디지털 사이니지 환경제공을 위한 스마트 콘텐츠 플랫폼 개발 (Development of Smart Contents Platform for providing Digital Sinage Environment)

  • 최근 디지털 사이니지 기술의 변화는 첨단 융합 기술 발전으로 인해 다양하게 발전해가고 있다. 컨버전스 기술들의 발전으로 디지털 사이니지는 사용자의 정보 입력이 아닌 환경 변화에 반응하여 정보를 전달할 수 있는 형태로 발전하기 위해 각 구성 요소들 간의 체계화된 구조를 통해 정보를 제공하도록 설계되어야 한다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 디지털 사이니지 환경에서 사용자의 인터랙션과 환경 정보를 인지하여 효과적인 정보전달 및 게임, 광고 콘텐츠를 제공하는 스마트 콘텐츠 플랫폼을 제안한다. 본 플랫폼은 기본 하드웨어, 미들웨어, 미들디바이스로 구성되며, 각각의 구성모듈들은 스마트 콘텐츠 플랫폼을 기준으로 운용관리가 되도록 한다. 또한 다양한 센서와 디바이스의 연동으로 사용자와 환경 정보를 수집, 분석하여 콘텐츠를 경험할 수 있다. 이는 새로운 형태의 정보전달 매체의 수단으로 콘텐츠 제작 및 환경을 동시에 제공한다.

범용 오감 융합형 스포츠 시뮬레이터의 개발 (Development of Universal Sports Simulator Fusing 5 Senses)

  • 기존의 스포츠 시뮬레이터 제품들은 모션 플랫폼의 운동과 간단한 시각적 콘텐츠를 이용한 실감 표현에 집중되어 있고 놀이위주의 적용에 국한되어 있어, 사용자가 체감할 수 있는 오감 자극효과가 낮아 고실감 적용에는 부족하며, 전문 콘텐츠 부재로 인해 교육용 스포츠 시뮬레이터로서의 적용은 아직 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 다종목 교환이 가능한 다축 공통 플랫폼과 교환식 스포츠 모듈로 분리하여 공통 플랫폼의 운동 자유도를 4자유도(Surge, Sway, Heave, Yaw) 운동을 할 수 있도록 스포츠 플랫폼을 설계하였다. 이 플랫폼은 안정성을 보장하고 간섭을 최소화하는 데 목적이 있다. 이 플랫폼에 탑재되는 교환식 스포츠 모듈의 운동 자유도는 2자유도(Roll, Pitch)로 승마, 요트와 같은 다양한 운동이 적용이 가능하고, 독립적인 회전 2자유도의 체감형 시뮬레이터의 구현이 가능하도록 하였다.

양이 보청기 개발을 위한 양이 통신 오픈 플랫폼 구현 (Implementation of Binaural Communication Open Platform for Binaural Hearing Aids Developing)

  • Recently, the performance of binaural hearing aids is rapidly improved with the technology advancement of wireless communication, digital signal processing, and integrated circuit design. However, the previous hearing aids developer platforms can't be applied to binaural hearing aids developing, because it has no consideration for wireless communication and binaural hearing control. Also, the previous developer platforms are not easy to use for the algorithm development, because programming languages are limited. In this paper, we designed and implemented the open platform board for binaural hearing aids developing. The designed board can be programmed by general programming language and can be used wireless communication module. In order to verify the designed open platform board, we used the volume control algorithm using two open platform board. As a result of experiment, we verified the performance of designed and implemented open platform board that was successfully operated the binaural hearing control and the wireless communication.

Experimental Study on Application of an Optical Sensor to Measure Mooring-Line Tension in Waves

  • Moored floating platforms have great potential in ocean engineering applications because a mooring system is necessary to keep the platform in station, which is directly related to the operational efficiency and safety of the platform. This paper briefly introduces the technical and operational details of an optical sensor for measuring the tension of mooring lines of a moored platform in waves. In order to check the performance of optical sensors, an experiment with a moored floating platform in waves is carried out in the wave tank at Changwon National University. The experiment is performed in regular waves and irregular waves with a semi-submersible and triangle platform. The performance of the optical sensor is confirmed by comparing the results of the tension of the mooring lines by the optical sensor and tension gauges. The maximum tension of the mooring lines is estimated to investigate the mooring dynamics due to the effect of the wave direction and wavelength in the regular waves. The significant value of the tension of mooring lines in various wave directions is estimated in the case of irregular waves. The results show that the optical sensor is effective in measuring the tension of the mooring lines.

Key Technology for Food-Safety Traceability Based on a Combined Two-Dimensional Code

  • Current food-traceability platforms suffer from problems such as inconsistent traceability standards, a lack of public credibility, and slow access to data. In this work, a combined code and identification method was designed that can achieve more secure product traceability using the dual anti-counterfeiting technology of a QR code and a hidden code. When the QR code is blurry, the hidden code can still be used to effectively identify food information. Based on this combined code, a food-safety traceability platform was developed. The platform follows unified encoding standards and provides standardized interfaces. Based on this innovation, the platform not only can serve individual food-traceability systems development, but also connect existing traceability systems. These will help to solve the problems such as non-standard traceability content, inconsistent processes, and incompatible system software. The experimental results show that the combined code has higher accuracy. The food-safety traceability platform based on the combined code improves the safety of the traceability process and the integrity of the traceability information. The innovation of this paper is invoking the combined code united the QR code's rapidity and the hidden code's reliability, developing a platform that uses a unified coding standard and provides a standardized interface to resolve the differences between multi-food-traceability systems. Among similar systems, it is the only one that has been connected to the national QR code identification platform. The project has made profits and has significant economic and social benefits.

A RESEARCH ON SEAMLESS PLATFORM CHANGE OF REACTOR PROTECTION SYSTEM FROM PLC TO FPGA

  • The PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) has been widely used to implement real-time controllers in nuclear RPSs (Reactor Protection Systems). Increasing complexity and maintenance cost, however, are now demanding more powerful and cost-effective implementation such as FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array). Abandoning all experience and knowledge accumulated over the decades and starting an all-new development approach is too risky for such safety-critical systems. This paper proposes an RPS software development process with a platform change from PLC to FPGA, while retaining all outputs from the established development. This paper transforms FBD designs of the PLC-based software development into a behaviorally-equivalent Verilog program, which is a starting point of a typical FPGA-based hardware development. We expect that the proposed software development process can bridge the gap between two software developing approaches with different platforms, such as PLC and FPGA. This paper also demonstrates its effectiveness using an example of a prototype version of a real-world RPS in Korea.

Relevance of E- Learning and Quality Development in Higher Education

  • This is an extended paper explaining the role of E-learning and quality development in the current situation. Amid Covid:19, E-Learning has achieved a new miles stone in imparting education and all levels of institutions have transformed their learning platform from face to face to virtual learning. In this scenario E-Learning is facing two major challenges, first to ensure the ability of computer systems or software to exchange and make use of information on virtual platform (interoperability) and secondly, developing quality learning through e-Learning. To impart learning and teaching (L&T) through E-learning, Middle East University (MEU) has adopted Learning Management Services (LMS) through Blackboard. The university has three types of L&T methods; full online, Blended and Supportive. This research studies the concept, scope and dimensions of interoperability (InT) of E-Learning in MEU then the connection and interdependence between with quality development. In this paper we have described the support and the importance of finest standards and specifications for the objectives of InT of E-Learning and quality development in MEU. The research is based principally on secondary data observed from MEU E-Learning deanship. Also sample of 20 E-Learning experts at MEU were given closed ended as well as semi closed questionnaires for evaluating the assurance of InT of E-Learning and quality development. These experts are mainly certified online facilitators and admin staff. Results provide the verification of application and presence of InT of E-Learning and assured the quality development process in MEU.

  • With the development of science and technology, various research on ship collision avoidance has also developed rapidly. The research and development of ship collision avoidance technology has also received high attention from many researchers. This paper proposes a new collision avoidance algorithm for ships based on the artificial force field collision avoidance method. Using the simulation platform, the simulation results show that ships can successfully avoid collision in open water under single ship and multi ship situations, and the research results are relatively ideal.

온라인 분할 투자 증권화 플랫폼 사례 연구 (A Case Study on the Online Fractional Investment Securitization Platform)

  • 정보통신 기술의 발달로 나타난 온라인 플랫폼 기술과 자산 유동화 파생 상품의 새로운 투자 기법의 융합으로 온라인 소유권 분할 투자 플랫폼이 출현하게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 온라인 소유권 분할 투자 플랫폼 사업의 개념과 선행 연구, 사업화 모델과 서비스 프로세스, 시장 현황, 그리고 현안 논의 사항과 대안을 제시하였다. 최근 증권선물위원회의 분할 소유권에 대한 증권성 여부 판단은 온라인 분할 소유권 증권화 플랫폼 사업자의 안정적 사업 지속 가능성에 중요한 지침이 되고 있으나, 이에 대한 현황과 사례 분석에 따른 학술적 연구가 필요하다. 구체적인 시장 현안을 파악하기 위하여, 음악 저작권을 대상으로 한 "뮤직카우", 미술품을 기반으로 한 "테사", 실물 부동산을 대상 물품으로 하는 "카사", 실물 자산을 기초 자산으로 하는 "피스" 및 한우 출하 수익금을 대상으로 한 "뱅카우"의 대표적인 온라인 분할 투자 증권화 플랫폼 비즈니스의 사례를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 사례 분석을 통하여, 온라인 분할 투자 플랫폼의 기본 자산 물건에 따른 사업화 모델의 특징을 비교하여 제시하였다. 대다수의 사업화 모델들이 증권성이 있다고 판단되고 있어 자본시장법의 규정을 준수해야 하거나 혁신금융서비스의 대상으로 인정받아야 하는 상황이다. 실무적 관점에서 온라인 분할 소유권 증권화 플랫폼 사업자가 고려해야 하는 다양한 개선 방향을 제시하였다는 점과 투자자 보호를 위한 제도적 고려 사항을 정리하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

6축 산업용 로봇 팔과 3D 게임 엔진을 결합한 뉴 미디어 콘텐츠 운용 플랫폼 (New Media Content Platform using 6 - DOF Industrial Robot and 3D Game Engine)

  • Recently, development of robot technology has been actively investigated that industrial robots are used in various other fields. However, the interface of the industrial robot is limited to the planned and manipulated path according to the target point and reaching time of the robot arm. Thus, it is not easy to create or change the various paths of the robot arm in other applications, and it is not easy to control the robot so that the robot arm passes the specific point precisely at the desired time during the course of the path. In order to overcome these limitations, this paper proposes a new-media content management platform that can manipulate 6 DOF industrial robot arm using 3D game engine. In this platform, the user can directly generate the motion of the robot arm in the UI based on the 3D game engine, and can drive the robot in real time with the generated motion. The proposed platform was verified using 3D game engine Unity3D and KUKA KR-120 robot.
