바이칼레인(baicalein)이 poly-IC와 lipoteichoic acid로 자극된 마우스 대식세포 RAW 264.7의 hydrogen peroxide 생성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of baicalein on hydrogen peroxide productions in RAW 264.7 mouse macrophages stimulated by poly-IC and lipoteichoic acid)

  • Objectives : The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of baicalein (BA) on the production of hydrogen peroxide and nitric oxide (NO) in RAW 264.7 mouse macrophages stimulated with polyinosinic-polycytidylic acid (poly-IC) and lipoteichoic acid. Methods : RAW 264.7 co-stimulated with poly-IC and lipoteichoic acid were incubated with baicalein at concentrations of 25 and 50 μM. Incubation time is 16 h, 18 h, 20 h, 22 h, and 24 h. After incubation, The production of hydrogen peroxide in RAW 264.7 was measured with dihydrorhodamine 123 assay. Chrysin was used as a comparative material. NO production was evaluated by griess assay. Results : For 16 h, 18 h, 20 h, 22 h, and 24 h incubation, BA at the concentration of 25 and 50 μM significantly inhibited the production of hydrogen peroxide in RAW 264.7 stimulated by poly-IC and lipoteichoic acid (p <0.001). In details, production of hydrogen peroxide in 'poly-IC and lipoteichoic acid'-stimulated RAW 264.7 treated for 16 h with BA at concentrations of 25 and 50 μM was 82.36% and 77.24% of the control group treated with poly-IC and lipoteichoic acid only, respectively; the production of hydrogen peroxide for 18 h was 83.15% and 77.91%, respectively;production of hydrogen peroxide for 20 h was 82.88% and 77.82%, respectively; production of hydrogen peroxide for 22 h was 83.27% and 78.17%, respectively; production of hydrogen peroxide for 24 h was 83.54% and 78.35%, respectively. Additionally, BA at the concentration of 50 and 100 μM significantly inhibited NO production in lipoteichoic acid-induced RAW 264.7 (p <0.001). Conclusions : BA might have anti-oxidative activity related to its inhibition of hydrogen peroxide production in 'poly-IC and lipoteichoic acid'-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophages.

Induction of Potent Antigen-specific Cytotoxic T Cell Response by PLGA-nanoparticles Containing Antigen and TLR Agonist

  • Previously we showed that biodegradable nanoparticles containing poly-IC or CpG oligodeoxynucleotide (ODN) together with ovalbumin (OVA) were efficient at inducing MHC-restricted presentation of OVA peptides in dendritic cells. The CTL-inducing activities of the nanoparticles were examined in the present study. Nanoparticles containing poly-IC or CpG ODN together with OVA were prepared using biodegradable polymer poly(D,L-lactic acid-co-glycolic acid), and then were opsonized with mouse IgG. The nanoparticles were injected into the tail vein of mice, and 7 days later the OVA-specific CTL activities were measured using an in vivo CTL assay. Immunization of mice with the nanoparticles containing poly-IC or CpG ODN together with OVA elicited potent OVA-specific CTL activity compared to those containing OVA only. In accordance with these results, nanoparticles containing poly-IC or CpG ODN together with OVA exerted potent antitumor activity in mice that were subcutaneously implanted with EG7.OVA tumor cells. These results show that encapsulation of poly-IC or CpG ODN together with antigen in biodegradable nanoparticles is an effective approach for the induction of potent antigen-specific CTL responses in vivo.

SPC, MIC를 통해 만들어진 Poly-Ge Film의 Phosphorus 영향에 따른 전기적 특성 분석

  • Monolithic 3D-IC는 현대 집적회로에서 interconnect로 인해 발생되는 여러 문제들을 해결하기 위해 새롭게 제시되고 있는 기술적 개념으로 구현 시 하위 소자 및 interconnet들에 영향을 주지 않는 저온공정이 필수적이다. 특히 germanium (Ge)은 낮은 녹는점 및 높은 캐리어 이동도 덕분에 3D-IC 구현 시 상위 소자의 channel 물질에 적합한 것으로 알려져 있다. 최근 이러한 Ge을 결정화하기 위해 solid phase crystallization (SPC), metal induced crystallization (MIC), laser annealing과 같은 결정화 방법들이 보고되고 있다. 현재까지 SPC 방법에 의해 얻어진 poly-Ge의 도핑농도 및 이동도와 같은 전기적 특성에 대한 분석은 수행된 바 있으나 3D-IC 공정에 적용이 가능한 MIC 기술을 통해 얻어진 poly Ge 필름에 대한 전기적 특성분석은 부족한 상황이다. 본 연구는 SPC 뿐만 아니라 MIC 방법을 통해 ${\alpha}$-Ge를 결정화시키고 얻어진 poly-Ge 필름의 전기적 특성을 XRD 및 hall effect measurement를 통해 분석하였다. 특히 일반적으로 Ge 내에서 p-type dopant로 동작을 하는 defect과 n-type dopant인 phosphorus 관계를 고려하여 여러 온도에서 SPC 및 MIC에 의해 얻어진 phosphorus doped poly-Ge 필름들의 전기적 특성을 분석하였다.

  • In this paper, we propose the single polycrystalline silicon flash EEPROM IC with a new structure which does not need the high voltage switching circuit. The design of high voltage switching circuits which are needed for the data program and erase, has been an obstacle to develop the single-poly EEPROM. Therefore, we has proposed the new cell structure which uses the low voltage switching circuits and has designed the full chip. A new single-poly EEPROM cell is designed and the full chip including the control block, the analog block, row decoder block, and the datapath block is designed. And the each block is verified by using the computer simulation. In addition, the full chip layout is performed.

Efficient Anti-Tumor Immunotherapy Using Tumor Epitope-Coated Biodegradable Nanoparticles Combined With Polyinosinic-Polycytidylic Acid and an Anti-PD1 Monoclonal Antibody

  • Vaccination with tumor peptide epitopes associated with MHC class I molecules is an attractive approach directed at inducing tumor-specific CTLs. However, challenges remain in improving the therapeutic efficacy of peptide epitope vaccines, including the low immunogenicity of peptide epitopes and insufficient stimulation of innate immune components in vivo. To overcome this, we aimed to develop and test an innovative strategy that elicits potent CTL responses against tumor epitopes. The essential feature of this strategy is vaccination using tumor epitope-loaded nanoparticles (NPs) in combination with polyinosinic-polycytidylic acid (poly-IC) and anti-PD1 mAb. Carboxylated NPs were prepared using poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) and poly(ethylene/maleic anhydride), covalently conjugated with anti-H-2Kb mAbs, and then attached to H-2Kb molecules isolated from the tumor mass (H-2b). Native peptides associated with the H-2Kb molecules of H-2Kb-attached NPs were exchanged with tumor peptide epitopes. Tumor peptide epitope-loaded NPs efficiently induced tumor-specific CTLs when used to immunize tumor-bearing mice as well as normal mice. This activity of the NPs significantly was increased when co-administered with poly-IC. Accordingly, the NPs exerted significant anti-tumor effects in mice implanted with EG7-OVA thymoma or B16-F10 melanoma, and the anti-tumor activity of the NPs was significantly increased when applied in combination with poly-IC. The most potent anti-tumor activity was observed when the NPs were co-administered with both poly-IC and anti-PD1 mAb. Immunization with tumor epitope-loaded NPs in combination with poly-IC and anti-PD1 mAb in tumor-bearing mice can be a powerful means to induce tumor-specific CTLs with therapeutic anti-tumor activity.

  • By the SOG (System-on-Glass) technology with excimer laser anneal process, the number of IC chips and the area of the mounted IC chips on the printed circuit board are reduced. In new circuit integrations on the glass substrate, we have developed D/A converter including the new capacitor array, amplifier comprising the original comparators and new display device with capturing images by integrated sensor into a pixel. This paper discusses the application of circuit integration of low-temperature poly-Si.

고속 적외선 광 송수신 IC 설계 (A Design of High Speed Infrared Optical Data Link IC)

  • 본 논문에서는 4 Mb/s 부터 100 Mb/s 의 IrDA(Infrared Data Association) 응용이 가능한 CMOS infrared (IR) wireless data link IC의 설계 방법에 대해 기술한다. 이 모듈은 60 dB에서 100 dB가지의 이득 범위를 가지는 variable gain transimpedance amplifier, AGC(automatic gain control) 회로, AOC(automatic offset control) loop, 4 PPM (pulse position modulation) modulator/demodulator와 DLL(delay locked loops)로 구성된다. 본 적외선 광송수신 IC는 0.25 um 1-poly 5-metal CMOS 공정을 이용하여 제작되었다. 2.5 V 전원 전압에서 동작시켰으며 100 Mb/s에서 출력단 버퍼를 제외하고 25 mW의 진력을 소모한다. 칩의 크기는 1.5 mm $\times$ 1 mm이다.

  • For proper communication with various types of IC-Card, multiple IC-Card interface complying with the IC-Card standard (ISO7816) is embedded and realized as a peripheral on the 32-bit RISC based system-on-a-chip. It provides the generation of either 3.3V or 5V power supply for the operation of the inserted IC-Card as well. IC-Card interface is divided into an analog front-end (AFE) and a digital back-end (DBE). The embedded DC-DC converters suitable for driving IC-Cards are incorporated in the AFE. The chip design for multiple IC-Card interface is implemented on a standard 0.35${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ triple-metal double-poly CMOS process and is packaged in a 352-pin plastic ball grid array (PBGA). The total gate count is about 400,000, excluding the internal memory. Die area is 7890${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ $\times$ 7890${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$.

  • 본 논문에서는 육상 이동 라디오 시스템을 호처리기 IC에 관하여 논한다. 본 IC는 육상 이동 라디오 시스템간의 호처리를 위하여 CTCSS 톤 또는 DCS 코드를 발생시키는 기능과 이를 다시 해독하여 음성경로를 개폐하는 기능을 수행한다. 호처리를 위한 CTCSS 톤 및 DCS 코드 신호는 서브오디오 대역에 위치하며 음성신호와 함께 전송된다. 오디오 및 서브오디오 경로는 스위치드 커패시터 필터로 구성되어 있다. 본 IC는 0.6-$\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS 공정으로 구현되었으며 전체 칩 크기는 3 mm$\times$4.3 mm 이며 3.3 V에서 dir 3.4 mA의 전류를 소모한다.

Studies on Cure Behaviors, Dielectric Characteristics and Mechanical Properties of DGEBA/Poly(ethylene terephthalate) Blends

  • The cure behaviors, dielectric characteristics and fracture toughness of diglycidylether of bisphenol-A (DGEBA)/poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) blend system were investigated. The degree of conversion for the DGEBA/PET blend system was measured using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The cure kinetics were investigated by measuring the cure activation energies ($E_a$) with dynamic differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The dielectric characteristic was examined by dielectric analysis (DEA). The mechanical properties were investigated by measuring the critical stress intensity factor ($K_{IC}$), critical strain energy release rate ($G_{IC}$), and impact strength test. As a result, DGEBAIPET was successfully blended. The Ea of the blend system was increased with increasing PET content to a maximum at 10 phr PET. The dielectric constant was decreased with increasing PET content. The mechanical properties of the blend system were also superior to those of the neat DGEBA. These results were attributed to the increased cross-linking density of the blend system, resulting from the interaction between the epoxy group of DGEBA and the carboxyl group of PET.
