The purpose of this study is to suggest the visual landscape plan for Shinan province with ecological landscape resources, which is comprised of more than 1,000 islands. The plan was done by the order of image plan, landscape structure plan and detained landscape plan. The image of Shinan province was elicited as 'nature', 'complexity' and 'connectivity', by the aspects of planning, cognitive and strategic sides. The landscape zones are planned, such as leisure zone, rural & marine ecological zone and marine tourism zone, and the landscape axes are also set, such as marine axis, ecological axis and circular axis. Especially to conserve the ecological resources, some conservation zones are proposed and design guidelines for each landscape type are also provided, which are not commonly included in the urban landscape plan. Consequently, the landscape plan and ecological environmental plan were complementary to each other. In the detailed landscape plan, more specific plans and design guidelines are suggested for coastal scenery, village and forest scenery, historical and cultural landscape management and promotion. To improve the visual landscape in terms of planning and administrative aspects, the visual landscape plan has become increasingly important for the local governments. The establishment of visual landscape plan may hopefully help to make Shinan province more beautiful and attractive. The landscape plan and ecological environment plan should be integrated, and the further discussion and research are necessary.
The aim of this study is to identify the floor plan types of folk houses or traditional vernacular dwellings found in Nagan Folk Village located in Joellanamdo province. Examining the floor plans appeared among 36 vernacular folk houses presumably built in the 19th century in the village by means of the changes in the number of bays of Anche, the mail block of the house, the study was also able to construct a spatial compositional process of floor plan development. The floor plan examination revealed that the basic floor plan type in Nagan folk housing was '一' shape, a typical southern dwelling based on the existing classification. This basic type is consisted of three bays or rooms: Jeongji (kitchen), Anbang (large room), and Jageunbang (small room). New spaces or rooms are added to this three room house to expand the house as the residential functions become more complex, such as more living and storage spaces. The expansion appears to have two direction. On the one hand, it has been taken place by inserting Marea, an open wooden floor living space between Anbang and Jageunbang to meet the extended living demand. On the other, Jeongjibang, a second kitchen/storage has been attached to Jeongji outward for extra cooking and storage. This two-way expansion shows the trend of symmetric expansion between cooking, storing space and dwelling space. It can be implied that the arrangement of house rooms has been structurally formulated and shared by the farmer-builders in the 19th century in Nagan village who appeared to be influenced by fixed images for housing.
Even though there have been greate changes in the types and contents of the housing plan in Korea since the Modem age, it seems that the identity of traditional dwelling culture is still remains within it. The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics and features in the development of the 'Public Standard' Housing Unit Plan by comparing the differences and similarities in unit plans in housings built on Japanese occupation period and those built after the period. From the study, we can conclude as follows: 1. The public standard housing unit plans on both periods have shown the common features in the composition of their physical forms in the way that the front-row area still remains the traditional housing culture and the rear-row area reflects the desires of the modem lives. The structure of the dual-row unit plan appeared in the public standard housing plan was caused by the cultural acculturation in Japanese occupation period. 2. The public standard housing unit plans, however, show the differences in the contents and meaning in units plans with the them of the Japanese housing because of the cultural differences. These differences took placed autonomously through the change of housing plans in the modern time, and have the common features such that 1) the changes in the Maru-centered plan type differ in composition from the inner-corridor plan type used Japanese housing, and 2) the composition of the open-inner spaces in the double-row housing plan reflects the single-row outer open space In the traditional housing. All of these cultural progresses in the public standard housing unit plans was took place as the result of the inner-oriented and notional circulations derived from the modernity. However, the transformed unit plans still contains the identity derived from the variation of the traditional Korean building elements such as Maru and Ondol. In other words, those are the Maru-centered and composed housing plans with juxtaposition of the inner block and the outer block. As the conclusion, though the public standard dwelling unit plan has the similarity in the physical form, it is different in the cultural Identity and meaning from the public standard plans before the independence from the Japan occupation.
This study is mentioning about basic information and guide related block types, through a comparison and an analysis of floor types which is shown as function in block types and public interior spaces. For the range of this survey, it is defind in the beginning of 1970' s to the end of 1990' s which was rapidly developed in hotel industry and also is chosen by 12 places in the first class hotels. On the purpose of this study is written by designing the basic information of architectures, new hotels which are built and managed in urban, refer to the survey and analysis of the characteristic in hotel. The following is conclusion by based on pre-survey of the analysis of a plan and a site in these hotels. First, as a result of analysis in block type, there are equally distributed in three types (in-type, combination type, close-type), except a atrium type exception, in 12 hotels(100%). Second, as a result of analysis of function type in public interior space, Con-course type is consist of 7(58%), Hall type is 5(42%) in the type of room in public interior space, in 12 hotels(100%). Third, the type in lobby on space plan are equally shown by the type of lobby in center(4PL.), of lounge in center(4PL.), and a compromising type(4PL.).
This study focuses on the architectural changes of stele pavilion at the royal tombs of Joseon Dynasty. Throughout the survey on overall forty two stele pavilions, they were classified into basic type, expanded type, and 4-side corridor type. Basic type was usually used for general small stela, while expanded type was for extraordinarily large ones. 4-side corridor type, however, turned out to be used for both small and large stela and has appeared only during King Gojong period(高宗年間, 1863-1907). When it was first applied at Geonwolleung(健元陵) in 1870s, the purpose of 4-side corridor type seemed to stabilize the enlarged structure due to the size of the larger stele. Later, 4-side corridor type was repeated for small stela at Hongneung(洪陵) and Yureung(裕陵) in 1898 and 1904 respectively, to express higher dignity of Daehan Empire(大韓帝國). This type of plan continued to other pavilions in the center of Seoul such as Kinyeombijeon(紀念碑殿) and Seokgojeon(石鼓殿) that were built in 1903 with sophisticated proportion and multiple brackets. This architectural change implies that stele pavilion itself has become more significant than stele inside.
The objective of this study is to prepare the effective management plan of environmental noise with a noise map, and the guideline on the management plan of environmental noise was suggested through the review of existing application examples. The management plan of environmental noise with a noise map includes the practical contents in the stages of subdivision of management areas, establishment of reduction measures, opinion collection, post investigation, and reformulation of management plan. First, the classification of management regions is performed considering the excess degree of noise standard and the facility type in the phase of subdivision of management areas. Second, the optimal management plan is established through the investigation of regional characteristics and various noise reduction measures in the phase of establishment of reduction measures, which includes the examination of noise reduction effects with a noise map and the budget planning with the costing of noise reduction measures. Third, the opinion survey with a local resident and a expert is carried out in order to prove the validity of the management plan in the phase of opinion collection, and the management plan is modified with gathered opinions. Fourth, the post examination plan with noise measurement is performed in order to verify the real effect of noise reduction measures according to the management plan in the phase of post investigation. Finally, the amendment of the management plan as well as the improvement of a noise map is carried out at a regular cycle in the phase of reformulation of management plan.

Purpose: The aim of this paper is to reduce the stress and the disturbance occur in selective action of patient. This article will also help us to control spreading and reduce the order and bacteria produced by leprosy disease among the lepers. This will be achieved with the help of several variables and these variables help us on health benefits is 5S (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) i.e. ratio of sectional morphology, lessor 90 degree angles, day light, universal design building and maximum ventilation. The replies from the questionnaire were collected based on varying levels of satisfaction and gloominess on the scale of 1-10. Methods: The multi-layer methodological framework for maximising the healing environment obtained from the observation of schemes and parameters of ANOVA: (Analysis Of Variance between five deciding factors) are. Firstly applied for the calculation of the patient's satisfaction for U.V light from sun on ECOTECT simulation, secondly the number of $90^{\circ}$ angle, along the corridors. Thirdly understanding the ways to represent people's perceptual structures and way finding with Space Syntax software. Fourthly the ratio of depth to height of the building typology and finally interviewing the subjects describing their special experiences based on scale value. The focus of this testing of human subjects was to receive data for the existence of image scheme in way-finding and to identify the mechanisms by which sun light impacts human (lepers) health. Results: AMPVA studies concluded that there is similarity between I and O plan as well as L and H plan whereas U plan was difference among the five selected architectural shapes. Implications: The purpose of this research is to show the effects of the I-type, L-type, C-type, U-type and O-type plan design, and to analyse the morphology for EBD (Evidence-Based Design) healing environment which is a universal design for Munghopir Karachi, in Pakistan.

As there are the elderly who have difficulty in evacuating themselves, it is necessary to develop architectural and institutional planning for nursing homes that can minimize disaster damage. The purpose of this study was to suggest the improvement plan by grasping the current status of nursing homes on planning aspects such as floor plan type, spatial layout, and evacuation route through 14 case studies in Cheongju city in terms of disaster safety. The results of this study were as follows; the most common plan type was the grouped-corridor type difficulty in securing evacuation routes. The circulation corridor type is need to be considered because it is possible not only to secure evacuation and nursing routes, but also to create a hanging around corridor for the elderly with dementia. Second, if there is a risk of flooding due to the location, the living room should be placed on the 2nd floor or more. In particular, a kitchen should be placed not adjacent to the entrance and the vertical evacuation route. Third, the horizontal evacuation route should be arranged differently depending on the floor plan type. For vertical evacuation routes, it is necessary to install outdoor stairs or ramps considering the evacuation characteristics of the elderly. In addition, the institutional aspects should be considered to ensure the safety of disasters.
This study was conducted on the premise that plan types of the public residential houses proposed after the 1945 implicatively showed the developing process of the modern housing. The formal characteristics created through the developing process were analyzed in Micro-Historically. Moreover, by providing a new viewpoint on the changes of the residential houses that occurred around 1945, we tried to provide the fundamental research background for the research on the developing processes of the future housing cultures. The research pursued mainly on the major spaces that became the modern change indices of housing plan changes from the traditional housings in 1940s to the modern housings such as the master bedrooms(An-Bang), kitchen, the main floored-space(Maru), and the secondary bedroom (Kune-Bang). The major experimental subjects are the 87 public residential plan types designed and supplied by the Korea Housing Cooperation in between 1945 and 1970. The study synthesized the developing process of the public residential houses from the traditional residential houses in 1940s through modern situation and intrusion of foreign housing cultures. Following results were derived from the study: First, various and experimental housing plan types had been proposed as public residential houses since 1945. Among them, the plan having the main floored-space(Maru) were the representative type of public residential houses and various series of houses were constructed based on this type. Second, the main floored-space(Maru) type had continued building connection order of the R-M-R that were used in the traditional houses. On the other hand, with decomposition of connecting ring between the main floored-space(Maru) and the kitchen, rationalization of women circulations and introduction of family-centered spaces had been resolved the demands of modern society. It had greate effect on settlement of the current double-row Maru plan type. Third, in Korea most of plan types for the public residential houses were proposed in between 1945 and 1965. Forth, the location of kitchen and relation between Maru and the master bedroom were arranged visually on the corner and center of the rear row with the micro change characteristics of the public residential houses. In this process, the front row was similar with traditional residential houses but the rear row was differentiated and developed with expansion of Maru and Ondol rooms, increase of closet spaces, and introduction of kitchen that divided spaces for sleeping and eating.
