  • In this paper, For achieving the high gain and resonant characteristics in both of the power flow directions, a bidirectional resonant dc-dc converter with auxiliary switches is proposed. Auxiliary switches are connected in the primary and secondary side of the bidirectional resonant dc-dc converter, respectively. A 800W prototype bidirectional resonant dc-dc converter for interfacing the 400V DC buses in the energy storage system is built and tested to verify the validity and applicability of this proposed converter.

  • Destination-assisted jamming (DAJ) is usually used to protect confidential information against untrusted relays and eavesdroppers in wireless networks. In this paper, a DAJ-based untrusted relay network with multiple antennas installed is presented. To increase the secrecy, a joint optimization of beamforming and power allocation at the source and destination is studied. A matched-filter precoder is introduced to maximize the cooperative jamming signal by directing cooperative jamming signals toward untrusted relays. Then, based on generalized singular-value decomposition (GSVD), a novel transmitted precoder for confidential signals is devised to align the signal into the subspace corresponding to the confidential transmission channel. To decouple the precoder design and optimal power allocation, an iterative algorithm is proposed to jointly optimize the above parameters. Numerical results validate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. Compared with other schemes, the proposed scheme shows significant improvement in terms of security performance.

  • The most common power quality problems in distribution systems are related to unbalanced voltage sags. Voltage sags must be detected quickly and corrected in a minimum amount of time. One of the most widely used methods for sag detection is based on the d-q transformation. This method has the disadvantage of missing the detection of unbalanced faults, because this method uses a voltage sag level signal obtained from the average of 3 phases for sag detection. In this paper, an adaptive filter sag detection method is proposed for Dynamic Voltage Restorers (DVR) under unbalanced fault conditions. The proposed DVR controller is able to detect balanced, unbalanced and single phase voltage sags. A novel reference voltage generation method is also presented. To validate the proposed control methods, a 3-phase DSP controlling a DVR prototype with a power rating of 1.5-kVA has been developed. Finally, experimental results are presented to verify the performance of the proposed control methods.

  • This paper presents the voltage source type half bridge lossless auxiliary inductor snubber assisted series capacitor compensated resonant high frequency inverter for induction heated fixing roller in copy machines. This high-frequency inverter treated here can completely achieve zero current soft switching (ZCS) commutation for wide power regulation range under its constant frequency pulse density modulation (PDM) scheme. Its transient and steady-state operating principle is originally presented fur a constant frequency PDM control strategy under a ZCS operation commutation, together with its output effective power regulation characteristics-based on the PDM strategy. The experimental operating performances of this ZCS-PDM high frequency inverter using IGBTs are illustrated as compared with computer simulation ones. Its power losses and actual efficiency are evaluated and discussed on the basis of simulation and experimental results.

  • In this paper, we study on the mutual characteristics between transmitting efficiency of pulse energy and wall plug consumed power of non-thermal Plasma for removing environmental pollutive gas of coal plant. To obtain high pulse energy of our system, we used MPC(magnetic pulse compressor) of power switch and tested their characteristics by adjusting electrode length of reactor and charging voltage in capacitor. As a result, we obtained consumed power of wall plug and a compressed pulse of voltage 110kV, rising time 500ns. Impedance of load on increasing electrode length was decreased, but electrical efficiency was increased. These results indicate we can control critical voltage of pulse corona and electrical efficiency of economic cost in power plant.

  • This paper presents a novel prototype of an active auxiliary quasi-resonant snubber(Auxiliary Quasi-Resonant Commutation Block-Link; ARCB)-assisted three phase voltage source soft switching space voltage vector modulated PFC rectifier, which uses Zero Voltage Soft Switching (ZVS) commutation. The operating principles of this digitally-controlled three phase soft switching PWM-PFC rectifier system with an instantaneous power feedback scheme are illustrated and its steady-state performance is evaluated using computer-aided simulation analysis.

  • This paper introduces a novel digital one cycle control (DOCC) boost power factor correction (PFC) converter. The proposed PFC converter realizes the FPGA-based DOCC control approach for single-phase PFC rectifiers without input voltage sensing or a complicated two-loop compensation design. It can also achieve a high power factor and the operation of low harmonic input current ingredients over universal loads in continuous conduction mode. The trailing triangle modulation adopted in this approach makes the acquisition of the average input current an easy process. The controller implementation is based on a boost topology power circuit with low speed, low-resolution A/D converters, and economical FPGA development board. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed PFC rectifier can obtain a PF value of up to 0.999 and a minimum THD of at least 1.9% using a 120W prototype.

  • To get instantaneous reference data in a single power system with vector space phasors, the instantaneous load current is adopted as a phase and another new signal, which is delayed through filtering by the phase-delay property of a low-pass filter, is used as the secondary phase. Because the two-phases have a different phase, the instantaneous value of the harmonic current can be obtained without a time-delay in calculation. The reference voltage is created by multiplying the coefficient k by the compensation current using the rotating reference frame synchronized with the source-frequency. To verify the validity of the proposed control method, experiments are carried out on a prototype of the single-phase hybrid active power filter system.
