  • This paper describes a new phase-difference detection method and the associate process algorithm for calculating the mean value of phase difference detected and OVCXO control value and for monitoring and controlling the DP-PLL operation status to be used in the design of a high-frequency DP-PLL. Through the experiments of DP-PLL implemented with 16-bit processor, memories, pheriperals and OVCXO to eraluate the suggested method and algorithm, it is shown that a remarkable improvement in PLL function such as phase detection, and reference clock tracing capability, jitter absorbability and frequency stability compared with other existing DP-PLL synchronization device is achieved.

랜드/그루부 기록형 상변화 광디스크 박막에 대한 열전달 해석 (Heat Transfer Analysis on Phase Change Optical Disc with Land/Groove Recording)

  • This study deals with the heat transfer analysis on phase change optical disc with land/groove recording by means of numerical method. Finite difference time domain(FDTD) method was used to obtain the amount of absorption of light propagating inside disc and finite difference element(FEM) method was used to calculate the temperature distribution. The calculated results present the detailed information of recording characteristics on the phase change optical disc. The temperature profiles are quite different between the land track and the groove track. The recorded mark shape on land track is smaller and more elliptic than that on groove track. It is shown that the thermal problem to the neighboring track takes place due to secondary peaks. It is found that the different write strategy should be applied to land and groove recording, respectively.

  • This paper is to develop a measurement system of the displacement distance using ultrasonic sensors. Two 400KHz ultrasonic sensors are used for realizing the measurement system, such as one sensor transmits the sine wave and the other sensor receives this wave. The displacement is measured by the phase difference between transmitting and receiving signals. A phase defecter transforms phase difference to voltage. Because the output voltage pattern has nonlinear characteristics, the relations of the voltage and the distance are learned by a neural network. As the results of teaming, the efficiency of measurement system is improved. This system can measure the displacement distance at the accuracy of 1 micrometer level.

  • The travelling ultrasonic motor(USM) has good some characteristics over conventional servo motors such as compact size, light weight, silent moton, high torque and high speed response. The USM is driven by 2-phase AC electricity. By adjusting the phase difference of the motor power we control rotation, speed and torque of USM. In this paper, we propose design method using PLSI(programmable Large Scale Integration) of USM controller to adjust the phase difference of the motor power. As compared the previous, the new controller has some advantage that high speed, predictable performance, low power and so on.

  • In this paper, nonlinear nonplanar vibration of a flexible rectangular cantilever beam is analyzed when one-to-one resonance occurs to the beam. The planar and nonplanar motions of the beam are analyzed in time and frequency domains. In frequency domain, FFT analyzer is used to perform autospectrum and cepstrum analyses for nonlinear response of the beam. In time domain, an oscilloscope is used to investigate the phase difference between the planar and nonplanar motions and to perform Torus analysis in the phase space. Through those analyzing process, the main frequencies of superharmonic, subharmonic, and super-subharmonic motions are investigated in the nonplanar motion due to one-to-one resonance. Analyzing the phase difference between the planar and nonplanar motions, it is observed that the phase difference varies in time.

  • 광정보처리와 광연결에 널리 사용되는 위상홀로그램을 제작하기 위해서는 정확한 위상을 갖게 하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 광 리소그래피 방식에 의한 위상 홀로그램의 제작 시 요구되는 위상을 얻기 위한 방법으로 회절빔의 0차 세기와 홀로그램의 위상과의 관계를 도입하였고, 이를 이용하여 위상이 각각 $\pi$$\pi$/2인 이진 위상 홀로그램을 제작하였다. 이 두 홀로그램을 결합하여 다중 위상 홀로그램을 구현함으로서 이진 위상 홀로그램에서 재생되는 불필요한 영상을 제거할 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, we proposed the receive decoder and Virterbi algorithm with sliding multiple symbol detection using MLSE. the informationis transmitted by the phase difference of the adjacent channel signal at the .pi./4 shift QPSK. In order to apply the .pi./4 shift QPSK to TCM, we use the signal set expansion and the signal set partition by the phase differences. And the Viterbi decoder containing branch mertrice of the squared Euclidean distance of the first, second and Lth order phase difference is introduced in order to extract the information in the differential detection of the Trellis-Coded .pi./4 shift QPSK. The proposed Viterbi decoder and receiver are conceptually same to the sliding multiple symbol detection method using the MLSE. By uisng this method, the study shows that the Trellis-Coded .pi./4 shift QPSK is an attractive scheme for the power and the bandimited systems while also improving the BER performance when the Viterbi decoder is employed to the Lth order phase difference metrics.

  • The all pass filter generates a virtual q-axis voltage component with $90^{\circ}$ phase delay but the virtual q-axis voltage cannot detect the voltage depending on the phase of the grid voltage. To overcome the problem, q-axis voltage component is generated from difference between the current and previous value of d-axis voltage component in the stationary reference frame. However, the difference voltage between the current and previous value around the zero crossing voltage is not enough to detect the voltage sag. Therefore, the new detection scheme which can detect the sag around the zero crossing voltage is proposed.

정현파 형상 노즐 제트의 유동특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Flow Characteristics of Sinusoidal Nozzle Jet)

  • Two turbulent jet with different sinusoidal nozzle exit configurations of in-phase and $180^{\circ}$ out-of-phase were investigated experimentally using a smoke-wire method and a hot-wire anemometry. Mean velocity and turbulence intensity were measured at several downstream locations under $Re_D\;=\;5000$. For the case of in-phase nozzle configuration, the length of potential core exhibits negligible difference with respect to the transverse locations (0, $\lambda/4$ and $\lambda/2$), similar to that of a plane jet. On the other hand, a maximum difference of 30% in the potential-core length occurs for the $180^{\circ}$ out-of-phase configuration. The spatial distributions of turbulence intensities also show significant difference for the nozzle of $180^{\circ}$ out-of-phase, whereas non-symmetric distribution is observed in the near-exit region(x/D = 1) for the in-phase sinusoidal nozzle jet. Compared to a slit planc jet, the sinusoidal nozzle jets seem to suppress the velocity deficit as the flow goes downstream. The sinusoidal nozzle jet was found to decrease turbulent intensity dramatically. The flow visualization results show that the flow characteristics of the sinusoidal nozzle jet are quite different from those of the slit plane jet.

다중 안테나 기반 위상 차이를 이용한 AOA 측위 기법 (Multi-Antenna based AOA Positioning using Phase Difference)

  • In this paper, we have studied the performance of the AOA (Angle of Arrival) in multi-antenna systems for LBS (Location Based Services) and we also analyzed the performance of the AOA in SISO (Single Input Single Output) in multipath environments and their differences. The adequacy of AOA positioning in new communication environments was determined. Currently used positioning methods in 3G communication environment has been developed based on SISO. However, the accuracy of SISO-based TOA (Time of Arrival), TDOA (Time Difference of Arrival), AOA positioning techniques degraded in multipath environments. The communication system will be changed and developed. According to enhanced positioning techniques are required. Using antenna characteristics and the phase difference between antennas of LTE-Advanced standard's key technique MIMO system AOA positioning, and SISO based AOA positioning performance were analyzed. We found that AOA technique potential for use based on Multiple antenna systems by computer simulations.
