The World has been rapidly changing into either technological aspects or perception of those who has utilised to the corresponding informational impact. Whatever areas we have actually been involved in are strongly connected with this evolution of informational technology in one way or another. Logistics is not a exception as well as trade. Two main routes in distribution channel such as commercial and physical flow of goods, have been operating in terms of I-business. In order to activate E-trade with E-commerce, E-logistics should be utilised and emphasized in more efficient and effective manner of doing job as a facilitator. So, in this paper, it studied the role of E-logistics to make E-trade better work as well as to look into present situations in E-commerce. Then, it was identified that some facilities as 3PL or shipping company have to adopt information in their business process with a view of valued add service providers. This means those who have implemented E-Logistics activities, should be more competitive in the market, only when they provide the value-added total logistics services.

World ports and shipping markets are changing dynamically. The 9,000TEUs classed container vessels are avaiable to enter service now, so liner services are ready to start. With regard to the changing environment, the world ports ease regulations as well as invest funds to be leading ports. As a result, the importance of port logistics industry is getting bigger than before. It has an effect on improvement of service quality when a shipping company selects a port. The importance of tally, one cf the necessary elements in the port logistics industry is overlooked and there is no researches for tally yet. This paper suggests plans for the development of domestic tally after the investigations and analysis of survey are conducted.

This study evaluates how activation plans presented by previous research are perceived by employees in the ship supply industry by sample surveys. Another objective of this study is to also assist in the selection of effective activation plans. It is becoming more and more difficult for the Port of Busan to strengthen its competitiveness in the ship supply industry by maintaining the status quo. Much research extending the scope of research subjects in the port logistics industry indicates that the development of the port logistics industry is very important for creating new value for the Port of Busan. The results shows that improvement in the retail structure and government support had a significantly positive correlation between the importance and necessity of the ship supply industry activation.

Recently, the logistics companies are constructing distribution market for logistics service in hinterland which is convenient for management and activity of logistics. Since the expansion of hinterland has physical constraints and related to the adjacent cities, it is vital to select value added types of logistics in the business. This study determines the priority of logistics business types in the hinterland of Busan's new port using DHP, and also it suggests future types of logistics business by comparing result of study with the enterprises located in the hinterland. As a result, the inter-modal transport business has higher weight than the storage business. The distribution manufacturing business also has relatively high weight. Therefore, the inter-modal business and storage business need to keep a present status in hinterland, and the distribution manufacturing business should consolidate the role.

The main purpose of this study is to develop new measurement device of the quality of terminal service, applying the existing research output of service marketing to the specific industrial aspect of container terminal. Especially we tried to help marketing managers present the points of effective marketing strategy with each dimension of service quality. To achieve this aim, we defined the service quality demensions of container port as the following three ones; the internal, the external, and the interactive qualities. The applied measuring instruments could be divided into three dimensions by carrying out factor analysis. Additionally, by analyzing the relative effects of the three dimensions of service quality on customer satisfaction, we found that the relative importance are as follows; interaction quality>internal quality> external quality. We confirmed that the three dimensions of service quality could affect customer loyalty and information, through customer satisfaction.

The purpose of this paper is to compare and analyze the status of ship departures by major ports in Korea. To this end, we collected necessary data from the National Statistical Office (National Statistical Portal), "Transportation·Logistics ⇨ Ship Departure Status by Port". The analysis period is 141 months from January 2009 to September 2020. The increase rate was higher in the order of Yeosu, Pyeongtaek Dangjin, Gwangyang, Busan, Incheon and Ulsan. In the analysis of the rate of change, Yeosu showed an uptrend while other ports showed a modest downtrend. In the scatter analysis, the total ship departure shows a high degree of synchronization with other ports except Yeosu. As a result of the empirical analysis, the recent trend of ship departures is slowly falling below 0%, and the current movement is expected to continue for the time being. As the southern logistics of China and ASEAN and northern logistics of Eurasia become active, the role of major ports is expected to expand further. It is necessary to develop a differentiated logistics service for each port and find an efficient way to increase the volume of goods by deriving factors for improving logistics.

When comparing Korea logistics industry with advanced nations, in size, service scope, network and others, our domestic logistics industry is falling behind, and this problem will deter the efforts of South Korea becoming the logistics hub nation in North-east Asia. This study will focus on current conditions of th foreign and domestic logistics, presents policies and plans which will advance logistics industry in South Korea. The results of this study will promote logistics industry in Korea and attain the aim of being a Logistics Hub nation in North-east Asia.

The purpose of this paper aims at contributing to the national economic development through global competitiveness enhancement by marine finance's hub and marine logistics cluster by finance specialization and finance support as a creative-type service industry in global shipping port logistics. This study adopted the integrated approach and applied it to policy implementation to achieve the effectiveness. Creative-type marine finance development stages as a tool of policy implementation and the guide line for the time of policy implementation are followed by Stage 1(Construction & Growth Policy) for 2013~2016, Stage 2(Forstering & Activation Policy) for 2017~2019) and Stage 3(Continuous Development Policy) after 2020 until its completion. Korea has the inferiority over the competitiveness in global marine finance and needs a strategic approach to secure the liquidity of marine finance; interim, Islamic finance has been come to the force as a new alternative in financial transaction being accompanied by a spot transaction since the crisis of global finance. In order to create a potential slack of Korea in marine finance practice, in addition, this study suggests a consortium with the circle of Islamic finance as a clue of an easier policy implementation at the beginning stage.

The market competition of express package deliveries in Korea is severe because a large number of companies have entered into the market. This study thus suggests an approach to the reconfiguration of express service networks with respect to the strategy partnership of closing/keeping service centers among companies involved and the adjustments of their cutoff times. For this we propose an integer programming model and a genetic algorithm based solution procedure for allowing companies involved to maximize their incremental profit. An illustrative numerical example is presented to demonstrate the practicality and efficiency of the proposed model.

Even though logistics service outsourcing becomes widespread in manufacturing and service industries, logistics service providers encounter fierce competition and lower profit. Decreased profit has negative impact on service providers' competitiveness, which in turn threats successful relationship with shippers. In this paper, we investigate the factors which influence the performance of service providers. Factors related to service contract are examined and we test an effect of concreteness and fairness of service contract. PLS (Partial Least Square) modeling method is applied and validated using data from logistics service providing companies in Korea. In the model, service contract clauses are classified into two categories including cost and risk sharing terms. PLS analysis shows that partnership and performance of service relationship is improved when contract clauses are specified in detail. This study will contribute in providing an operational direction in effectively establishing a positive relationship between the logistics service provider and the shipper.
