Analysis of Planocentric Gear

  • The planocentric gear, known as wobble mechanism, has been used for speed reducing mechanism as an ingenious mechanism. The modem application can be found in the backrest adjusting mechanism of a vehicle reclinable seat, fluid pumps and aircraft hoist and winches. Higher speed reduction ratios, high load capacity, lower weight, and compactness are the main advantages of this gear. This paper presents velocity and static force analysis to investigate the friction lock of the planocentric gear. The rectilinear tooth profile is used to maximize the speed reduction ratio. The equivalent linkage system is used for the analysis of instantaneous motion. As the results, the transmission efficiency of the planocentric gear is found and the friction lock of the system is determined for the friction coefficients of journals. A numerical example that illustrates the developed analysis is presented.

  • Planocentric gears 장치에서 내치차에 pin type의 치형을 사용하고 휠의 치형을 원호로 구성하였을 경우 치의 접촉특성을 탄성유역학적 윤활이론을 도입하여 해석 하였다. 윤활 특성을 개선하기 위하여 물림 위치(meshing position)에 의거한 설계 방법과 치의 모서리 부분 형상을 만곡되게 하는 치형 설계 방법을 제시하고 기존 설계에 의한 장치와 수치적으로 특성을 비교 하였다.

  • A planocentric torque driver comprises a stationary internal gear with the teeth of a circular concave profile and an external gear of an epitrochoid curve. The contact mechanism of the teeth is examined and analyzed by means of computer simulation. Analyses of load variation on the tooth and strength of appliance is carried out. And the output device is examined. Finally, the design of a 59:1 reduction ratio torque driver is presented.

  • In this paper, noise sources of a planocentric gear reducer are identified by experimental mehod. This study consider a reduction method of a noise/vibration about the gear, axle, bearing and others. Namely, the purpose of this study is to reduce a noise/vibration for a stability of the total system. Form the data to be measured through an experimental method, the problems of the gear, axle, bearing and others are examined closely, and the reducer is derived the model to be the engineering. The mechanism of the problem occurrence is examined through a parametric research about an each influence factor(Load). Lastly, the results of this study propose the model to be improved.

산업용 직각형 감속기의 소음 저감에 대한 연구 (A Study on Noise Reduction for an Industrial Right-angled Reducer)

  • In this study, noise sources of a reducer which is combined a spiral bevel gear and a planocentric gear are identified by experimental method and the noise was reduced by the structure modification of the reducer. In order to identify the noise sources, noise and vibration signals were measured by microphone and accelerometer and these signals were analyzed with waterfall plot. In addition, the frequency response functions were obtained to prove the noise and vibration sources. It was found that the resonance was generated by the gear mesh frequencies and natural frequency of the reducer. The noise of the reducer could be reduced by structure modification.

  • 관절 로보트를 위시한 각종 매니퓨레이터 장치의 관절 구동부는 모터와 감속기의 조합으로 구성되어 있다. 최근에는 감속기를 내재하지 않는, 직접구동 방식이 연구중이지만 모터는 고속회전율 시키는 것이 동력밀도가 크기 때문에 대부분 감속기를 사용하여 회전속도를 감속하고 토오크를 증대하여 매니퓨레이터를 구동시키고 있다. 본 연구에서는 내접 유성식 감속기의 국산화를 도모하기 위하여 원통형 핀을 내치차 치형으로 사용한 내접 유성식 감속기의 설계 기술을 개발하였다. 치형 수정계수를 도입하여 수정계수 변화에 대한 치형의 변화와 접촉 하중 및 응력의 변화를 검토하고 로오크 전달시 기구에 작용되는 하중을 해석하여 내접 유성식 감속기의 설계 기법을 제시하였다.
