  • Power MOSFET(metal oxide silicon field effect transistor) operate voltage-driven devices, design to control the large power switching device for power supply, converter, motor control, etc. But on-resistance characteristics depending on the increasing breakdown voltage spikes is a problem. So 600 V planar power MOSFET compare to 1/3 low on-resistance characteristics of super junction MOSFET structure. In this paper design to 600 V planar MOSFET and super junction MOSFET, then improvement of comparative analysis breakdown voltage and resistance characteristics. As a result, super junction MOSFET improve on about 40% on-state voltage drop performance than planar MOSFET.

  • This paper aims at investigating the characterization and author's consciousness of Okhwangibong written in about 18th century in Korea. Okhwangibong deals with the historical event in the Later Han of ancient China, that is to say the Empress Gwak's banishment and the royal harem Eum's accession to the queen consort. The author of this work created the focal characters freshly. Particularly Gwak is characterized as the vivid woman who desires the Emperor Kwangmu's love, reproaches his negative attitude toward her wants, and feels pains by reason of his affection to Eum. The author intended to justify Eum's accession to the queen consort through emphasizing Providence and her virtue. But the author's intention could not be realized fully. Because what is called Providence was lost persuasive power, and Gwak was characterized very affirmatively. Therefore it can be said that this work represents Gwak's trials and pains caused by Kwangmu. And the discord of the author's intent and the real meaning of the work occurred the dispute about affection and faithfulness between man and wife in following novels. Consequently the historical meaning of Okhwangibong in Korean Novel can be founded in successful characterization and occurring the dispute in following novels.

  • Purpose: In this paper, we propose a design technique for the safety characterization grounding in the construction of the photovoltaic power generation complex which can be useful and useful as an alternative power energy source in our society. In other words, we will introduce the application of safety grounding for each application, which can improve and optimize the reliability of the internal grid from the cell module to the electric room in the photovoltaic power generation complex. Method: We analyze the earth resistivity of the soil in the solar power plant and use the computer program (CDEGS) to analyze the contact voltage and stratospheric voltage causing the electric shock, and propose the calculation and calculation method of the safety ground. In addition, we will discuss the importance of semi-permanent ground electrode selection in consideration of soil environment. Results: We could obtain the maximum and minimum value of ground resistivity for each of the three areas of the data measured by the Wenner 4 - electrode method. The measured data was substituted into the basic equation and calculated with a MATLAB computer program. That is, it can be determined that the thickness of the minimum resistance value is the most favorable soil environment for installing the ground electrode. Conclusion: Through this study, we propose a grounding system design method that can suppress the potential rise on the ground surface in the inner grid of solar power plant according to each case. However, the development of smart devices capable of accumulating big data and a monitoring system capable of real-time monitoring of seismic changes in earth resistances and grounding systems should be further studied.

  • In this study we attempted to screen bacteria and fungi that generate electricity while treating wastewater using optimized double-chamber microbial fuel cell (MFC) system parameters. Optimization was carried out for five best exoelectrogenic isolates (two bacteria and three fungi) at pH values of 6.0, 7.5, 8.5, and 9.5, and temperatures of 30, 35, 40, and 45℃; the generated power densities were measured using a digital multimeter (DT9205A). The isolates were identified using molecular characterization, followed by the phylogenetic analysis of isolates with known exoelectrogenic microorganisms. The bacterium, Proteus species, N6 (KX548358.1) and fungus, Candida parapsilosis, S10 (KX548360) produced the highest power densities of 1.59 and 1.55 W/m2 (at a pH of 8.5 and temperatures of 35 and 40℃) within 24 h, respectively. Other fungi-Clavispora lusitaniae, S9 (KX548359.1) at 40℃, Clavispora lusitaniae, S14 (KX548361.1) at 35℃-and bacterium-Providencia species, N4 (KX548357.1) at 40℃-produced power densities of 1.51, 1.46, and 1.44 W/m2, respectively within 24 h. The MFCs achieved higher power densities at a pH of 8.5, temperature of 40℃ within 24 h. The bacterial isolates have a close evolutionary relationship with other known exoelectrogenic microorganisms. These findings helped us determine the optimal pH, temperature, evolutionary relationship, and exoelectrogenic fungal species other than bacteria that enhance MFC performance.

  • As the development of total management systems for sites along with site environmental information is becoming standard, the system known as the Site Information and Total Environmental database management System (SITES) has been developed over the last two years. The first result was a database management system for storing data obtained from facilities, and a site characterization in addition to an environmental assessment of a site. The SITES database is designed to be effective and practical for use with facility management and safety assessment in relation to Geographic Information Systems. SITES is a total management program, which includes its database, its data analysis system required for site characterization, a safety assessment modeling system and an environment monitoring system. It can contribute to the institutional management of the facility and to its safety reassessment. SITES is composed of two main modules: the SITES Database module (SDM) and the Monitoring & Assessment (M&A) module [1]. The M&A module is subdivided into two sub-modules: the Safety Assessment System (SAS) and the Site Environmental Monitoring System (SEMS). SAS controls the data (input and output) from the SITES DB for the site safety assessment, whereas SEMS controls the data obtained from the records of the measuring sensors and facilities. The on-line site and environmental monitoring data is managed in SEMS. The present paper introduces the procedure and function of the M&A modules.

  • Most of irradiated graphite that should be disposed comes from moderators and reflectors of nuclear power plants. The quantity of irradiated graphite could be higher in the future if high-temperature reactors (HTRs) will be deployed. In this case noteworthy quantities of fuel pebbles containing semi-graphitic carbonaceous material should be added to the already existing 250,000 tons of irradiated graphite. Industry graphite is largely used in industrial applications for its high thermal and electrical conductivity and thermal and chemical resistance, making it a valuable material. Irradiated graphite constitutes a waste management challenge owing to the presence of long-lived radionuclides, such as 14C and 36Cl. In the ENEA Nuclear Material Characterization Laboratory it has been successfully designed a procedure based on the exfoliation process organic solvent assisted, with the purpose of investigate the possibility of achieving graphite significantly less toxic that could be recycled for other purpose [1]. The objective of this paper is to evaluate the possibility of the scalability from laboratory to industrial dimensions of the exfoliation process and provide the prototype of a chemical plant for the treatment of irradiated graphite.

  • Recently, the unipolar gate power source is preferred in inverter system because of cost reduction reason. In this case, designer uses 0V source for turning-off the switching devices instead of negative voltage at Vee source. If the gate driver circuit has some stray inductance, the gate voltage would happen a surge voltage. This paper analyzes that of stray inductance effect during the switching behavior in the circuit and the proposed solutions were verified by pulse test.

  • Small molecule OLED devices were fabricated and the electro-optical characteristics were analyzed. The luminance and color coordinate of the fabricated OLED device were $24,390cd/m^2$ and (x=0.15, y=0.22), respectively. Current efficiency of 6.8 cd/A and power efficiency of 2.4 lm/W were also obtained under DC operating condition. Transient light intensity was also measured by using Si photodiode.
