원심펌프에서 회전수 및 유량변화가 운전특성에 미치는 영향 (A Study on the Effects of Rotation Rate and Flow Rate on the Operating Characteristics in Centrifugal Pump)

  • 본 논문은 규정 유량, 양정, 회전수 및 비속도가 각각 0.7 ㎥/min, 8 m, 1750 rpm, 182 m, ㎥/min, rpm인 원심펌프의 운전시 펌프의 회전수와 유량의 변화가 펌프의 운전특성에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 실험에 사용된 펌프는 안내깃이 없고 외주에 바로 접하여 와류실이 있는 볼류트 펌프를 회전수 1350 rpm에서 1750 rpm까지 100 rpm씩의 회전수 변화 5단계에 따른 H-Q특성, L-Q특성, 𝜂-Q특성 등의 관계와 무차원 성능 특성인 양정계수, 동력계수, 효율 등의 특성을 실험을 통하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 회전수의 증가에 따라 펌프 성능의 변화정도를 추정할 수 있고, 펌프의 최대효율은 1450 rpm일 때 유량 0.165 ㎥/min, 양정 4.73 m에서 약 52%, 최대 회전수인 1750 rpm일 때 유량 0.183 ㎥/min, 양정 6.72 m에서 약 50%의 효율이 나타난다. 또한 양정 대 유량의 성능 특성 곡선상에서 등효율 곡선은 펌프의 상사법칙에 따른 원점을 지나는 2차식의 곡선으로 나타나지 않고 타원형으로 변형되어 나타난다. 마지막으로 유량계수가 증가함에 따라 동력계수는 증가하고 양정계수는 감소하며, 유량계수가 0.08일 때 최대효율 52% 되는 것을 통해 유량변화가 운전특성에 미치는 영향을 알 수 있다.

양력형 디스크 풍력 발전기의 유동 및 소음 해석 (Noise and flow analysis of lift-type disk wind power System)

  • In this study, we investigate the flow characteristics of lift-type disk which behaves the up-down motion using the large eddy simulation (LES) and immersed boundary method (IBM). Also, we perform the noise analysis using pressure field at 1.35 m distance and reveal the cause of noise to observe the vortical structure analysis of flow result. It is observed that vortical structure and wind shear were generated at leading edge and tower with high velocity deficit and flow separation. High magnitude of flow noise was observed in low frequency range which is from 30 Hz to 60 Hz. It was observed that vortical structure at leading edge was generated in frequency range from 33.3 Hz to 41.6 Hz. Temporal characteristic in vortical structure at leading edge was similar to noise characteristics, having the similar frequency ranges.

램프 틸트에 의한 언로드 특성 분석 (Analysis of Unload Characteristics by Ramp Tilt)

  • Most hard disk drives uses load/unload technology because of benefits as like an increased areal density, a reduced power consumption and an improved shock resistance. However, ramp tilt induced by ramp manufacture and assembly causes mechanical problems such as unload fail in case of exceeding ramp tolerance. In this paper, we focus on experimental analysis for unloading characteristics affected by ramp tilt. We repeatedly perform load/unload test as 500,000 cycles for original model and ramp tilt model. This paper shows that it is possible to analyze unload characteristics through measuring scratch and wear of suspension lift-tab, ramp, suspension dimple-flexure and disk. We also identify structural relation between suspension lift-tab and ramp through scratch and wear of suspension lift-tab and ramp. As the result of measurement and analysis, we can investigate decrease of unloading performance in ramp tilt model.

Planar Type Flexible Piezoelectric Thin Film Energy Harvester Using Laser Lift-off

  • The planar type flexible piezoelectric energy harvesters (PEH) based on PbZr0.52Ti0.48O3 (PZT) thin films on the flexible substrates are demonstrated to convert mechanical energy to electrical energy. The planar type energy harvesters have been realized, which have an electrode pair on the PZT thin films. The PZT thin films were deposited on double side polished sapphire substrates using conventional RF-magnetron sputtering. The PZT thin films on the sapphire substrates were transferred by PDMS stamp with laser lift-off (LLO) process. KrF excimer laser (wavelength: 248nm) were used for the LLO process. The PDMS stamp was attached to the top of the PZT thin films and the excimer laser induced onto back side of the sapphire substrate to detach the thin films. The detached thin films on the PDMS stamp transferred to adhesive layer coated on the flexible polyimide substrate. Structural properties of the PZT thin films were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). To measure piezoelectric power generation characteristics, Au/Cr inter digital electrode (IDE) was formed on the PZT thin films using the e-beam evaporation. The ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties were measured by a ferroelectric test system (Precision Premier-II) and piezoelectric force microscopy (PFM), respectively. The output signals of the flexible PEHs were evaluated by electrometer (6517A, Keithley). In the result, the transferred PZT thin films showed the ferroelectric and piezoelectric characteristics without electrical degradation and the fabricated flexible PEHs generated an AC-type output power electrical energy during periodically bending and releasing motion. We expect that the flexible PEHs based on laser transferred PZT thin film is able to be applied on self-powered electronic devices in wireless sensor networks technologies. Also, it has a lot of potential for high performance flexible piezoelectric energy harvester.

Comparison of Test Standards for the Performance and Safety of Agricultural Tractors: A Review

  • Purpose: The objective of this paper was to compare test standards regarding the performance and safety of agricultural tractors to identify the differences in test conditions, measurement tolerances, and test procedures. Based on the comparison, some recommendations were proposed for possible revisions or improvements to current tractor test standards. Methods: The test standards and codes of major standards development organizations (SDOs), such as the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE), EC type approval, and the board of actions of the Nebraska Tractor Test Laboratories (NTTL), were selected and analyzed. Comparison of the test standards: The ISO provides references for fuel and lubricants for tractor tests, and the OECD provides additional measurements for calculating fuel consumption characteristics during the power take-off (PTO) tests. The ISO, EC type approval, and the ASABE provide PTO protective device and the safety requirements. During drawbar power tests, seven transmission ratios are selected for fully automatic transmissions, according to the OECD. In case of hydraulic lift tests, ISO 789-2 and OECD Code 2 advise the use of a static lift force, while SAE J283 advises the use of additional dynamic lift capacity tests for a better representation of in-field operations. The OECD, the ISO, and EC type approval determine the seat index point (SIP), whereas the ASABE determines the seat reference point (SRP) for roll-over protective structure (ROPS) tests. Diversified measurement tolerances were among the braking performance test standards. The European Union (EU) has developed daily limits for vibration exposures with adaptations from ISO 2631-1. Electromagnetic compatibility evaluations are emerging of high-efficiency tractors due to the long-term conformance to electromagnetic emissions and interferences. Comparisons of tractor test standards discussed in this paper are expected to provide useful information for tractor manufacturers and standards development personnel to improve the performance and safety test standards of tractors.

복합 자이로플레인의 한계 속도에 대한 탐색연구(2) : 속도 및 날개 사이징 (An Exploratory Study on the Speed Limit of Compound Gyroplane(2) : Speed and Wing Sizing)

  • 복합 자이로플레인의 최대 비행 속도 설정 및 부족한 양력을 보조하는 고정익의 사이징에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. BO-105 헬리콥터의 로터 시스템과 엔진을 사용하는 복합 자이로플레인의 성능을 BO-105 헬리콥터와 비교하였다. 로터의 공력특성과 양력분담률을 고려하여 고정익의 익면적을 계산하고 BO-105 동체와 유선형 동체의 형상에 따른 전진 비행 성능 변화를 관찰하였다. 해석 결과 자동회전이 가능한 속도 범위에서 로터는 자동회전으로 1/2의 양력 분담이 가능하고 나머지 절반의 양력을 담당하는 날개를 유선형의 동체에 부착할 경우 유해동력을 최소로 줄일 수 있으며 따라서 복합 자이로플레인 방식으로 비행할 때 헬리콥터보다 높은 속도로 전진 비행할 수 있을 것으로 예측되었다.

3차원 비선형 조파문제 해석을 위한 수치해법 연구 (A Study of Numerical Method for Analysis of the 3-Dimensional Nonlinear Wave-Making Problems)

  • 본 연구에서는 자유표면 유동문제를 효율적으로 계산하기 위한 방법으로서, 수치 파수조를 구현하여 잠수체에 의한 조파현상을 시간영역에서 다룰 수 있는 수치해법에 대하여 소개하였다. 그리고 이를 이용하여 수행된 연구내용들을 검토하고 양력물체의 경우를 포함하기 위하여 개선된 수학적 정식화 및 수치해법의 개요를 다루었다. 임의의 운동을 하는 양력물체에 의한 조파현상을 전산기로 구현하는 수치 파수조는 과중한 계산시간이 문제가 되는데, 이는 수치 Kutta 조건의 구현과 양력표면 후방의 wake 영역을 계산에서 고려해야 하기 때문이다. 따라서 한층 더 수치계산의 효율성이 중요하다고 판단되므로, 본 연구에서 소개된 3차원 고차 스펙트럴/경계요소법(High-Order Spectral/Boundary Element Method)은 자유표면 요소수를 N이라 할 때 그 계산량이 NlogN에 비례(N이 클 때는 거의 선형적으로 비례)하여 증가하므로 기존의 방법들 보다 매우 효율적인 수치해법이라 할 수 있다. 향후, 본 연구의 타당성 검증을 위한 수치코드의 개선과 여러 가지 수치계산결과 비교 등의 노력이 더 필요하다고 생각된다.

Development of a hydraulic power transmission system for the 3-point hitch of 50-kW narrow tractors

  • High performance small and mid-sized tractors are required for dryland and orchard operations. A power transmission system is the most important issue for the design of high performance tractors. Many operations, such as loading and lifting, use hydraulic power. In the present study, a hydraulic power transmission system for the 3-point hitch of a 50 kW narrow tractor was developed and its performance was evaluated. First, major components were designed based on target design parameters. Target operations were spraying, weeding, and transportation. Main design parameters were determined through mathematical calculation and computer simulation. The capacity of the hydraulic cylinder was calculated taking the lifting force required for the weight of the implements into consideration. Then, a prototype was fabricated. Major components were the lifting valve, hydraulic cylinder, and 3-point hitch. Finally, performance was evaluated through laboratory tests. Tests were conducted using load weights, lift arm sensor, and lift arm height from the ground. Test results showed that the lifting force was in the range of 23.5 - 29.4 kN. This force was greater than lifting forces of competing foreign tractors by 3.9 - 4.9 kN. These results satisfied the design target value of 20.6 kN, determined by survey of advanced foreign products. The prototype will be commercialized after revision based on various field tests. Improvement of reliability should be also achieved.

6kW V2H Power Converter Using Isolated CLLC DAB Converter

  • Recently, as interest in eco-friendliness grows, the supply of hybrid electric vehicles and pure electric vehicles (EVs) for improving fuel efficiency of automobiles is rapidly expanding. The average daily energy consumption of electric vehicles is less than 20 [%] of the total ESS capacity of the vehicle, and research on additional functions using the ESS of the vehicle is urgently needed to expand the supply of electric vehicles. V2H(Vehicle to Home), like V2G(Vehicle to Grid), includes the concept of cooperating with system stabilization using ESS of electric vehicles. In addition, it includes various operations that can realize home welfare, such as uninterrupted power supply in case of power outage at home, and power supply for home DC devices. Therefore, in order to expand the supply of eco-friendly electric vehicles, it is urgently required to develop a V2H system with various functions that can realize home welfare. In this paper, we propose a V2H system with a CLLC resonant converter and a non-isolated step-up converter that can solve different impedance and resonant frequencies depending on the power transfer direction. The proposed V2H system is 6 [kVA] applicable to 150-450 [V], the voltage range that can use the ESS voltage for electric vehicles, and is designed with a capacity that can handle instantaneous electricity use at home. In addition, in order to verify the feasibility, an experiment by Psim simulation and prototype production was performed.
