  • This paper presents the Mixed H2/H$\infty$ controller design method with the regional pole placements for underwater vehicle. Since the small and light underwater vehicle is sensitive to disturbances and parameter uncertainties, we design the controller which guarantees robustness against time-delays, parameter uncertainties and disturbances. The LMI(linear matrix inequality) formulations for pole placements in specific regions and H2 and H$\infty$ performances are reviewed. The desired controller can be obtained by solving these LMIs.

아파트 보조부엌의 유형별 개조특성에 관한 연구 (The Remodeling Characteristics of Various Types of Secondary Kitchen in Apartment House)

  • The study analyzes the remodeling characteristics of the four different types of secondary kitchens in apartment house based on their floor plans. The secondary kitchens are categorized into side placement, back placement, back placement with extensions on both sides, and back placement with an extension on a single side. The twelve apartment complexes in Ulsan were selected so that they may all consist each of the four types, and answered the survey. The classified traits of secondary kitchen were examined based on the characteristics of floor plan and remodeling. Side placement and back placement with extensions on both sides mostly used glass hinged doors. Back placement and back placement with a single side extension used glass sliding doors. It was found that the majority of the floor materials consisted of both wood and tiles, except for side placements, where only tiles were used. The sizes of the back placements with both and single side extensions were the largest. The side and back placements were rarely renovated, however, back placements with both and single side extensions went through massive remodeling.

  • 독립된 세 개 이상의 처리 간에 차이 유무를 검정하는 비모수적 방법에는 Kruskal과 Wallis (1952)가 제안한 검정법이 있다. 세 개 이상의 다른 모집단으로부터 결합된 표본관측 값들의 순위를 이용한 검정기법이다. 본 논문에서는 Chung과 Kim (2007)이 제안한 결합위치 방법을 확장하여 일원배치모형에서 새로운 방법을 제안하였다. 또한 모의실험(Monte Calro simulation study)를 통하여 기존의 검정법과 제안한 방법의 검정력을 비교하였다.

  • Identification of the plants is not easy task especially in the fields of process control. From this point of view, Kitamori developed a method of control system design based on partial knowledge about controlled processes. However, it is difficult to control the oscillatory plant by kitamori's method. In this paper, we develope a method of partial model matching control system design, which have desirable pole-placements in order to improve the above defects. Design examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the method.

  • We discussed a comparison of distribution-free two-sample procedures based on placements or ranks. Iterative asymptotic distribution of both two-sample procedures is studies and small sample Monte Carlo simulation results are presented. Also, we proposed the Hodges-Lehmann type location estimator based on linear placement statistics.

비열등성 시험에서 위치 방법에 기초한 표본 수 결정 (Sample size determination based on placements for non-inferiority trials)

  • 임상시험에서 적당한 크기의 표본 수 결정은 통계적으로 유의한 연구결과의 도출과 연구수행의 효율적인 비용을 산출하기 위해서 중요한 사항 중의 하나이다. 기존의 비열등성 시험에서 표본 수 계산방법에는 t 검정법을 이용한 모수적 방법이 있고, Wilcoxon 순위합 검정을 이용하여 Wang 등 (2003)이 제안한 표본 수 계산방법을 Kim과 Kim (2007)이 비열등성 시험에 확장시켜 적용하여 제시한 비모수적 방법이 있다. 본 논문에서는 Orban과 Wolfe (1982)가 제안한 선형위치통계량의 검정법에 Kim (1994)이 계산한 검정력의 결과를 이용한 표본 수 계산 방법을 제안하고, 그에 따른 표본 수 계산결과를 기존에 제시된 표본 수 계산 결과와 비교하였다. 그 결과 기존의 방법들보다 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법으로 계산한 경우의 표본 수가 가장 작게 나왔다. 따라서 모집단에 대해서 구체적인 분포함수를 가정하기 힘든 경우 모수적 방법을 이용하게 되면 검정력이 떨어지거나 유의수준을 제어하지 못하는 문제점을 보완하고, 모수적 방법에 비해 표본 수가 크게 나와 시간이나 비용 면에서 효율적이지 않았던 Wilcoxon 순위합 검정을 이용한 방법의 단점을 보완할 수 있는 방법으로 본 논문에서 제시한 위치 (placement)를 이용한 표본 수 계산이 이용될 수 있다.

Optimal sensor placements for system identification of concrete arch dams

  • This paper investigates the optimal sensor placements and capabilities of this procedure for dynamic characteristics identification of arch dams. For this purpose, a prototype arch dam is constructed in laboratory conditions. Berke arch dam located on the Ceyhan River in city of Osmaniye is one of the highest arch dam constructed in Turkey is selected for field verification. The ambient vibration tests are conducted using initial candidate sensor locations at the beginning of the study. Enhanced Frequency Domain Decomposition and Stochastic Subspace Identification methods are used to extract experimental dynamic characteristics. Then, measurements are repeated according to optimal sensor locations of the dams. These locations are specified using the Effective Independence Method. To determine the optimal sensor locations, the target mode shape matrices which are obtained from ambient vibration tests of the selected dam with a large number of accelerometers are used. The dynamic characteristics obtained from each ambient vibrations tests are compared with each other. It is concluded that the dynamic characteristics obtained from initial measurements and those obtained from a limited number of sensors are compatible with each other. This situation indicates that optimal sensor placements determined by the Effective Independence Method are useful for dynamic characteristics identification of arch dams.
