A Method of Gameplay Analysis by Petri Net Model Simulation (Petri Net 모델 시뮬레이션을 통한 게임플레이 분석방법)

  • As the popularity of casual games, they are increasing the needs to satisfy personal dispositions and the gameplay requirements of the various users in the game development process. These require analysis of action patterns of gameplay of various users in the testing phase of the game development. In this paper, we propose a method to analyze action patterns of gameplay through Petri net model simulation with gameplay metrics data. The proposed method has practical simulation environments because of using gameplay metrics data, and it can analyze diversely like reachability, coverbility, and liveness given by Petri net model analysis. An application example of the proposed method using a Petri net modeling tool GPenSIM v4.0 is given to analyze the patterns of gameplay in game Pacman. The results of simulations is presented. The presented results show that the proposed method can analysis patterns of gameplay diversely.

An Improved Algorithm for Performance Evaluation of Communication Protocol Using Extended Timed Petri Nets (확장된 Timed Petri Net을 이용한 통신 프로토콜의 성능분석 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we represent an improved algorithm of performance evaluation for communication protocol. It is an algorithm that analyzes Extended Timed Perti Net models including time which have been successfully used to model and evaluate the performance of distributed system. While Timed Petri Nets generally limted to free-choice and safe nets, our algorithm permits the construnction of elegant models of restricted concurrent processing. Furthermore, to reduce the state space size of Timed Reachability Graph, we improve the algorithm by using Maximum Firing Rule and sets of simultaneously firing transitions. Procedures for constructing of Timed Reachability Graphs and analyzing are presented, and we demonstrate the usefulness of this algorithm by applying it to the analysis of the communication protocol.

  • 최근 제조업체들은 고객의 다양한 요구와 제품의 Life Cycle 단축에 따른 제조환경의 변화 에 직면하고 있다. 이러한 변화에 능동적으로 대처하기 위한 수단으로 효율성과 유연성이 크게 부각된 유연생산시스템(FMS)의 역할은 대단히 크다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 유연생산시스템을 평가하고 모델링하는 도구인 Petri net 모델링 기법을 이용하여 효율성이 뛰어난 흐름생산방식을 적용한 복잡한 유연생산 시스템의 통제시스템 모델 설정과 시스템정지(deadlock) 예방에 대한 분석을 하였으며, AGVs의 셀이동 생산시스템을 제어할수 있는 FMS의 계층적 TPN 모델링을 구축하였다.

  • SIBs(Service Independent Building block) are defined in CCITT advanced intelligent network concept model for supporting various services in the future. This paper describes the protocol modeling and verification for basic call process SIB. For modeling, we use Petri Net and verify this modeling by analyzing reachability tree of Petri Net. Results of this paper should be used for design and implementation of basic call process SIB.

  • 시간 페트리 네트는 실시간 값을 갖는 이산사건 시스템을 모델링하고 해석하기 위한 방법중 하나이다. 시간 페트리 네트는 각 트랜지션에 대하여 두 개의 시간 값, 최초 발화 시간 $\alpha$$_{i}$와 최종 발화 시간 $\beta$$_{i}$를 갖는다. 본 논문에서는 최적 발화 시간을 결정하기 위하여 퍼지 이론을 적용한 퍼지 트랜지션 시간 페트리 네트를 제안하였다. 퍼지 트랜지션 시간 페트리 네트의 트랜지션 점화 시간 ${\gamma}$$_{i}$는 고정 최초 발화 시간 $\alpha$$_{i}$와 고정 최종 발화 시간 $\beta$$_{i}$ 사이에서 어떠한 복잡한 계산 절차나 임의의 조건 없이 입력정보를 이용한 퍼지 이론으로부터 결정된다. 교차로에서 교통 신호제어기는 퍼지 트랜지션 시간 페트리 네트에 의하여 모델링되고 해석되었다. 퍼지 트랜지션 시간 페트리 네트의 중요한 특성은 교통 신호기의 모델링과 시뮬레이션에 의해서 보여진다. 의해서 보여진다.

  • This paper introduces a Petri Net-based multimedia programming method. For this purpose, we are proposing MPN(Multimedia Petri Net) which can be used for representing a multimedia scenario. We are also introducing methods to analyze a MPN with which we can detect some kinds of design faults in the scenario. A multimedia program replays the scenario by interpreting the MPN. A method to implement such a multimedia program is also discussed. Our multimedia program provides the manipulation functions of stop, play, fast forward. rewind, and fast rewind. There are many varieties of Petri Net. Several of them are for modeling multimedia scenarios. They all have been used for synchronization analysis. But none of them were used for replaying multimedia scenario. We have extended these nets to MPN. A MPN model contains not only the flow of a scenario but also all the information associated with the data units. Therefore, our player can play the multimedia scenario by interpreting the MPN.

  • Software system modeling has a goal for finding and solving system's problems by describing and analyzing system model in formal notations. Petri nets, as graphical formalism, have been used in describing and analyzing the software systems such as parallel systems, real-time system, and protocols. In the analysis of Petri nets, general system properties such as deadlock and liveness are analyzed by the reachability analysis. On the other side, specific properties such as functional requirements and constraints are checked by model-checking. However, since these analysis methods are based on enumeration of ail possible states, there nay be state explosion problem, which means that system states exponentially increase as the size of system is larger. In this paper, we propose a new method for mechanically checking system properties with avoiding state explosion problem. At first, system properties are described in property nets then the system model and the property net are composed and analyzed. In the compositional analysis, system parts irrelevant to the specific property are reduced to minimize the analysis domain of the system. And it is possible to mechanically check whether a specific property is satisfied or not.

  • The advent of cryptography has become a means of obtaining real monetary benefits to hackers, which has recently led to a surge in the number of Ransomware and the associated damage has increased significantly. It is expected that malicious codes will be expanded to new areas by meeting passwords, and Ransomware will be further increased in the future. To solve these problems, we need a model that can detect and block intrusion of Ransomware by analyzing the intrusion path of Ransomware. In this paper, we collect and analyze the data of Ransomware, and create and analyze Ransomware's color Petri net model.

  • 본 논문은 인터넷 상에서 전자상거래가 이루어지는데 기본적으로 요구되는 보안성을 강화하기 위해 침입탐지 전자지불 프로토콜을 제안하였다. 여기서 침입탐지 기능이란 저보 전송이 이루어지는 순간마다 침입이 발생하였는지 탐지하도록 하므로써 신속한 탐지가 이루어지도록 하는 기능을 말한다. 제안된 침입탐지 전자지불 프로토콜의 타당성, 안정성을 분석하기 위해 페트리네트와 CPN(Coloured PetriNet)을 이용하여 모델링하였다. 또한 암호화 논리의 유용한 검증 도구로서 BAN(Burrows-Abadi-Needham)논리 시스템과 Kailar 논리 시스템을 이용하여 프로토콜의 타당성과 안정성을 확인 ·검증하였다.

  • In this paper, we present a Petri Net (PN) model for reliability analysis of fault-tolerant database system models that consists of components one shared memory, bus, processors and database (disk). Each component can be failed and repaired individually. The system is operational as long as database and one of component is operational. We develop Stochastic Reward Net (SRN) Model for reliability analysis of database system. SRN is potential to define various reward functions. and can be easily used to obtain performance measures. The modeling techniques using variable cardinality, enabling function, timed transition priority in SRN are shown.
