Photolithography 를 이용한 micro-dimple 크기에 따른 미끄럼 마찰거동 (The effect of size on friction property of micro-dimple surface to fabricate by photolithography)

  • The aim of this paper is to investigate the effect of micro-dimple size on reduction friction and to understand the potential of friction reduction through micro-scale dimple to fabricate by photolithography on pin-on-disk test using flat-on-flat contact geometry. It was verify that the friction property with respect to the same pitch has been influence on the size of dimple under lubricated sliding contact. Also, we can recognize from Stribeck curve that the friction property has a connection with the size of dimple. It can explain a relationship between the friction coefficient and a dimensionless parameter for lubrication condition. The friction property has been an effect on the size of surface texture on reduction friction, not only because the density of dimple, but also because the ratio of diameter/pitch. This ratio of approximately 0.5 is recommend under the tested friction condition. It suggested that the ratio of d/p is an important parameter for surface texture design.

  • In this paper, we described the laboratory layout of the optical CT in connection with the measurement of large current for the GIS. The aim of this study is the development and application of optical CT based on Faraday effect. It was used He-Ne laser for light source (633nm) and was used PIN-Photodiode for light receiver. The laser source passes through optical fiber in single mode. We used the polarizer to polarize the light source and the beam splitter to divide the output light, and the optical fiber is connected for the measuring the angle polarized in the magnetic field.

Device fitting이 고려된 PLD 설계용 Tool 개발 (The development of a tool for PLD Design with device fitting)

  • This paper describes a development of the PLD design tool in considering with a device fitting. To design digital circuit with PLDs, several steps in the developed PLD design tool are needed such as Boolean description step, pin map step, FUSE map and JEDEC steps ... etc. Especially, we have considered the device fitting to design large digital circuits with PLDs developed the device fitting algorithms based on the PLD device fitting and compared with the results of a another PLD design tool(PALASM). Also, we have proved that the developed PLD design tool is successfully implemented by the connection with a PLD writer(ALL-07), in the case of design digital circuits.

Member capacity of columns with semi-rigid end conditions in Oktalok space frames

  • The Oktalok nodal connection system is an aesthetic and efficient system. It has been widely used throughout Australia. The paper will briefly introduce the concept and application of the Oktalok nodal system. The existing design method is based on the assumption that the joints are pin-ended, i.e., the rotational stiffness of the joints is zero. However the ultimate capacity of the frame may increase significantly depending on the rotational stiffness of the joints. Stiffness tests and finite element simulations were carried out to determine the rotational stiffness of the Oktalok joints. Column buckling tests and non-linear finite element analyses were performed to determine the member capacity of columns with semi-rigid end conditions. A simple formulae for the effective length factor of column buckling is derived based on the above experimental and theoretical investigations.

  • Hydraulic excavator in digging at the construction machinery is a widely used mechanical device. Excavator attachments are taken with structural load and fatigue during digging under applied reaction. Fatigue analysis is done at joint pin between bucket and arm of front attachment at excavator under the force of hydraulic cylinder in operation. It is analyzed how load can be supported at the lower driving body applied on the bucket. In this study, the deformation of arm and the fatigue result are examined when reaction force is applied on the attachment of excavator.

Infilled frames: developments in the evaluation of cyclic behaviour under lateral loads

  • In order to consider the modified seismic response of framed structures in the presence of masonry infills, proper models have to be formulated. Because of the complexity of the problem, a careful definition of an equivalent diagonal pin-jointed strut, able to represent the horizontal force-interstorey displacement cyclic law of the actual infill, may be a solution. In this connection the present paper, continuing a previous work in which a generalised criterion for the determination of the ideal cross-section of the equivalent strut was formulated, analizes some models known in literature for the prediction of the lateral cyclic behaviour discussing their field of validity. As a support of the discussion, the results of an experimental investigation involving single story-single bay infilled reinforced concrete. Frames under vertical and lateral loads with different kind of infill (actually not yet so much investigated) are presented. Finally, an improvement of a model known in the literature is proposed, taking the results of the experimental tests before mentioned into account.

간극이 있는 링크기구의 동특성 (Dynamic Characteristics of Link Mechanism with Clearance)

  • The existence of clearance at the link joint of a machine is inevitable for assembly and mobility. During the cyclic operation of a machine, rapid changes of the direction and magnitude of connection forces cause momentary loss of contact between the pin and the bushing at the link joint. Contact loss at the clearance joint gives rise to undesirable impact. The impulsive force affects on the performance of the machine, and leads to excessive vibration, noise and faster wear in the connecitons. In this paper, experiment and theoretical analysis were carried out for the variation of crank speed and clearance size. The link mechanism employed in this investigation was newly designed to check the effects of parameter changes on the occurrence of contact loss and on the magnitude of the impact force. The contact loss and impact position were calculated with various driving conditions.

  • The use of temporary container classrooms has increased in recent years due to the development of the construction industry and renovation or rehabilitation of schools. Therefore, various problems, such as errors during assembling, design and insulation issues, and noise problems, have surfaced during the construction of temporary container classrooms. This study analyzes the causes of assembly errors during the manufacturing and installation processes to improve the quality of temporary container classrooms. Assembly errors are caused by non-level planes and inaccurate cutting during the manufacturing process. In the installation process, poor leveling is a major factor that causes errors during the assembly of temporary container classrooms. These causes result in uneven horizontal or vertical planes and uneven height. To solve these problems, quality improvement measures, such as pin connection, jig, joint coupling, and surface plates are proposed in this study.

  • 블록정합 움직임추정 알고리즘은 매우 많은 양의 계산 능력을 요구하고 현재 많은고속 알고리즘이 제안되었다. 기존의 움직임 추정에 대한 블록정합 알고리즘은 탐색 블록 데이터의 비 지역화로 인한 VLSI 규모가 커지는 문제와 입력데이터를 매번 입력해야 하는재 사용문제에 대한 단점을 가지고 있었다. 본 논문은 입출력 핀 수의 증가를 최대한 억제하면서 입력데이터의 재사용을 통한 VLSI 규모를 최소화 할 수 있는 고속 시스토릭 어레이를 설계하였다. 제안된 시스토릭 어레이는 탐색 블럭의 입력데이터를 반복적으로 재 사용하여 메모리 접근시간을 최소화시키고 알고리즘의 병렬성을 증가시켜 전체 처리요소의 연결이 시간적 공간적으로 지역화 되어 문제크기의 증가에 대한 시간적인 영향을 받지 않는 문제 독립적인 형태가 된다. 설계된 시스토릭 어레이는 이동벡터의 계산 복잡도가 O(N6)에서 O(N3)로 크게 향상되었으며 입촐력 핀의 수는O(N)을 가진다.

프리캐스트 콘크리트 계단 접합부의 접합방식에 따른 성능평가 (Performance Evaluation of the Stair Joints Constructed with Partial Precast Concrete System)

  • 부분 프리캐스트 콘크리트 부재를 계단실에 적용할 때 현장타설이나 PC공법에 비해 시간 및 비용을 절감할 수 있다. 부분 프리캐스트 계단 부재는 각 부재의 접합방식에 따라 피난용도로 사용되는 계단실의 성능이 매우 달라질 수 있으므로 계단 접합부의 종류에 따른 성능평가를 실험적 연구를 통해 알아보고자 하였다. 현장타설되는 일체형 접합부는 계단참 끝단에 응력이 집중되어 많은 보강이 필요하고, PC공법에서 사용되는 핀접합부는 경사계단의 중앙부에 최대응력이 발생되며, 접합부의 휨성능을 무시하기 때문에 철근 배근량이 증가할 뿐만 아니라 사용성이 현저히 떨어지게 된다. 이러한 단점을 보완한 볼트형 반강접 접합부는 일체형에 가까운 내력을 보유하였으며, 연성비는 일체형에 비해 약 0.7배, 핀접합형에 비해 약 2.8배의 성능을 가져 지진하중 등의 횡하중에 대한 성능도 뛰어남을 알 수 있었다. Eurocode 접합부 분류기준에서는 semi rigid-full strength에 속하는 반강접합으로 볼 수 있고, 강성감소율 40%를 적용한 모델을 이용하여 거동을 예측할 수 있다.
