  • Seoul, the capital of Korea, is worldwide city; Seoul is 600 year-old city as a capital and more than 10 millions of population live in Seoul, Image of Seoul has began to be known to the peoples in the world through 1988 Seoul Olympic Games and 2002 World Cup. However, in the public design and trees lining street system, Seoul hasn't been escaped from the image of a city which lacks of the characterization in the culture and identity aspects. This paper applied a protective fence designing simulation for Cultural Street in Seoul to develop much more the identity of Seoul and characterization of local culture. Also, It's examined and analyzed R&D data, and applied traditional patterns to design to set developmental capacity of design and a direction of fence design in the past, present and future. It's analyzed the present condition of domestic manufacturers and examples for installation, selected randomly 7 places of domestic cultural places as an alternative to compare the previous design to the present design with 3D design and photos composing method, and developed the related situation. Also, It's visualized this method to let the citizens and all levels of society determine the design. besides that, developed the traditional patterns to apply the patterns to the design, considering the characteristic of each region and characteristic of each road. It's suggested this fence design to apply the image of advanced Korea and Seoul as a creative cultural city, and the international status of Korea and Seoul to the trees on the historical and traditional street. • We conducted preservation treatment for 25 pieces of coins of Goryeo era in collection of the National Museum of Korea. Object coins are 5 kinds of 'Donggukjungbo', 'Dongguktongbo', 'Haedongtongbo', 'Haedongjungbo', 'Samhanjungbo'. As it is worried that if all chlorides able to make bad influence on reclics are removed, letter and chape of coin can be damaged, they were removed partially. To date, inscribed letter form of Dongguktongbo is known as more than 6 types, and as a result of interpreting X-ray photos, 3 types of inscribed letters were identified by this study. Bronze rust acquired in the process of removing rust on coins, origin of materials for coin was assumed through lead isotope ratio analysis. Latest tendency is that diverse scientific analyses are conducted based on bronze rust.

  • We reviewed the charts and photos taken during arthroscpy of 218 knees of 214 patients(240 menisci) retrospectively. The male was 156 cases(73%) and the female 58 cases(27%). The mean age of the patients was 35 years(range, 7-68). The patients who had definite trauma history were classified as trauma group(Group 1), and the patients who had no or could not recall trauma history were as atrauma group(Group 2). The trauma group was subclassified into the the patients with sports injury, traffic accident, fall down, slip down, direct injury, and miscellaneous according to the causes of the trauma. The patterns of meniscal tear were classified into longitudinal, bucket-handle, horizontal, transverse, flap, complex, and degenerative tear on the basis of O'Connor's classification. The aim of this study was to compare the meniscal tear patterns between trauma group(Group 1) and atrauma group(Group 2) and between the patients before and after the age of 40. The results were as follows ; 1) The difference in the incidence of tear between medial and lateral meniscus was not significant statistically. 2) In Group 1, 60% of the cases showed the longitudinal and bucket-handle tear and 52% of the cases of Group 2 were horizontal tear. 3) In the patients before the age of 40, the longitudinal and bucket-handle tear were 52% of the cases and in the patients over 40, tear patterns which were thought to be related to degenerative change, horizontal and degenerative tear were more than half of the cases (51%).

  • Early Smart TV market had their interest in the ability of HW, but these days Smart TV market begin to concentrate on it's services, contents and applications of SW. However, because in Smart TV application, there is no major difference with the application in smart phones and tablets. So the utilization rate in Smart TV application is evidently low. That's the reason why many people did not feel the need to use smart TV applications. In order to solve this problem, this paper propose to develope an application with the cloud computing technique [clould computing] that is intended to provide an usability through the interlocking of the individual PC and smart phone. After uploading user's photos from smart phone or PC to smart TV, this application will help not only to create user's own video but also to add various kind of video effects that user want. Therefore, in this paper, I expect the activation of smart TV applications.

  • This study is aimed to better understand the lifestyle and fashion trend of Korea in 1954 and 1955, a period right after the Korean War. The study examined "The Journey of Duty", which was a color slide film of Seoul and Suwon made by a US soldier stationed in Korea during that time, as well as various documents. The films are assumed to be outcomes of the US Army wanting to record the situation in Korea, and the study was able to use 110 of the slides to examine the fashion trend of the times. There are three noticeable trends shown on "The Journey of duty". Koreans in western clothes, women wearing work pants called Momppae, and black color being in fashion. Most of the men and the children either wore only western clothes or western clothes with the Hanbok. But women rarely wore western-style clothing, such as blouse with skirt. They usually wore Hanbok or wore reformed Hanbok. The work pants, Momppae, becoming an everyday wear is the most unique finding from the slides. Women either wore just the pants or over the traditional Korean skirt. Black-colored clothes were in fashion. This color first spread after the Costume Reform Movement in the 1920s' and the prohibition of white robe. The wearing of white clothes did increase after the Korean liberation in 1945, as national spirit was promoted. However, many people still wore black due to economic reasons, as we as practical reasons. So the Korean fashion in 1954-1955 was in a transition period, as people were beginning to change their daily wears from traditional Korean costumes to western-styled clothes. The reasons for this change could be attributed to people only having access to western goods, as well as their awareness of western-styled clothes being more practical.

  • This study compares and analyzes bridal wedding styles in Korean and Chinese SNS. For this, 715 photos (362 in Korea and 353 in China) collected on social media (Instagram and Xiaohongshu) were used for analysis. The bridal wedding style was divided by item into wedding dress, makeup, and hairstyle, and detailed characteristics of images and designs were examined through content analysis and statistical analysis. First, in the case of Korea, many wedding dresses showed ball gowns and mermaid silhouettes, white colors, and no details and trimmings. As for the makeup, transparent and natural skin expression, straight eyebrows, and pink and peach lip colors were highlighted; and as for hairstyles, many long hair with half-covered ears appeared. Second, in China, a ball gown, mermaid silhouette, and white color are often seen in wedding dresses, and point colors and use of various details and trimmings are noted. The makeup showed a lot of bright skin expression, brown and black eyebrows, and red and brown lip colors. As for hairstyle, a lot of long hair with completely exposed ears appeared. Third, the comparison of bridal wedding styles between Korea and China indicated that China used relatively more details and trimmings in wedding dresses. As for makeup, Korea has a natural image, and China has a classic image. As for the hairstyle, there were many styles in which Koreans had half the ears covered, and Chinese had no bangs and completely exposed ears.

  • In this paper, we develop an online video mash-up system which use automatic scene elements composition scheme using a storyboard. There are two conventional online video production schemes. Video collage method is simple and easy, but it was difficult to reflect narrative or story. Another way is a template based method which usually select a template and it replaces resources such as photos or videos in the template. However, if the related templates do not exist, there are limitations that cannot create the desired output. In addition, the quality and atmosphere of the output is too dependent on the template. To solve these problems, we propose a video mash-up scheme using storyboard and we also implement a classification and recommendation scheme based on topic modeling.

  • Background and objective: This study was conducted to find out the status of plant utilization in the current textbooks by analyzing the plants by grade and subject in the national textbooks for all elementary school grades in the 2015 revised curriculum in Korea. Methods: The data collected was analyzed using Microsoft Office Excel to obtain the frequency and ratio of collected plant data and SPSS for Windows 26.0 to determine learning content areas by grade and the R program was used to visualize the learning content areas. Results: A total of 232 species of plants were presented 1,047 times in the national textbooks. Based on an analysis of the plants presented by grade, the species that continued to increase in the lower grades tended to decrease in the fifth and sixth grades, the upper grades of elementary school. As for the number and frequency of plant species by subject, Korean Language had the highest number and frequency of plant species. The types of presentation of plants in textbooks were mainly text, followed by illustrations and photos of plants, which were largely used in first grade textbooks. In addition, as for the area of learning contents in which plants are used, in the lower grades, plants were used in the linguistic domain, and in the upper grades, in the botanical and environmental domains of the natural sciences. Herbaceous plants were presented more than woody plants, and according to an analysis of the plants based on the classification of crops, horticultural crops were presented the most, followed by food crops. Out of horticultural crops, flowering plants were found the most diversity with 63 species, but the plants that appeared most frequently were fruit trees that are commonly encountered in real life. Conclusion: As a result of this study, various plant species were included in elementary school textbooks, but most of them were horticultural crops encountered in real life depending on their use. Nevertheless, plant species with high frequency have continued a similar trend of frequency from the previous curriculums. Therefore, in the next curriculum, plant learning materials should be reflected according to social changes and students' preference for plants.
