Development of Pulley Type Running Board for Wiring Work of Overhead Transmission Line (송전선로 가선공사용 활차형 런닝보드 개발)

  • There is a method for stringing conductors which is connected to a wire over transmission towers by helicopter or human power and the wire and conductors are pulled by an engine puller. The length of one string section is usually 4-6 km and 2-4 conductors are strung at the same time with a single wire. A tensioner is used to maintain the sag and a running board is installed between the wire and conductors to prevent the rotation of conductors but the variance in topology, the line angle and unequal wiring tension between conductors causes conductor rotation damage or the conductor connection point to breakaway when the pulley is passed. This paper presents a method to prevent conductor rotation during stringing by inserting a pulley in the running board and equally maintaining conductor tension by sling wire after developing and testing.

Optical Fiber Atmospheric Ozone Monitor (광섬유 대기오존 모니터)

  • A high accuracy ozone monitor using UV absorption method was developed for ambient ozone monitoring. The system was mainly composed of a high power pulsed xenon lamp as UV source, an optical spectrometer with a high sensitivity linear CCD array as UV detector and signal processing unit. The optical signal from the CCD array that provides unusually high response and excellent optical resolution for ozone concentration was converted to digital signal and the digital signal was displayed on screen using PC interface. The optical signal was propagated using optic fiber to reduce optical loss to increase the accuracy of the measuring system. This paper has been studied a interworking signalling protocol between two hybrid networks by analyzing Satellite B-ISDN architecture, DSS2 Layer 3 Signalling protocol, B-ISUP protocol, S-BISUP protocol stack and so on. Also in the paper, messages and primitives have been defined for B-ISDN's Connection Type, Ownership and each protocol in order to connect point-to-multipoint. The ozone sensing properties of the CCD ozone monitor was compared with those of the photo multiplier ozone monitor.

  • This paper concerns the problem of global robust stability of a time-delay discontinuous system with a positive-defined connection matrix under polytopic-type uncertainty. In order to give the stability condition, we firstly address the existence of solution and equilibrium point based on the properties of M-matrix, Lyapunov-like approach and the theories of differential equations with discontinuous right-hand side as introduced by Filippov. Second, we give the delay-independent and delay-dependent stability condition in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), and based on Lyapunov function and the properties of the convex sets. One numerical example demonstrate the validity of the proposed criteria.

  • This paper deals with the SCR thyristor switching characteristics of a 3-phase voltage disturbance generator. The series transformers of the generator require bypass SCR thyristors to provide the source voltage to the output terminal in normal operating mode. The SCR thyristor switching characteristics is quite different according to the connection point to the series transformer. The switching characteristics is analysed and verified through simulation results.

  • One of frequent phenomena in the contemporary cultural field is the alternative or accompanying interweaving phenomena which happens in the relative connection of A, B, and C. The power of interweaving mixture is one of energies which unify the contemporary cultural phenomena, and it appears as a major phenomena in the recent popular digital architecture. In this study, the mixture, shape, and contents in the contemporary space design is analyzed as a point of view of Post-Structuralism. Namely, the digital part and non-digital part of alternative and circulating existence in the space are classified and the interweaving phenomena in the contemporary space design are proved. It is studied for digital part and physical space to conjunct the hole space and smooth space of Deleuze as part of interweaving phenomena. It is clear that the compatible concept of the hole space and smooth space is crossed complexly or is coexisting in circulating and extending, and is showed as interweaving phenomena in one space.

  • This study intend to make easy modification, even if there is a new job or structure change, by modularizing program and computerize and automation of production control management used in CIM. Under the condition where manager control production on the job-site, for increasing connection with other operation and management on the computer by monitoring center computer, Recognizing information by computer is needed, it is possible by converting transaction. So production increase and quality improvement are possible by diminishing manager's and producer's work with the result of the study combining POP and CIM, after that, in e-business and m-business period that every enterprise must pass, customer satisfaction and sales promotion are possible with employee's computerizing minds. These study result also can knowledge process condition with theoretical class and have a power in finding a solution with foundation of theoretical knowledge.

  • Capacitor has been used principally for the power factor compensation long ago. However now it does as passive filter to reduce harmonics of nonlinear load with reactor. Most of the customer's low-voltage feeder has been designed with approximately balanced and connected at the 3 phase four wire system. But voltage and current unbalance is appeared by the mixing operation of single or three phase load etc. The addition of reactor at the condenser may rise its terminal voltage. Voltage and current values above rating can act on electrical stress on the condenser. In this paper, we calculated and measured that voltage, current and capacity of condenser are changed under the voltage balance. We conclude that magnitude and deviation of phase voltage act on major point of electrical stress.

  • Malfunction of Klippon relay in Cheju-Haenam HVDC system has been caused by the inflow of high voltage arc. In this paper, we have studied on the theoretical examination and data analysis of Klippon relay, and the countermeasures against the problems were suggested according to their causes. Grounding problem in Klippon relay is removed by one-point earth connection and by modification of grounding circuit. The effects of over current surge was removed by attaching blocking diodes by series In Klippon relay to remove surge input in Klippon relay's mercury contact. The problem of Induced overvoltage by 86re1ay excitation coil, was removed by attaching Free-wheeling diode in parallel with the excitation coil of Lock-out relay.

  • This paper presents the two combination methods for leakage current reduction in photovoltaic system PCS. The leakage current in the photovoltaic system generated from the parasitic capacitance existing between the photovoltaic system and ground relevance to common mode voltage caused by PWM switching. Firstly, Leakage current reduced by a PWM method using two carriers with 180-degree phase different. Secondly, the leakage current is more reduced by connecting LCL filter to the mid-point of DC link. This combining method is revealed in PSIM simulation with 1 uF parasitic capacitance.
