A survey analysis of home video games was carried out for 1,018 elementary school children. Children responded to a questionnaire consisting of sociodemographic variables, degree of game participation(frequency and mean time), control behavior(eg. resting during games, lightening interior), and physical symptoms(eg. eyestrain, headache, trembling, paralyses) during and/or after playing games. Statistical analysis was done by frequency, percentile, and chitest. The results showed that many children enjoyed video games frequently and played continually, that few children did control behavior during games. Main variables related to degree of game playing and control behavior were sex, game experience, parent's education, and mother's activity. In particular, the results implied that the level of physical symptoms during and/or after game differed by lighting factors.
[Purpose] This study aimed to investigate the effects of leucine-enriched essential amino acid (LEAA) supplementation on muscle fatigue and the level of inflammatory cytokines in wheelchair basketball players after a basketball game and interval training. [Methods] Of the ten recruited wheelchair basketball players (aged 34.5±8.9 years; lean body mass of 34.3±10.0 kg) who had spinal cord injury (SCI) and had undergone amputation, nine participated in the final test. These nine athletes received LEAA supplements (3 times 4.0 g/day) or placebo treatment in a double-blind, randomized, crossover study. We measured variables related to muscular fatigue and inflammatory response before the intense exercise and 4 days after recovery. [Results] The significant effect of LEAA supplementation was inhibition of circulating IL-6 levels in the LEAA-treated group compared with the placebo group (P < .05). However, no changes were observed in the TNF-α and creatinine kinase levels. Moreover, analysis of variance analysis showed no significant difference in the relative values of muscle soreness. However, the effect size analysis with Cohen's d reported a significant improvement in the relative values of whole body and back muscle soreness. [Conclusion] Our results revealed that LEAA supplementation before and after intense exercise could help reduce muscle soreness and IL-6 levels in wheelchair basketball players.
Obesity affects various kinds of adult diseases and is a principal cause of injuring people's health. Physical activities are very important to solve the obesity problem and green spaces are good place to take physical activities. In order to examine the utilization of green spaces for physical activities to improve health, the survey was implemented in regards to recognition of health, forms of use of green spaces for physical activities. Only 8.1% of respondents didn't care about health, but 91.9% of them were interested in health more than 'commonness'. 95.2% of respondents knew that obesity has an effect on various adult diseases, and 93.1% of respondents cognized that it's possible to prevent obesity by doing physical activities. More than half of respondents replied that the types of green spaces utilized for physical activities were small-scale neighborhood parks and mini parks around house. About 70% of respondents took walking as a type of physical activities. 53% of respondents utilized green spaces one or two times a week, while 25% of them utilized the places at least three times a week to take physical activities. 91.8% of respondents took exercise for more than 30 minutes. These results are expected to promote health because many experts encourage people to take physical activities at least three times a week because fats of human body begins to bum after 30 minutes from start of physical activities. In the utilizing time of green spaces, evening or after work(56.7%) was higher than morning or before work(35.1%). 71% of respondents usually visited green spaces by walking. This study shows green spaces are good places for physical activities and have boundless potentialities improving people's health.

In this paper, we propose an effective software education donation model for the social care class. The types of software education for elementary, middle, and high school for the social care class are in the order of after school classes, club activities, creative experiences, and regular classes. In elementary school students, it is effective to precede visual programming education based on block coding and to conduct curriculum convergence with SW and HW at the beginning, and high school students are carrying out text programming education like Python. Software education for social care class The contribution activity model can be classified into five types such as geographically difficult area, multicultural family areas, orphanage, reformatory, and basic livelihood security recipient. In addition, the survey results show that the students' interest in software education and their satisfaction are all very high at 96%. Effective software education for the social care class In the donation model, the lecturers consist of responsible professors, lecturers, and assistant instructors. Software training for the social care class is effective on a year-by-year basis, so that students can feel authenticity and trust. Software education contents focus on visual programming and physical computing education in elementary or middle school, and text programming and physical computing education in high school. It is necessary to construct a software education donor matching system that helps efficient management of software education donations by efficiently matching schools (consumers: elementary, middle, high school) and software education donors(suppliers).
The purpose of this study was to the effects of exercise intensities in physical activity of 8 weeks, on fitness, blood lipid for middle school students with intellectual disabilities. Participants of the research were allocated by low-intensity(n=8, 40~54%HRR), middle-intensity(n=8, 55~69%HRR), and high-intensity(n=9, 70~85%HRR) exercise groups wirelessly. For setting and maintenance of individual exercise intensity, wireless heart rate monitor(RS-400, POLAR, Finland) was used. Fitness, BDNF, and blood lipid were measured equally before participating in physical activity and 8 weeks after participation. As a result, fitness and agility of high-intensity exercise group were significantly increased than low-intensity exercise group. BDNF of high-intensity exercise group was also significantly increased than low-intensity exercise group. For blood lipid, only total cholesterol showed differences by exercise intensity group and exercise group more than middle intensity showed significant reduction. In conclusion, when giving same exercise to middle school students with intellectual disabilities, fitness and BDNF were increased the mostly in high-intensity exercise group and total cholesterol was effective from the exercise of more than middle intensity.

Objective: Disorder of the autonomic nervous system is considered to be the cause of primary dysmenorrhea. The spine has a close relationship with the autonomic nervous system, and the sacrum is mechanically and neurologically connected to the uterus through ligaments. Therefore, this study was conducted to check the effect on the autonomic nervous system through measurement of heart rate variability by applying manual therapy to the sacroiliac joints of subjects with primary dysmenorrhea and to suggest an effective treatment method for dysmenorrhea. Design: Randomized controlled trial. Methods: Thirty females with dysmenorrhea were assigned to either the manual therapy group and sham treatment group according to the random treatment method. The manual therapy was applied to the sacroiliac joints, and the sham treatment was only treated with the hands placed in the same position of the intervention. Heart rate variability and the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) were measured on the day when menstruation began ±2. Interventions were performed between the groups, followed by a 5-minute break and then re-measurements were made. Results: There were significant differences in autonomic balance and VAS scores in the manual therapy group before and after the intervention between groups (p<0.05). In the sham treatment group, there were significant differences in low frequency, autonomic balance, and VAS scores (p<0.05). There were significant differences in autonomic balance between groups (p<0.05). Conclusions: In females with primary dysmenorrhea, manual therapy applied to the sacroiliac joint was found to be effective for a short time on autonomic activity.
The purpose of this study was to compare the anaerobic threshold (AT) between subjects with and without non-specific chronic low back pain (NCLBP). The patient group included 15 women with NCLBP. The normal group included 15 women without NCLBP who were age-, height-, weight-, and activity level-matched. The subjects performed a Balke treadmill protocol which was symptom-limited progressive loading test. Their heart rate (HR), ventilatory gas and metabolic equivalents (METs) were measured using the automatic breath gas analyzing system. After the test, each subjects' ratings of perceived exertion (RPE) were evaluated. The visual analog scale (VAS) was assessed pre- and post-test. The independent t-test and Wilcoxon's signed-rank test were used for analysis of the data. Time, HR, the volume of oxygen consumption ($VO_2$), relative $VO_2$, and METs at the AT level of the patient group were significantly lower than those of the healthy group (p<.05). However, there were no significant differences in RPE, VAS, and breathing frequency at the AT level (p>.05). The findings of this study indicate that patients with NCLBP had a lower aerobic fitness than healthy subjects. Thus, implementation of rehabilitation program to increase aerobic fitness may be considered in patietns with NCLBP, and further studies are required to determine the etiological factors of decreased aerobic fitness.
Purpose: This study was done to investigate the motivational, physical and affective benefits of exergaming in community dwelling older adult women.
