The Piano, directed by Jane Campion in 1993, became a sensational movie with a special theme focusing on gender and sexual identity, when it won Palme d'Or in the Cannes Film Festival at the same year. Most of the critics discuss the representation of Victorian sexual repression in the colonial setting. But the critical acclaim tends to view the existence of the Maori people and the colonial setting as the backdrop of the narrative, although this colonial background is constructed as a medium to accelerate the release of the repressed passion. Regarding the race issue as a compelling discourse that gets left out of "feminist" accounts, this paper analyzes The Piano, focusing on both how the story of colonialism is constituted in the film and how the film represents ambivalent images of the Maori people, the native of New Zealand.

Music performance techniques have been primarily trained by apprenticeship. The technique transfer, which relies on the imitation of experience and actual performance without scientific evidence, required the pianists more time and effort than necessary. However, if the players in the field discover the principles of universally applicable piano playing techniques in collaboration with scientists, they will avoid errors and prepare a new paradigm in the development of piano playing techniques. This is why music performance science is needed. Little has been studied about it in Korea, but it has been activated abroad since the mid-1990s. The core science of music performance science is expected to be computer science fitting data analysis. In this paper, we introduce music performance science for the pianist and present how computer can help it.

키넥트는 사용자의 동작을 인식하고, 마이크 모듈로 음성을 인식하는 센서이다. 최근, 키넥트는 재활 치료 분야, 교육 분야 등의 다양한 분야에서 활용되고 있다. 교육 분야 중에서도 음악, 발레 등의 예체능 교육 분야들에 키넥트를 활용한 연구가 진행되고 있는데, 본 논문에서는 예체능 교육 분야인 피아노 교육 분야에 키넥트를 활용한다. 본 논문에서는 저가의 접근성이 높은 키넥트를 이용해 전문가와 학습자의 자세 위치 값을 인식 및 비교해 학습자에게 피드백을 제공함으로써 학습자가 혼자 있을 경우에도 객관적인 수치에 의해 자신의 자세를 교정할 수 있는 피아노 교육 방안을 제안 및 구현한다. 제안하는 키넥트 기반 피아노 교육 시스템은 키넥트를 이용하여 학습자에게 피드백을 줄 수 있는 최초의 피아노 교육 시스템이며, 전문가의 관절 위치와 학습자의 관절 위치를 비교하는 알고리즘을 제안 및 구현한다. 또한, 학습자와 전문가의 관절 위치 비교 시 오차 허용 정도를 달리하는 실험을 통하여 오차 허용 정도별 자세의 정확도를 측정한다.

This study intends to analyze the various spatial structures and characteristics of the museum based on the two of the Renzo Piano's recent projects Menil Collection '||'&'||' Museum and Beyeler Foundation Museum Which defined the direction of the "Third Generation" in museum architecture with reference to the quality of spatial experience and design applications. Comparison and analysis were done on the basic spatial organization floor layout accessibility exhibition area lighting plan and circulation between the two museum. Through the itemized common characteristics of the museum the architect's proposal on meaning and direction of the new museum architecture can be viewed. The contemporary museums distinguish themselves quite clearly from their predecessors and this applies both to their own form and to their spatial organization. As the public demands and requests toward the museum building facility expand everyday the architect must respond by providing multiple types of space where people can experience different atmosphere in each area. One concept he used to create multi experienced area was manipulation of the natural light using by the state-of-the-art techniques of the light filtering system and multi-layering roof system to protect the valuable collections against the direct sunlight. But mainly it was to prove his strong belief in "architecture of light" by creating space with minimized meaning by purposely distinguished area in order to provide maximum support to the physical value of the collection " The connection with nature" is another concept which Piano used to provide the public a tranquil experience through out the architecture which engages in a lively dialogue with art. In spatial organization Piano concerned on functionality which not only concentrated on the visitor's point of view but also on the museum staff's comfort. Unlkie the traditional museum he alternates various size of exhibition areas for spatial hierarchy. Specially the spatial flexibility that the temporary exhibition areas are able to be expanded to the permanent exhibition areas by adjoining t재 spaces differentiate Piano's new museum from the rest. museum from the rest.

본 논문에서는 헝가리 출신의 작곡가 스티븐 헬러(Stephen Heller)의 피아노 작품들을 활용해 리듬과 발란스를 중심으로 중급과정의 학습자들의 피아노 테크닉이 향상될 수 있는 연습방법 및 교수방안을 제시하고자 한다. 스테판 헬러는 낭만시대의 작곡가로 우리에게 비교적 많이 알려지지는 않았지만 그의 작품을 살펴보면, 기초적인 피아노 테크닉을 향상시키고 더 나아가 음악성을 개발시킬 수 있는 작품들을 많이 작곡한 것을 알 수 있다. 헬러의 작품들은 대부분 피아노 연습곡임에도 불구하고 음악적이고 중급 또는 고급과정의 학습자들이 다루기에 흥미로운 작품들이 많다. 또한 그의 작품들은 음악적 표현력을 개발시키고 연주용 레퍼토리로 사용하기에 가치 있는 곡들로 낭만시대의 쇼팽, 리스트, 슈만 등과 같은 낭만시대 대작의 작품을 연주하기 전 단계에서 중급과정의 학습자들이 다루기에 효과적이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 스티븐 헬러의 피아노 작품들을 활용해 피아노 테크닉 향상과 음악성을 개발시키기 위한 연습방법을 리듬과 발란스 중심으로 제시하고 이를 통해 피아노 교육의 질적 향상과 교수법적 연구에 중요한 의미를 갖고자 한 논문이다.

Nitric oxide (NO) has been regarded as one of the neurotransmitters of nonadrenergic, noncholinergic (NANC) nerve stimulation in rabbit corpus cavernosum, rat gastric fundus and human intestine. PIANO (photo-induced adequate nitric oxide) is a very useful tool to investige the role of NO in various smooth muscles where NO is a mediator. The present study was undertaken to compare the physiological responses of the rat gastric smooth muscle in response to NANC nerve stimulation and to PIANO. Photolysis of L-NAME, D-NAME and streptozotocin (572) by UV light in the bathing medium caused relaxation of rat gastric fungus that contracted with carbachol, but was resistant to tetrodotoxin (TTX, 1 $\mu$M). Electrical stimulation (20 V, 2~32 Hz, 0.2 msec, 10s) of the gastric fundus, in the presence of atropine and guanethidine, induced frequency-dependent, TTX-sensitive relaxation. Sodium nitroprusside (1 nM-10 $\mu$M), a NO donor, mimicked the relaxations observed after NANC-stimulation or PIANO. Furthermore, PIANO caused UV light exposure time-dependent increase of CGMP in rat gastric fungus strips. These results provide another evidence indirectly that NO is one of the mediators of the NANC inhibitory nerve stimulation in the rat gastric fundus.

본 연구는 심리 정서적 지원 프로그램의 일환으로 집단 피아노 연주 활동 프로그램이 국제결혼 이주여성들의 자기효능감에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지 알아보는 데에 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 서울에 소재한 N 다문화 지원 기관에서 국제결혼 이주여성 5명을 대상으로 10주간 주 1회 10회기의 집단 피아노 연주 활동 프로그램을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 연구 방법에는 양적 연구 방법과 질적 연구 방법이 함께 사용된 혼합적 연구 방법 설계가 사용되었다. 연구 결과, 대상자들의 자기효능감 척도 검사 평균 점수는 비모수 검증 결과 유의도 수준 .05에서 통계적으로 유의미함을 나타냈으며, 질적 내용 분석에서도 세션 초기보다 세션 후기에 대상자들의 자기효능감이 언어적 행동적 측면에서 긍정적으로 변화하였음을 보여주었다. 따라서 이상의 연구 결과는 국제결혼 이주여성들의 자기효능감을 증진시키는 데에 집단 피아노 연주 활동 프로그램이 효과적인 중재도구로서 가능성이 있음을 보고하고 있다.

제르맨 타유페르(Germaine Tailleferre)는 프랑스 6인조(Les Six)에 속한 유일한 여성 작곡가로서 약 70여 년의 작곡활동 기간 중 다수의 피아노 실내악 작품을 남겼다. 타유페르의 피아노 실내악 작품들은 전체 작품에서 큰 비중을 차지하고 있으나 그것에 대한 선행 연구는 미비하다고 할 수 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 타유페르의 피아노 실내악 작품에 대한 전체 목록을 소개하고 각각의 작품을 연주 난이도에 따라 분류하였다. 이와 더불어 1974년에 작곡한 <두 대의 피아노를 위한 소나타>를 형식, 화성, 선율 등의 측면에서 자세히 분석함으로서 그녀의 음악 어법과 작품 세계에 대한 이해를 돕고자 하였다. <두 대의 피아노를 위한 소나타>는 당시 파리의 카페, 뮤직홀 등에서 유행하던 살롱 양식의 가벼운 음악적 언어를 바탕으로 인상주의, 신고전주의 음악 등의 다양한 어법들이 다층적으로 반영되어 있는 작품이라고 하겠다. 본 연구가 타유페르의 음악 어법에 대한 이해를 도모하며 새로운 20세기 피아노 실내악 문헌의 발굴, 확장에 기여하기를 기대한다.

We investigated whether nitric oxide (NO) may serve a role in bladder function by immunohistochemical analysis of the distribution of intrinsic NADPH-diaphorase and functional study of isometric tension recordings via a photo-induced adequate nitric oxide (PIANO) generating system using rat bladder. Results suggest that a small number of NADPH-diaphorase-positive perikarya are present within the bladder wall and within adjacent small ganglia. Furthermore, NADPH-diaphorase-positive nerve fibers were observed in the adventitial and muscular layers, subjacent to the urothelium and perivascular fibers. Rat bladder strips precontracted with 3$\mu$M carbachol were reversibly relaxed upon NO generation by UV irradiation. PIANO-mediated relaxation was sensitive to oxygen free radicals. In addition, tissue cGMP levels were increased by the PIANO generating system and elevated cGMP levels were decreased by pretreatment of guanylate cyclase inhibitor, methylene blue. These results indicate that NO may serve a role in modulating bladder tone in the rat.

본 연구에서는 음역의 변화를 위해 현재 사용중인 방법 대신 피아노 현에 집중질량을 달아, 피아노 현의 진동특성 및 음색에 관해 분석하였다. 이론적 해석은, 현의 질량을 등분화 하여 다자유도계의 스프링-질량 시스템으로 변환시켜 Holzer 방법으로 해석한 불연속계와, 모우드 합 방법과 라플라스 변환방법을 이용한 연속계로 해석하였으며 실험적 해석은 업라이트 피아노의 현에 집중질량을 부착시켜 수행하였다.
