous silica is one of the promising candidates for CWAs pre-concentration adsorbent since it is thermally stable and its surface area is sufficiently high. A drawback of silica is that adsorption of CWAs can be significantly reduced due to competitive adsorption with water molecule in air since silica is quite hydrophilic. In order to solve this problem, hydrophobic polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) thin film was deposited on silica. Adsorption and desorption of chemical warfare agent (CWA) simulants (Dimethylmethylphosphonate, DMMP and Dipropylene Glycol Methyl Ether, DPGEM) on bare and PDMS-coated silica were studied using temperature programed desorption (TPD) with and without co-exposing of water vapor. Without exposure of water vapor, desorbed amount of DMMP from PDMS-coated silica was twice larger than that from bare silica. When the samples were exposed to DMMP and water vapor at the same time, no DMMP was desorbed from bare silica due to competitive adsorption with water. On the other hand, desorbed DMMP was detected from PDMS-coated silica with reduced amount compared to that from the sample without water vapor exposure. Adsorption and desorption of DPGME with and without water vapor exposing was also investigated. In case of bare silica, all the adsorbed DPGME was decomposed during the heating process whereas molecular DPGME was observed on PDMS-coated silica. In summary, we showed that hydrophobic PDMS-coating can enhance the adsorption selectivity toward DMMP under humid condition and PDMS-coating also can have positive effect on molecular desorption of DPGME. Therefore we propose PDMS-coated silica could be an adequate adsorbent for CWAs pre-concentration under practical condition.

열충격에 의한 세라믹코팅재의 파괴거동 (Fracture Behavior of Ceramic Coatings Subjected to Thermal Shock)

  • An experimental study was conducted to develop and understanding of fracture behavior of ceramic thermal barrier coating when subjected to a thermal shock loading. The thermal loading was applied using a 1.5kW $CO_2$ laser. In the experiments, beam-shaped specimens were subjected to a high heat flux for 4sec and cooling of 7sec in air. The interface crack length was increased as the crack density, the surface pre-crack legth and the coating thickness were increased. The center surface crack length was increased as the maximum surface temperature got higher and the surface pre-crack length for shorter.
