Many researches related to STEAM education have been actively conducted for developing elementary and secondary school students' comprehensive and logical thinking ability in relation to creativity education in Korea. Each sub factor of STEAM education requires creative thinking with the ability to be merged together to solve problems as integrated or combined forms in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Also, these STEAM activities and experiences should be carried out at various places outside the classroom in school. Although various educational programs to enhance mathematical creativity have been emphasized for elementary and secondary school students, recent tendency to focus on classroom learning in the school makes it difficult to develop creative thinking ability of students. This research is mainly based on the result of the project "Development and Administration of STEAM Outreach Program in 2016" supported by KOFAC(Korea Foundation for the Achievement of Science & Creativity). The purpose of this research is to develop a STEAM outreach program including students' activity books, teachers' manuals and administration manual that can maximize STEAM-related interest of students, and to provide a chance for elementary and secondary school students to experience creative thinking based on sub factors of STEAM. The STEAM competency total score and the perception of convergence education were significantly increased for all students participating this program, but some sub factors showed different result by school levels. The STEAM outreach program developed by this study is designed to emphasize STEAM education especially 'based on' mathematics in order to provide students with the opportunity to experience more interest in the field of mathematics and will be able to provide an interesting creative STEAM outreach program that utilizes a variety of activities which, we expect, would help students to consider their career in the future.
Digital image forgery is becoming a topic of great interest with regard to honesty in imaging. We can often see forged digital images in a variety of places, such as the internet, and magazines, and in images used in political ads, etc. These can reduce the reliability and factual basis of the information contained in image. Therefore, objectivity is needed to determine if the image is forged so as to prevent confusion in the viewing public. Most digital forgeries consist of image resizing, rotating including the following interpolations. To find evidence of interpolation in forged images, this paper proposes a new method for detecting digital image forgery using general interpolation factors analyzed through re-interpolation algorithm of the forged images in order to determine the differences in the patterns. Through the re-interpolation algorithm we could detect the forged region and filtering region used image retouching included to interpolation.
The Korean wave refers to the spread of Korean popular culture from China to all over the world. The Korean wave has been improving the national image and creating a new brand value for Korea as a symbolic soft power. Its spread has been operating as a kind of energy that is fueling national competition. The Korean wave creates a new type of tour and increases tourists' intention to visit special places revealed indirectly through mass media. People can vary highly in terms of awareness, attitude and behavioral pattern according to the degree of care for and interest in something. This is called involvement. Three hypotheses were established to study the effect of the Korean wave in terms of involvement. First of all, it confirms whether the Korean wave involvement affects national image and image as a tourist destination. Second, it confirms whether national image affects Korea's image as a tourist destination. Third, it confirms whether the Korean wave involvement affects intention to visit Korea. The certification results of these hypotheses confirm that the Korean wave affects national image, Korea's image as a tourist destination, and intention to visit Korea. The national image also partly affects its image as a tourist destination.

As users generate lots of contents independently of time and places anytime and anywhere together with a rapid development of mobile wireless communication technologies and an explosive dissemination of smart devices, content centric networking (CCN) has emerged as a new networking architecture. However, as CCN is based on one to one message exchanges, it is not appropriate for ad hoc network environment that has frequent network topology changes, which results in high control overhead and low transmission throughput. So, this paper proposes the new content sharing methods using group interest messages in CCN ad hoc environment. It is shown from the simulation that the proposed method can provide low control overhead and high transmission throughput.

GIS-based web map service is all the more accessible to the public. Among others, location query services are most frequently utilized, which are currently restricted to only one keyword search. Although there increases the demand for the service for querying multiple keywords corresponding to sequential activities(banking, having lunch, watching movie, and other activities) in various locations POI, such service is yet to be provided. The objective of the paper is to develop the k-IPS algorithm for quickly and accurately querying multiple POIs that internet users input and locating the search outcomes on a web map. The algorithm is developed by utilizing hierarchical tree structure of $R^*$-tree indexing technique to produce overlapped geometric regions. By using recursive $R^*$-tree index based spatial join process, the performance of the current spatial join operation was improved. The performance of the algorithm is tested by applying 2, 3, and 4 multiple POIs for spatial query selected from 159 keyword set. About 90% of the test outcomes are produced within 0.1 second. The algorithm proposed in this paper is expected to be utilized for providing a variety of location-based query services, of which demand increases to conveniently support for citizens' daily activities.

There is a growing interest in "smart grid" technology, especially after the government recently announced "low-carbon green-growth industry" project. A smart grid uses "smart meters", which can be deployed in any power-consuming places like homes and factories. It has been shown that smart meters have several security weaknesses. There is, however, no protection profile available for smart meters, which means that safety with using them is not guaranteed at all. This paper analyzes vulnerabilities of smart meters and the relevant attack methods, thereby deriving the security functions and requirements for smart meters. Finally, we propose a protection profile based on Common Criterion v3.l for smart meters.
The purpose of this research is to develop elements of place branding and correspondent evaluation indicators for place brand strategy making, analysis and its evaluation. First, I criticise that previous research employed unclear and limited evaluation elements. I then suggest an plausible evaluation system and evaluation indicators through a theoretical proof for place branding under the concept of place-based value. Interviews with specialists for case evaluations were carried out in an effort to approve the plausibility of this suggested evaluation system. As an extension, a direction is suggested for a general and effective place branding that would satisfy a diversity of places, which could hopefully contributes for the development of future city brand and marketing evaluation criteria. Creating a specialized place brand requires precise understanding and evaluation on the place characteristics that should directly contribute to the strategy making based on the situatedness suggested by the place which meets an appropriate place branding category. In addition, a successful place branding requires active and effective communication among the participating members of interest and sustainable maintenance systems.
Interest in smart cities is growing; information and communication technology, urban planning, urban economy development, health, and many other areas are intertwined within smart city research and practice. The definition of smart city is evolving, and its vagueness is sometimes confusing. This review of the smart city literature tries to capture the big picture of this big idea. This review places into context work done since 2016, as earlier work is well reviewed in Albino (2015) and Cochia (2014). First is a review of the various smart city definitions. Second, an inventory of terms related to or subsumed by the smart city label are presented. Third, outcomes of indexes created to measure a city's smartness are presented. Fourth, the taxonomies used to organize the disparate content that falls under the smart city umbrella are discussed. Fifth, the most recent literature associated with six commonly recognized subgenres, namely smart economy, smart governance, smart living, smart people, smart environment, and smart mobility are reviewed. Sixth, important critiques of the smart city idea are presented.

Despite the rapid development in the construction industry due to the changing new technologies, many projects still fail to meet target deadlines. Shortage in manpower and skilled laborers is one of the main reasons for such delays. Markets with high economic growth and economic expansion (such as Gulf Countries in the Middle East) may have pronounced labor the shortages. Labor subcontracting practices are used sometimes to increase production rates and meet project deadlines. This paper explains and analyses labor subcontracting practices currently being used in many places around the world (and especially in the Gulf Countries) and in particular defines a maximum overtime rate for laborers in the laborer-subcontracting method ensuring that the contractor gains both the time saved during overtime and also reduces the cost per unit produced. The mathematical model used formalizes a closed-form equation for overtime pay in similar situations and as such can be applicable worldwide. Data was collected from representative projects that employed such practices from various trades. Validation of the model and formula has been tested successfully by analyzing historic data. The results prove that contractors often do not reach the optimum use of their practices resulting in a higher cost per unit. The presented model and the analysis should be of interest to many contractors currently involved in the practice or considering its use and to those who wish to find new methods that would help in eliminating as much wastes as possible by allocating their resources in the most efficient way.

VIRTUAL REALITY is a technology that enables users to experience environments that are difficult to experience, such as games, medical care, defense, and manufacturing industries. In this study, we propose the development of contents that can utilize the virtual reality technology to taste the destinations to travel in advance and to select the places to travel. Generally, when you decide on a destination, use the website or booklet to search for information about the destination. In recent years, applications that recommend travel destinations have also been developed and utilized. However, if information about travel destinations is implemented as a virtual reality, it will be possible to obtain more reliable and realistic information. Like Google Maps VR, you can show the globe as a whole, zoom in or out, and click on a keyword to recommend a tourist destination that matches the keyword. It uses internet browsing cookies to automatically display tourist attractions according to user's interest.
