New polymeric host material for efficient organic electro phosphorescent devices

  • A polymeric host for triplet emitters composed of N-alkylcarbazole and tetramethylbenzene units was successfully synthesized. Efficient energy transfer was observed between this polymeric host and green phosphorescent dyes. The device fabricated using 5 wt% green 1 in the polymeric host as the emitting layer showed the best performance. Thin films of this host-guest system, exhibiting clear stripe patterns could be prepared through the LITI process. The patterned films were then used to fabricate electrophosphorescent devices, which show performance characteristics similar to those of spin-coated devices. The new host material is a good candidate to be used in polymer-based full-color electrophosphorescent light-emitting displays.

폴리머 폼의 비선형 인장거동을 모사하기 위한 기공이 고려된 손상 탄성 구성방정식 (Elastic-Damage Constitutive Model for Nonlinear Tensile Behavior of Polymeric Foam)

  • 폴리머 폼은 다공성을 가장 큰 특징으로 하는 재료이기 때문에, 본 연구에서 비가역 열역학 관점을 기반으로 폴리머 폼의 기공 성장 및 합체를 고려한 손상 탄성 구성방정식을 개발하였으며, 개발된 구성방정식은 unilateral 손상의 효과를 고려하였다. 유한요소해석의 적용을 위해 상용 유한요소해석 프로그램인 ABAQUS의 사용자 서브루틴 UMAT을 이용하여 제안된 구성방정식을 수치적으로 구현하였다. 비선형 유한요소해석 결과와 폴리머 폼의 인장 시험 결과와 비교를 통해 제안된 손상 모델의 유효성을 검증하였으며, 제안된 구성방정식의 재료모델상수가 손상에 미치는 영향에 대해 분석하였다.

고분자재료의 연소가스 독성평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Combustion Gases Toxicity Evaluation of Polymeric Material)

  • 본 연구는 고분자재료 중 방염미처리된 합판, 방염처리된 합판, 경질PVC, 경질우레탄폼의 연소가스 독성평가를 위하여 열분해 온도 $600^{\circ}c$, $800^{\circ}c$, $1000^{\circ}c$에 따라 발생되는 연소가스를 가스텍(GASTEC) 가스검지관(Colorimetric gas detector tubes)을 이용하여 조사하였다. 연구결과 고분자재료의 연소시 발생되는 연소가스에 인간이 30달 동안 노출될 경우 사망에 이르는 독성지수를 갖고 있었으며, 열분해 온도 $800^{\circ}c$에서 독성지수는 경질 PVC가 31.94로 가장 높았다. 또한 열분해 온도에 관계없이 공통적으로 발생되는 연소가스는 이산화탄소($CO_2$)와 일산화탄소(CO)로. 나타났으며, 동일재료라도 열분해 온도에 따라 독성지수(T.I)는 차이가 있었다.

EPDM 및 실리콘 재질의 폴리머현수애자의 특성 비교 (The Comparison of EPDM and Silicone in Housing Materials of Polymeric Suspension Insulators)

  • In our country, the housing materials of polymeric outdoor insulators have mainly been used EPDM or silicone rubber. EPDM housing materials had been widely used in the field for the first time. The reason why silicone has the high cost of production. But recently, most of the manufacturers that newly developed polymeric insulators make its choice of silicone housing. EPDM showed a good resistance to tracking. We compared the various characteristics for EPDM and silicone insulators that have similar type and design. Silicone insulators have more performance in flashover voltage test and leakage current measurement because of a good water repellent than EPDM ones. Also, the property of EPDM compared with silicone insulators greatly decreased after aging test in combined acceleration ageing facilities for 1000 hours.

  • 고분자 재료가 전자산업분야에서 절연재료나 접착제로 널리 사용되고 있다. 실리콘 기판위에 증착된 고분자 층에는 기판과의 열팽창계수 차이로 인해 열응력이 발생할 수 있다 고분자 층과 기판사이의 열적 성질의 차이로 인해 큰 잔류응력이 야기된다. 본 연구에서는 레이저 주사법을 이용하여 열적변형으로 인한 곡률변화를 측정한 후, 해석적 방법을 적용하여 수정된 박막 물성을 구하는 방법을 제시하고 있다.

  • Polymeric suspended insulators for subway and electrical track line had been designed and manufactured. The main elements to design polymeric insulators were the insulation ability and the optimal structure. To get the insulation ability, electrical and mechanical tests according to standards had done on housing rubbers and FRP cores and selected the sample with best properties as a insulator. The insulator shape and fitting parts with minimum electrical stress was simulated by FEM electrical field analysis program. The manufactured insulator set had been tested and estimated the electrical and mechanical according to ES and KS, and showed good characteristics in these tests.

  • New polymeric hydrogels based on vinyl ethers have been synthesized by the ${\gamma}$-initiated polymerization method. Their physical chemistry and physical mechanical properities have been studied. It has been shown that structure and swelling behavior of the hydrogels can be regulated by the changing of synthesis conditions nature of monomers. Novel stimuli-sensitive polymers have been synthesized by the varying of macrochains hydrophilic-hydrophobic balance. The some biomedical aspects of application of hydrogels in capacity of drain aging polymeric materials in ophthalmology surgery, implants in plastic surgery as well as drug delivery systems have been investigated.

  • This paper describes the analysis of electric field distribution of high voltage polymeric bushing with structure. The high voltage bushing consists of FRP tube and housing made of LSR. The field control can be achieved by means of the design of such internal field shaper and top corona ring as grading electrodes. In accordance, the optimized design uses both internal and external elements for electric stress grading at critical parts of the bushing. Maxwell 2D simulator based on the boundary element method was also introduced in order to verify the reliability of the polymeric bushing.

  • Electrical property of polymeric insulating plays a key role in the trend of making power apparatus high voltage, and reliability and safety of apparatus in the long term depend on it. There is a recent trend of applying polymeric material to insulating material for outdoor, and particularly it is expected that it may be used partly as a pin insulator. Using as an alternate of insulating material for outdoor, however, it has still many problems to be solved in the field of material such as resistances of environment and tracking. It has been given attention to that the silicon rubbers and the epoxy have recently been used. but the the reliability in the viewpoint of material property becomes an issue. The polymeric materials such as EPDM, Epoxy and PVC have also been used as an insulating materials for outdoor. In this point of view, we studied each tracking phenomenon with test material such as rubber for pin, PVC for powercable used as an insulating material for outdoor, and Epoxy etc. The characteristics of anti tracking shows EPDM>Epoxy>PVC in order in the results. We also know that there is an close relationship between properties of tracking and thermegravimetry.

코로나 대전을 통한 옥외용 고분자 절연재료의 자외선 열화특성 연구 (Study on UV degradation in Polymeric Insulating Materials for Use in Outdoor Insulators by Corona-Charging)

  • In this paper, we have investigated the degradation of shed materials of outdoor insulators by UV-radiation by using corona-charging and XPS analysis. The accumulated charges on polymeric surface having intrinsic hydrophobic property have a negative impact on retaining its hydrophobicity. Therefore, shorter decay times of surface charges are preferred. The surface voltage decay on UV-treated silicone rubber and EPDM show a different decay trend with UV treated time. From the XPS analysis, the oxidized groups of silica-like structure in silicone rubber increase with UV treatment time. For EPDM, the oxidized carbon groups of C=O, O=C-O increase as elapse of UV radiation time. These oxidized surface for each material have different electrostatic characteristics, so deposited charges may be expected to have different impacts on their surface hydrophobicity. The degradation mechanism based on our results is discussed.
