Development of Machine Vision System and Dimensional Analysis of the Automobile Front-Chassis-Module

  • In the present research work, an automated machine vision system and a new algorithm to interpret the inspection data has been developed. In the past, the control of tolerance of front-chassis-module was done manually. In the present work a machine vision system and required algorithm was developed to carryout dimensional evaluation automatically. The present system is used to verify whether the automobile front-chassis-module is within the tolerance limit or not. The directional ability parameters related with front-chassis-module such as camber, caster, toe and king-pin angle are also determined using the present algorithm. The above mentioned parameters are evaluated by the pose of interlinks in the assembly of an automobile front-chassis-module. The location of ball-joint center is important factor to determine these parameters. A method to determine the location of ball-joint center using geometric features is also suggested in this paper. In the present work a 3-D best fitting method is used for determining the relationship between nominal design coordinate system and the corresponding feature coordinate system.

고층 스카이브리지의 변위 허용치 산정에 대한 연구 (Study on Evaluating Displacement Tolerance of Sky-bridge in Tall Buildings)

  • The new method for evaluating the displacement tolerance of sky-bridges with pin-roller type supports was proposed considering both return period of phase difference between connected buildings and geometrical characteristics of skybridge. Because displacement tolerance is relative value, which is most affected by the phase difference of the connected buildings, the dynamic response of these building with time history analysis should be evaluated. However, the initial phase could not be specified, so the result of displacement tolerance would be varied with respect to initial value. Thus, the tolerance can be reasonably evaluated SRSS calculation with design displacements based on statistical approach and of each building. In addition, the geometrical characteristics of sky-bridge should be considered because the transverse displacement of sky-bridge span causes the shear deformation of the bridge and longitudinal displacement tolerance cannot release the shear deformation. Therefore, the some pin-end support in sky-bridge should have longitudinal displacement tolerance to accommodate the shear deformation. By resolving this shear deformation, it is possible not only to accommodate transverse displacement, but also to avoid the complicated joint details such as both pot bearing and guided supports with shear key.

유한변형과 굽힘효과가 고려된 3차원 보-기둥요소에 의한 공간구조물의 분기좌굴해석 (A Bifurcation Analysis of Space Structures by Using 3D Beam-Column Element Considering Finite Deformations and Bowing Effect)

  • 본 논문은 기하학적 비선형성을 가진 보존적 단일 하중 매개변수의 탄성 상태 공간구조의 탄성 분기 좌굴해석을 위한 공간프레임의 정식화, 분기경로 추적을 위한 pin-pointing 및 분기경로 전환알고리즘을 기술하고 있다. 복잡한 좌굴 후 거동특성을 파악하기 위한 본 연구의 공간프레임요소는 오일러리안 좌표계에 의한 유한회전이론으로 강체변형을 계산하였고, 굽힘효과가 고려된 보-기둥식을 적용하여 적은 개수의 요소의 사용으로도 정해를 얻을 수 있도록 하였으며, 후좌굴해석과 같은 고도의 비선형해석을 수행하기 위해 기하강성행렬의 모멘트에 대한 영향을 고려하였다. 분기좌굴에 의한 좌굴후 평형상태인 주경로와 분기경로의 pin-pointing 알고리즘으로 특이점을 계산하였으며, 고유치 및 고유모드를 이용한 본 연구의 수치알고리즘에 의해 분기경로를 추적하였다. 분기좌굴 해석예제로 평면프레임, 평면아치 및 공간돔에 대한 분기좌굴 해석을 수행하여 본문에서 제시한 수치해석법의 정확성 및 적용성을 검증한다.

플라스틱 온실의 강관 이음부 휨성능 분석 (Evaluation of Steel-Pipe Connections in Plastic Greenhouse Using Bending Test)

  • 본 연구에서는 현장에서 사용되는 온실 강관의 이음 방법에 대해 휨성능을 평가하고 그 결과를 바탕으로 가장 휨성능이 우수한 이음 방법을 알아보았다. 실험 결과, 모든 실험체는 이음이 없는 실험체 보다 휨성능이 작았다. 그러나 모든 실험체의 최대 휨모멘트는 이음이 없는 실험체 소성모멘트의 1.07~1.3정도로 나타났다. 또한 연결방법에 따른 결과는 연결핀 보다 인발 실험체가 상대적으로 큰 휨성능을 보였다. 현장 이음 방법의 파괴 모드는 연결핀과 강관 끝부분의 응력집중에 의한 국부좌굴이 지배적이었다. 현장시공 시 강관을 절단 후 연결할 경우, 이음 없이 사용하는 것이 가장 우수한 휨성능을 발휘하지만 부득이 강관을 절단할 경우는 연결핀보다는 인발 강관에 직결나사로 고정한 이음 방법(SPJ-F)으로 시공하는 것이 유리할 것으로 판단된다.

Assessment of three European fuel performance codes against the SUPERFACT-1 fast reactor irradiation experiment

  • The design phase and safety assessment of Generation IV liquid metal-cooled fast reactors calls for the improvement of fuel pin performance codes, in particular the enhancement of their predictive capabilities towards uranium-plutonium mixed oxide fuels and stainless-steel cladding under irradiation in fast reactor environments. To this end, the current capabilities of fuel performance codes must be critically assessed against experimental data from available irradiation experiments. This work is devoted to the assessment of three European fuel performance codes, namely GERMINAL, MACROS and TRANSURANUS, against the irradiation of two fuel pins selected from the SUPERFACT-1 experimental campaign. The pins are characterized by a low enrichment (~ 2 wt.%) of minor actinides (neptunium and americium) in the fuel, and by plutonium content and cladding material in line with design choices envisaged for liquid metal-cooled Generation IV reactor fuels. The predictions of the codes are compared to several experimental measurements, allowing the identification of the current code capabilities in predicting fuel restructuring, cladding deformation, redistribution of actinides and volatile fission products. The integral assessment against experimental data is complemented by a code-to-code benchmark focused on the evolution of quantities of engineering interest over time. The benchmark analysis points out the differences in the code predictions of fuel central temperature, fuel-cladding gap width, cladding outer radius, pin internal pressure and fission gas release and suggests potential modelling development paths towards an improved description of the fuel pin behaviour in fast reactor irradiation conditions.

테니스 서브 스탠스 유형별 하지관절 모멘트의 패턴 연구 (A Study of Lower Extremities Joint Moment Pattern by Stance Types in Tennis Serve)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 테니스 두 스탠스 유형(pinpoint stance, platform stance)에 따른 서브 시 하지관절의 모멘트를 분석하여 테니스 선수들이 연습 시 상해를 예방할 수 있도록 현장에서 지도할 객관적인 기초자료를 얻기 위해 테니스 고등학교 우수선수 7명을 대상으로 하였으며, VICON System의 분석프로그램인 Workstation, Bodybuilder, Polygon을 이용하여 하지관절의 모멘트를 분석하였다. 구체적인 변인은 발목, 무릎, 엉덩관절의 모멘트들을 중점적으로 비교 분석한바 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 테니스 두 스탠스 유형에 따른 서브 동작 시 하지관절에 발생되는 모멘트의 패턴은 각각 다른 패턴이었으며, 모멘트의 크기는 발목 배측 굴곡 모멘트만 plat가 크게 발생되었으며, 다른 모멘트는 pin이 크게 발생되었다. 또 굴신모멘트에서는 엉덩, 발목, 무릎 순이었으며, 회전모멘트는 발목, 무릎, 엉덩 순으로 큰 모멘트를 나타내 보였다. 하지관절의 굴신과 회전모멘트는 백스윙동작과 백스윙동작부터 포워드 스윙으로 변화되는 시점까지 모멘트의 크기가 가장 크게 나타났으며, 변화도 크게 나타내보였다. 이때 상해가 발생할 위험성이 높기 때문에 이에 주의해야 한다고 사료된다.

무전해 니켈 도금액 pH 변화에 따른 ENIG/Sn-Ag-Cu솔더 접합부의 취성파괴 특성 (Brittle Fracture Behavior of ENIG/Sn-Ag-Cu Solder Joint with pH of Ni-P Electroless Plating Solution)

  • 본 연구에서는 무전해 니켈 도금액 pH 변화에 따른 electroless nickel immersion gold (ENIG)/Sn-3.0wt.%Ag-0.5wt.%Cu(SAC305) 솔더 접합부 취성 파괴 거동에 대하여 평가하였다. ENIG 표면처리를 위한 무전해 니켈 도금액의 pH는 4.0에서 5.5로 변화 시켰다. 무전해 니켈 도금 후 Ni-P 표면 관찰 결과, 도금액의 pH가 낮아질수록 Ni-P 층 nodule 표면에 핀홀이 증가하였다. 솔더링 후 접합부 계면에서는 (Cu,Ni)6Sn5 금속간화합물이 형성되었으며, 무전해 니켈 도금액의 pH가 증가할수록 솔더접합부의 계면 금속간화합물의 두께는 증가하였다. 고속전단 시험을 통하여 ENIG/SAC305 솔더 접합부의 취성파괴 거동을 확인하였으며, 무전해 니켈 도금액의 pH가 증가할수록 솔더접합부의 전단강도는 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 또한, 솔더 접합부의 취성 파괴율은 pH가 5일 때 가장 높은 값을 보였다.

Sn-3.0 Ag-0.5 Cu/OSP 무연솔더 접합계면의 접합강도 변화에 따른 전자부품 열충격 싸이클 최적화 (Thermal Shock Cycles Optimization of Sn-3.0 Ag-0.5 Cu/OSP Solder Joint with Bonding Strength Variation for Electronic Components)

  • When the electronics are tested with thermal shock for Pb-free solder joint reliability, there are temperature conditions with use environment but number of cycles for test don't clearly exist. To obtain the long term reliability data, electronic companies have spent the cost and times. Therefore this studies show the test method and number of thermal shock cycles for evaluating the solder joint reliability of electronic components and also research bonding strength variation with formation and growth of intermetallic compounds (IMC). SMD (surface mount device) 3216 chip resistor and 44 pin QFP (quad flat package) was utilized for experiments and each components were soldered with Sn-40Pb and Sn-3.0 Ag-0.5 Cu solder on the FR-4 PCB(printed circuit board) using by reflow soldering process. To reliability evaluation, thermal shock test was conducted between $-40^{\circ}C\;and\;+125^{\circ}C$ for 2,000 cycles, 10 minute dwell time, respectively. Also we analyzed the IMCs of solder joint using by SEM and EDX. To compare with bonding strength, resistor and QFP were tested shear strength and $45^{\circ}$ lead pull strength, respectively. From these results, optimized number of cycles was proposed with variation of bonding strength under thermal shock.

실험계획법에 의한 AZ31 마그네슘 합금의 마찰교반용접 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Friction Stir Welding Characteristics of AZ31 Mg Alloy by the Design of Experiment)

  • In this paper, the design of experiment with two-way factorial design was adopted and from that, optimum values of welding variables including the welding speed and rotation speed were found to improve the strength of AZ31 magnesium alloy sheets joined by the friction stir technique. Tool with shoulder diameter of 12 mm and pin diameter of 3.5 mm was used. Also the welding direction was aligned with the material rolling direction, and dimensions of the AZ31 magnesium alloy sheets were $100{\times}100{\times}2mm$. Conditions of rotation speed were 1000, 1100 and 1200 rpm and those of welding speed were 200, 300 and 400 mm/min. As far as this work is concerned, the optimal conditions for friction stir joint were predicted as the rotation speed of 1200 rpm and welding speed of 200 mm/min.

QFP 솔더접합부의 크립특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Creep Characteristics of QFP Solder Joints)

  • In this paper, the creep characteristics of lead and lead-free solder joint were investigated using the QFP(Quad Flat Package) creep test. Two kind of solder pastes(Sn-3Ag-0.5Cu, Sn-0.2Sb-0.4Ag-37.4Pb) were applied to the QFP solder joints and each specimen was checked the external and internal failures(i.e., wetting failure, void, pin hole, poor-heel fillet) by digital microscope and X-ray inspection. The creep test was conducted at the temperatures of $100^{\circ}C$ and $130^{\circ}C$ under the load of 15$\sim$20% of average pull strength in solder joints. The creep characteristics of each solder joints were compared using the creep strain-time curve and creep strain rate-stress curves. Through the comparison, the Sn-3Ag-0.5Cu solder joints have higher creep resistance than that of Sn-0.3Sb-0.4Ag-37.4Pb. Also, the grain boundary sliding in the fracture surface and the necking of solder joint were observed by FE-SEM.
