The stepwise regression analysis has enabled the researcher to determine which variables are the most important reflecting the personal characteristics theorized as "locus of control": self-efficacy, needs for achievement, personal traits, and barriers to business progress The analysis reveals that the progress of business does have an association and is dependent on the source of capital and education, needs for achievement and locus of control.

  • Given social problems of service addiction such as mobile messenger services(MMSs), many studies on service management and information systems have examined the negative outcomes of service addiction. MMS addiction significantly influences user's health and academic performance. In this regard, this study investigated the effects of MMS addiction on user's health and academic performance problems. We posit personal traits and service features as key antecedents of MMS addiction. The research framework was tested by using survey data collected from 162 university students who have frequently used Kakaotalk. The analysis results found that MMS addiction significantly influences users' health and academic performance problems. The findings of this study indicate that self-esteem and self-control play an important role in generating MMS addiction. While attention significantly affects MMS addiction, social relationship formation and perceived enjoyment are not significantly associated with MMS addiction. The analysis results help MMS providers and government establish policies or guidelines to induce healthy MMS use.

The results of this study are as follow: One's sense of social self-efficacy and self-esteem were both found to affect appearance management behavior significantly. In other words, the greater one's sense of social self-efficacy, which represents one's sense of confidence in inter-personal relations, the greater one's appearance management behaviors to enhance her own value. Furthermore, the greater one's self-esteem(the way one feels positively about oneself), the greater one's appearance management behaviors. We derive three personal traits(positive technology readiness, negative technology readiness and individual's expertise) as antecedent variables that affect intention to use mobile banking from previous studies, and adopt a technology readiness and acceptance model(TRAM) to investigate factors that determine an individual's intention to use mobile banking. TRAM, which integrates technology readiness index(TRI) into the technology acceptance model (TAM) in the context of consumer adoption of e-service systems, is adopted to examine personal traits influencing on the factors forming the attitude of mobile banking. The new findings of this study are as follows. First, individual's expertise and positive technology readiness(ptr) have significant effect on both perceived usefulness and perceived easy of use. However, negative technology readiness(ntr) has significant effect on only perceived easy of use.
