For any integer $n{\geq}2$, each palindrome of n induces a circulant graph of order n. It is known that for each integer $n{\geq}2$, there is a one-to-one correspondence between the set of (resp. aperiodic) palindromes of n and the set of (resp. connected) circulant graphs of order n (cf. [2]). This bijection gives a one-to-one correspondence of the palindromes ${\sigma}$ with $gcd({\sigma})=1$ to the connected circulant graphs. It was also shown that the number of palindromes ${\sigma}$ of n with $gcd({\sigma})=1$ is the same number of aperiodic palindromes of n. Let $a_n$ (resp. $b_n$) be the number of aperiodic palindromes ${\sigma}$ of n with $gcd({\sigma})=1$ (resp. $gcd({\sigma}){\neq}1$). Let $c_n$ (resp. $d_n$) be the number of periodic palindromes ${\sigma}$ of n with $gcd({\sigma})=1$ (resp. $gcd({\sigma}){\neq}1$). In this paper, we calculate the numbers $a_n$, $b_n$, $c_n$, $d_n$ in two ways. In Theorem 2.3, we $n_d$ recurrence relations for $a_n$, $b_n$, $c_n$, $d_n$ in terms of $a_d$ for $d{\mid}n$ and $d{\neq}n$. Afterwards, we nd formulae for $a_n$, $b_n$, $c_n$, $d_n$ explicitly in Theorem 2.5.

This paper describes the chaotic neuron model to represent the complicated states of brain and analyzes the dynamical responses of chaotic neuron such as periodic, bifurcation, and chaotic phenomena which are simulated iwth numerical analysis. Next, the chaotic neuron circuit is implemented w ith the analog electronic devices. The transfer function of chaotic neuron is given by summed the linear and nonlinear property. The output function of chaojtic neuron is designed iwth the two cMOS inverters and a feedback resistor. By adjusting the external voltage, the various dynamical properties are demonstrated. In addition, we construt the chaotic neural networks which are composed of the interconnection of chaotic neuroncircuit such as serial, paralle, and layer connection. On the board experiment, we proved the dynamci and chaotic responses which exist in the human brain.

The effects of periodic and chaotic behaviour in the Bonhoeffer-Van der Pol (BVP) oscillation of the nerve membrane driven by a periodic stimulating current A1 coswtare investigated through hardware implementation. For hardware implementation of the BVP model. real element values were escaled with computer simulation results to determine the parameter real value. As the parameter A1 varied in the range 0 to 1.3, the BVP model showed an ordinary and reversed period-doubling cascade and a chaotic state. At the low driving amplitude ofa1 the period-doubling showed and at the high driving amplitude of A1 the chaotic state occured. To analyse the BVP model for chaotic behaviour Phase Plane, Time series are used to verify that properties.

The PMMA plates with periodic ~200 nm nanosized patterned array were fabricated through the nanoimprint technique with their proper Ni stamper. The computer coding was also made with the Mathematica language software via RCWA (Rigorous Continuous Wave Analysis) and it is confirmed that simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental ones.
Vertical profiles of mean and fluctuating wind velocities over water waves were studied, by performing Large-Eddy Simulations (LES) on a fully developed turbulent boundary layer over simplified water waves. The water waves were simplified to two-dimensional, periodic and non-evolving. Different wave steepness defined by $a/{\lambda}$ (a : wave amplitude; ${\lambda}$ : wavelength) and wave age defined by $c/U_b$ (c: phase velocity of the wave; $U_b$ : bulk velocity of the air) were considered, in order to elaborate the characteristics of mean and fluctuating wind profiles. Results shows that, compared to a static wave, a moving wave plays a lesser aerodynamic role as roughness as it moves downstream slower or a little faster than air, and plays more aerodynamic roles when it moves downstream much faster than air or moves in the opposite direction to air. The changes of gradient height, power law index, roughness length and friction velocity with wave age and wave amplitude are presented, which shed light on the wind characteristics over real sea surfaces for wind engineering applications.

Pulse boiling, the unsteady periodic boiling phenomenon appearing in the evaporator of thermosyphons was investigated by many researchers. In the present study investigations were conducted to examine the evolution of flow patterns at the evaporator, and changes in thermodynamic state that each of liquid pool and vapor experiences through 1 cycle of pulse boiling process. For wall and liquid pool the degree of superheat for the onset of nucleation was examined. It revealed that the degree of superheat increased with the increase of pulse period, reaching to 16.5 deg.C and 23 deg.C for liquid pool and evaporator wall respectively at .tau.=80 sec. The data on flow patterns obtained through series of operation tests were plotted in the coordinates of heat flux and vapor pressure to get a regime map. Further this map could be used to figure out the conditions of pulse boiling for a thermosyphon.

Objectives. This study was carried out to evaluate hearing impairment judgement and to investigate the differences in various diagnostic criteria for noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) among workers who required for close observation (C). Methods. Out of 731,029 workers who had taken the specific periodic health examination in 1994, we used the audiometric data on 37,999 workers (C) eliminating the employees who had previous otologic problems. Many investigators have being using different criteria for the evaluation of hearing impairment. In this study, we used the criteria of early (1989-1994), current, compensation for NIHL in Korea, 2-, 3-, 4-divided classification and hearing loss at 4,000 Hz and compared the evaluation results. Results. The prevalences of C and workers who had occupational disease $(D_1)$ diagnosed for NIHL were 11.1 % and 0.44 %. There were significant difference in the prevalences of C and $D_1$, depending on different province of Korea. Pure tone averages (PTAs) were not appropriately applied in their evaluation 97% of workers whom we studied on were below the level of mild hearing loss judged by ISO standard. However, there were wide variations in the prevalence rate of mild hearing loss by diagnostic criteria. Thus, there were different judgements in determining the degree of NIHL depending on which diagnostic criteria were utilized. PTAs were found 20.54 (Rt) and 20.74 (Lt) when the method of 3-divided classification was applied for audiometric data. The degree of hearing impairment of the left ear was more severe than that of right ear. The prevalence of normal hearing threshold below 20 dB was 75.4% and the range of difference in both ear was below 10 dB. Right sided hearing threshold levels were 21.08 dB (500 Hz), 18.44 dB (1,000 Hz), 22.09 (2,000 Hz) and 52.36 dB (4,000 Hz). There was typical high frequency loss (C5-dip at 4,000 Hz) above 30 - 40 dB in normal hearing level. The increasing trend in hearing threshold level was gradually decreased by the increase of PTAs. The difference between PTAs and threshold at 4,000 Hz was about 10 dB. Conclusions. We could found that PTAs in the previous examination were not appropriately evaluated. This study revealed that they did not use unique criteria for managing the workers of NIHL. For the prevention of NIHL, it was found that the quality control on diagnosis and comprehensive management program were required, especially for those of hearing loss (C).

Objectives: The aim of the study was to evaluate the anti-asthmatic effect of alismatis rhizoma and alisol acetate B combination therapy in a murine asthma model. Methods: C57BL/6 mice were sensitized to and challenged with a mixture of ragweed, dust mite, and aspergillus to induce an asthma animal model. Alismatis rhizoma extract and alisol acetate B combination therapy was co-administered only in the experimental group. To evaluate the anti-asthmatic effect of the combination therapy, inflammatory cell counts in bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) fluid were determined, and tissue was examined histologically with hematoxylin and eosin (H & E) and periodic acid-Schiff (PAS) stains, by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) of IgE, IL-4, and IL-5, and with reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) of IL-5, IL-33, MUC5AC. Results: Alismatis rhizoma and alisol acetate B combination therapy reduced the number of inflammatory cells, alleviated histologic features, and down-regulated all the investigated asthma mediators, IgE, IL-4, IL-5, IL-33, and MUC5AC. Conclusions: According to the above results, alismatis rhizoma and alisol acetate B combination therapy may have therapeutic potential for asthma.
The clack of Insulator, which results from internal or external surges such as electrical, mechanical, and thermal stress, might cause ground fault and a power failure without proper repairs. In order to minimize losses caused by a short-term or long-term power failure, it is necessary to detect the deteriorated insulator as early as possible. To do so, we will develop a new device, which can detect and trace an deteriorated insulator by monitoring its physical change the variation of frequency spectrum. This device will do so by finding a Periodic wave sharp (120 Hz), a peculiar wave generated by defused electricity.
In this paper, a real-time communication method using a PICNET-NP(Plant Instrumentation and Control Network for Nuclear Power plant) is proposed with an analysis of the control network requirements of DCS (Distributed Control System) in nuclear power plants. The method satisfies deadline in case of worst data traffics by considering aperiodic and periodic real-time data and others. In addition, the method was used to analyze the data characteristics of the DCS in existing nuclear power plant. The result shows that use of this method meets the response time requirement(100ms)
