  • This study aims to assess the current understanding of the landscape of wind power facilities as renewable energy sources that supply sightseeing, tourism, and other opportunities. Therefore, social media data related to the landscape of wind power facilities experienced by visitors from different regions was analyzed. The analysis results showed that the common characteristics of the landscape of wind power facilities are based on the scale of wind power facilities, the distance between overlook points of wind power facilities, the visual openness of the wind power facilities from the overlook points, and the terrain where the wind power facilities are located. In addition, the preference for wind power facilities is higher in places where the shape of wind power facilities and the surrounding landscape can be clearly seen- flat ground or the sea are considered better landscapes. Negative keywords about the landscape appear on Gade Mountain in Taibai, Meifeng Mountain in Taibai, Taiqi Mountain, and Gyeongju Wind Power Generation Facilities on Gyeongshang Road in Gangwon. The keyword 'negation' occurs when looking at wind power facilities at close range. Because of the high angle of the view, viewers can feel overwhelmed seeing the size of the facility and the ridge simultaneously, feeling psychological pressure. On the contrary, positive landscape adjectives are obtained from wind power facilities on flat ground or the sea. Visitors think that the visual volume of the landscape is fully ensured on flat ground or the sea, and it is a symbolic element that can represent the site. This study analyzes landscape awareness based on the opinions of visitors who have experienced wind power facilities. However, wind power facilities are built in different areas. Therefore, landscape characteristics are different, and there are many variables, such as viewpoints and observers, so the research results are difficult to popularize and have limitations. In recent years, landscape damage due to the construction of wind power facilities has become a hot issue, and the domestic methods of landscape evaluation of wind power facilities are unsatisfactory. Therefore, when evaluating the landscape of wind power facilities, the scale of wind power facilities, the inherent natural characteristics of the area where wind power facilities are set up, and the distance between wind power facilities and overlook points are important elements to consider. In addition, wind power facilities are set in the natural environment, which needs to be protected. Therefore, from the landscape perspective, it is necessary to study the landscape of wind power facilities and the surrounding environment.

  • Recently, more electric power facilities have been miniaturized and it is noted that the facilities maintenance will be essential through operation optimization. In this paper we applied and examined the operation optimization of electric power facilities by applying Matrix system which can improve reliability to minimize outage and recover failure rapidly when blackouts happen at 25.8kV Gas Insulated Switchgear(GIS). The fundamental problem for facilities maintenance of GIS can happen due to indeterminable internal state in real time. Matrix optimization organizes action states in all containers which contain pressurized $SF_6$ Gas such as circuit breaker, disconnector switch, bus for utilizing them each area. Then, we connect it with power system to monitor and control internal state remotely in real time, and we can minimize blackout zone or outage. Considering above process, we improved stability of overall facilities.

  • Underground power plant is required the strict safety management and safety assessment. Because it is the high risk of explosion by characteristic of enclosed space. In case gas leak of enclosed space, the ventilation facilities is very important in order to prevent explosion by the maintain less than the LEL(lower explosive limit). Thus, Through a safety assessment of ventilation volume is to reduce the risk for ventilation facilities in Underground power plant.

  • Several heavy duty coatings at an every kind industry facilities to various systems currently have been applied review to the many industry fields. Corrosion-protective characteristics in the case of novolac epoxy among them and unsaturated polyester have been applied most widely. epoxy and flake heavy duty coatings are applied for such reason in an every kind facilities(stack, FGD, cooler, chemical tank etc) of a fossil-fuel power plants Cases of the fossil-fuel power plants are exposed to more severe corrosion environment compared with other facilities and It is difficult to display the performance of long-term method at apply to be the partial. Our study shows fluoro-polymer composite coating method to overcome of the limit. The comparison did previous method and heavy duty coating about FGD plants most at a corrosion environment among fossil-fuel power plants. Additionally, other facilities examined different heavy duty method. The design mode of fluoro-polymer composite coating according to an every kind facilities show extensive methods that are characteristic revelation of film(top, middle and primer layer) composition of the paint, film thickness in accordance with a facilities corrosion and the corrosion protective effectiveness to come into being use fluoro-polymer composite with heavy duty paint(epoxy).

  • In view of the frequent start-ups and load changes in the recent past, there is a need for fossil-fuel power plants to be more efficient and reliable for long-term operation. Under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions, severe creep and fatigue damages can occur in major plant facilities, particularly, turbines and boilers. For highly stable operation and better maintenance, various techniques that facilitate a systematic assessment of the service life of critical facilities have been developed. However, to date, in Korea, to evaluate the remaining life of major facilities of fossil power plant, qualitative or semiquantitative analyses are carried out without following any standard guidelines or procedure. In this study, a standard code for assessing the remaining life of major plant facilities is proposed. This code takes into account creep and fatigue damage, which are generally accepted as dominant causes of damage to facilities. KEPIC (Korea Electric Power Industry code) is scheduled to include this guideline in 2010.

  • Purpose: It is important to operate safely and economically in obsolescent power plant facilities. Economical operation is related in the balance of the supply and demand. Safety operation predicts the possible risks in the facilities and then, takes measures to the facilities. For the monitoring of the power plant facilities, we needs several kinds of the sensing system. From the sensors data, we can predict the possible risk. Method: We installed the acoustic, vibration, electric and smoke sensors in the power plant facilities. Using the data, we developed 3 kinds of prediction models, such as, demand prediction, plant engine abnormal prediction model, and risk prediction model. Results: Accuracy of the demand prediction model is over 90%. The other models make a stable operation of the system. Conclusion: For the sustainable operation of the obsolescent power plant, we developed 3 kinds of AI prediction models. The model apply to JB company's power plant facilities.

  • This paper gives the support method of DSM program(power load leveling for heating and cooling facilities on building). As the national power peak load increases recently, the peak load reduction is needed. So we studied about remote controlling of power load from heating/cooling facilities on building during peak times. To adopt new DSM program, it is very important to design DSM customer supporting system. So in this paper, we dealt with the result of customer survey, and the DSM potential regarding heating/cooling facilities on building. In conclusion, the peak reduction program of heating/cooling facilities is very important and the incentive of customer should be consist of two incentive types as an installation and power reduction.

  • It is brought up the electric power shortage for particular dense population areas. Due to this, the high quality economical and eco friendly electric power facilities are needed. Also, the inconvenience of maintenance is significantly increasing in case of power cut and black out. For avoiding power failure of underground electric power facilities, the precise preventive maintenance is compulsory but there are apparent limitations. In this paper, the intelligent rail mobile system is described to overcome the limitations.

  • Recently, the reactor trip in nuclear power plants has mostly occurred by the failure of secondary electrical facilities. Some kinds of technical standards or acceptable criteria are required to regulate those facilities. Therefore, in this paper the failures of secondary electrical facilities which cause reactor trip are analyzed, and the inspection technologies including guidelines for secondary electrical facilities are developed.
