Non-contact critical current measurement of superconducting coated conductor using Hall Probe (Hall Probe를 이용한 초전도선재의 비접촉 임계전류 측정 방법)

  • The hall probe measurement system was used to measure the critical current distribution of superconducting coated conductor. The system consists of reel to reel moving apparatus, 7 array hall probe, a rotary encoder and permanent magnet. The magnetic field profile across the width of superconducting coated conductor using Bean's critical state model was calculated. The effect of various parameters of the formulas on the magnetic field distribution and the effect of shape and size of artificial defects, which were formed on the surface of SmBa2Cu3O7-d(SmBCO) coated conductor using laser marking system, on the hall probe magnetic field signal of the hall probe measurement system was investigated.

  • Wave power generation as an environmentally -friendly energy has received the attention. In this paper, therefore, the tubular type Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Generator (PMLSG) is proposed for wave power generation. The characteristics of tubular type PMLSG are investigated by analysis using a Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Moreover, the operating performance of generator under no-load and load with variable resistance is examined. And Taguchi method is applied for considering tolerance in manufacture. The results of FEA show that proposed tubular type PMLSG is a useful solution for small-scale wave power generation.

  • This paper deals with back-EMF characteristic comparison of Vertical and Halbach array double-sided linear generator with coreless type. On the basis of a magnetic vector potential and Maxwell's equations, governing equations are obtained, and magnetic modeling is predicting characteristic analysis by using the Fourier series expansion. And then, we obtained magnetic field solutions and calculated resistance, back-EMF constant. The analytical results used by 2-D cylindrical coordinate system. The analytical method used in this paper is confirmed by comparing with finite element analysis results.

  • This paper reports a novel high-speed fluid injection system employing a simple magnetic micoractuator. This magnetic microacutator consists of current carrying copper beams and permanent magnet under the beams. There were many efforts to magnetic microactuator realization using conducting coils [1-2]. Even though many of magnetic microactuators were successfully fabricated and tested, it is true that most them suffer complex fabrication processes and thus higher production costs than electrostatic counterparts. In this research, efforts were concentrated on the microactuator realization that has simple structure, low production cost, and mass production possibility.

  • This paper treated the design and performance test of high speed motor/generator used in the flywheel energy storage system. The unique characteristics of the motor in this paper is the it doesn't contain any magnetic material. The field system was constructed by using Halbach array that generates the magnetic field with the permanent magnet only. The armature was also composed of plastic bobbin and winding. This paper shows the design results have a good agreement with the experimental results.

  • High speed brushless permanent magnet (PM) machines are a key technology for electric drives and motion control systems for many application, since they are conductive to high efficiency, high power density small size and low weight. Proposed slotless PM machine is constructed without stator winding slots. Its stator magnetic material is in the form of a ring and winding have a toroidal configuration and its rotor consists of a 4-pole Halbach array or radially magnetized PM rotor.

  • Magnetic levitation system with the advantages of non-contact, no friction and no wear can satisfy the requirement of high precision and high speed positioning. In this paper, magnetic levitation positioning stage which mainly consists of planar coil and HALBACH permanent magnet array and its control and driving system are designed. Magnetic levitation system is a highly nonlinear and strongly coupled complex system and its control performance can be influenced by the uncertainty and external disturbance. So exact feedback linearization method is used to realize exact linearization and decoupling, and a strategy of sliding mode control based on disturbance observer is proposed to compensate the uncertainty and external disturbance. Detailed proofs of observer's convergence property and system stability are derived. Both the simulation and experiment results verify the effectiveness of sliding mode control algorithm based on disturbance observer.

  • This paper presents drive analysis of slotless air-cored PM linear synchronous motor using two-dimensional analytical method. In order to calculate dynamic characteristic, back-EMF and linkage flux are calculated by Permanent Magnet Field and also inductance are given by slotless winding current coil. PMLSM drive simulation is performed by PI control system.

  • This paper deals with a simulation and a position control for linear synchronous motor with Halbach array (HA) permanent magnet mover. We derived decouple the forces (thrust, normal force) by magnetic field modeling of the electromagnetic field analysis. The results of control simulation for HA-PM having air-core primary are calculated using M Simulink.

  • This paper deals with the prediction of characteristic for permanent magnet linear synchronous motor(PMLSM). The open-circuit field distribution is predicted using a two-dimensional(2-D) analytical solution derivd in terms of magnetic vector potential. The slotting and skew effect is considered using the relative permeance function. and than using this result, flux linkage and back EMF is calculated. The results are validated extensively by finite element(FE) analyses and measurement.
