Objectives : This study was intended to investigate the differences of job stressors between managers and low level employees among white-collar workers. Another objective of this study was to examine whether the effects of job stressors on mental health differ between the two groups. Methods : Data was obtained from 204 managers and 258 low level employees who were employed in white-collar jobs. Fourteen job stressors and seven job stress variables were measured. Results : Among the 14 job stressors, role overload, job insecurity, and work-family conflict were higher job stressors for the manager group whereas role conflict, work-aptitude incongruity, participation in decision making, and promotion problems were higher job stressors for the low level of employees. There were no differences in job stress scores between the two groups. However, differences in the effects of job stressors on job stress were found between the two groups. For the manager group, job insecurity, work-aptitude incongruity, and work-family conflict significantly affected in explanation of job stress whereas for the low level employees, role underload, peer satisfaction, and environmental problems significantly explaining the job stress variables. Conclusions : There were significant differences in job stressors between managers and low level employees among white-collar workers. Additionally there were differences in the effects of job stressors on job stress between the two groups.
In modern society, the amount of alcohol ingestion is increasing at a dangerous level, especially among women. One of reason for increased alcohol consumption is stress caused by social pressures. Alcohol is a kind of depressant of centric nervous system, so it can induce relaxation of body and decrease the stress. The evidence on the effects of alcohol on the fetus is somewhat hazy, whereas that of smoking is quite clear. The literature on the ingestion of alcohol strongly suggests that drinking during pregnancy is associated with teratogenic effect and low birth weight. Therefore, the adverse effect of alcohol ingestion during pregnancy must be informed to public. More remarkable warning sign about alcohol ingestion must be attached on the top of bottles. This can be an effective measure for public education. Also legal sanction or tax imposition for the production of liquor be required. First of all, drinking habit or drinking culture must be changed. In fact, the strongest motivation of drinking in adolescent is a peer pressure which is related to drinking habit or culture. Secondly, early detection and treatment must be required to prevent from fetal alcohol syndrome. Accordingly, drinking history of pregnant women must be assessed as early as possible and health professional should give a warning about the abstinence of alcohol to drinking women. Thirdly, to minimize the adverse effects for mother, withdrawal syndrome by alcohol ingestion must be treated. to correct the malformation by fetal alcohol syndrome(FAS) can be corrected. Sometimes surgical intervention may be required for this purpose.
Objective: The aim of this study sets factors from previous research known to impact transfer effects as the independent variables, and examines their relationship with the dependent variables, near transfer effects and far transfer effects. Background: Transfer of Training refers to the application of what learners acquire knowledge and skills in training programs to their job. The ultimate goal of training is to apply what employees learn in training sessions to their workplace. In this sense, transfer of training has been a vital concern for training effectiveness. For training to be effective, trainees(learners) should be able to use what they learn in training program back on the job. Method: For this research purpose, this study conducted a survey on 170 nuclear operators in nuclear education and training center. Of these, survey result from the 167 recruits were sampled. Theoretical model of this study is based on Holton & Baldwin's(2003) distance model of transfer effects. This study sets transfer effects(near transfer, far transfer) as the main dependent variables. Meanwhile, the independent variables are trainee characteristics, training characteristics, organizational transfer climate. Each independent variable has subordinate variables. Subordinate variables of trainee characteristics are self-efficacy, motivation to learn, motivation to transfer and ability to transfer. Subordinate variables of training characteristics are training contents, ability of trainers, training design, training climate. The last Subordinate variables of organizational transfer climate are support of supervisors, support of peer, support of organization. Conclusion: As a analysis result, trainee characteristics appeared to be in effect only significant influence near far transfer of training, the effect of the far transfer of training, there is no significant. In addition, the training characteristics appeared to be having a significant influence on near and far transfer effects. Organizational transfer climate appeared to be having a significant influence on near and far transfer effects. Finally, near transfer effect appeared to be having a significant influence on far transfer effects. Application: Results of this analysis in the study to training organization and training characteristics of the transition environment effects on nuclear power institutions and operators training organization having a significant impact that says. The transfer of knowledge and technology, as well as that can be applied to a new situation in terms of education and training are important characteristics.
This research performed the empirical test for the effects of learning transfer on perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, self-efficacy and work environment using 390 employees who have experienced e-learning in domestic and foreign companies. Analyzed the mediating effects of self-efficacy and work environment in addition to direct effect of each factor on learning transfer. The results showed that perceived usefulness and perceived ease-of-use of e-learning learner had a positive(+) effect on self-efficacy and a positive influence on supervisor and peer support and organizational climate. Self-efficacy showed a positive effect on learning transfer, and supervisor support, peer support and organizational climate had a positive influence on learning transfer as well. Perceived usefulness also had a positive effect on learning transfer. However, perceived ease-of-use had no significant effect on learning transfer. As a result of the mediating effect analysis, self-efficacy and work environment were analyzed to have mediating effects between perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and learning transfer. The implications of this study are as follows. First, this study designed a new research model that reflects factors influencing the effect of learning transfer on acceptance of e-learning that is common in corporate education. It has derived a research model of perceived usefulness and perceived ease-of-use, which were used as mediating variables for external characteristics factors, as independent variables, using self-efficacy and work environment as mediating variables, which were studied as external factors. Second, most of the studies on technology acceptance model and learning transfer are conducted in a single country. The reliability was enhanced by testing the study models using different samples from 26 countries. Third, perceived usefulness and ease-of-use in existing studies have been considered as key determinants of acceptance intention and learning transfer. This study explored the mediating effects of learner and environmental factors on the accepted information technology and strengthened and supplemented the path of learning transfer of perceived usefulness and ease-of-use. In addition, based on the sample analysis of various countries used in this study, it is expected that future international comparative studies will be possible.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of self-esteem, relationships with parents and peer relationships on adolescents' school adjustment. Total of 900 middle school students residing in Guri, Geonggi-Do participated in the survey and the data collected from 874 students (557 male and 317 female students) were analyzed for this study. The followings summarize results of the study. First, the findings suggested that there is no significant difference between female and male students in school adjustment. Secondly, the study revealed that there is no difference between female and male students in self-esteem and relationship with parents. Thirdly, this study provided clear evidence that students with high self-esteem and close relationship with parents and schoolmates adapt to school life better than those with low self-esteem and distant relationship with parents and schoolmates. Fourthly, students with high self-esteem and close relationship with parents and schoolmates displayed higher adaptability to school life, and as for male students, close relationship with schoolmates was the most prominent factor which helps them adapt to school life better while female students' adaptability to school lifewas mainly affected by relationship with parents.

Purpose: This study was done to construct and verify a model of turnover intention in clinical nurses, considering the effects of compassion fatigue, coping, social support, and job satisfaction. Methods: For this study a cross-sectional correlational design was used. Participants were 283 clinical nurses in four general hospitals. Data were collected using a questionnaire and were analyzed with descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient and path analysis. Results: The modified model of turnover intention had a good fit in this study. Turnover intention was influenced by job satisfaction, and job satisfaction was affected by workload, problem-focused coping, peer support, family-friend support and compassion fatigue. Compassion fatigue was associated with occupational trauma events, problem-focused coping and emotional-focused coping. Job satisfaction was the most important factors controlling nurse's turnover intention. Conclusion: Findings show that job satisfaction, compassion fatigue, and traumatic events are important factors influencing turnover intention. Nurse managers try to manage job satisfaction, compassion fatigue, support, and coping for nurses, it could be expected making proper nursing circumstance.
This study investigated the integrated effects of family and school factors on the cyber behavior of adolescents. Specifically, the purposes of this study were to categorize adolescents into groups by family and school factors and to find investigate differences among the groups regarding cyber behavior (internet use, internet purpose, and internet experience). no study distributed the questionnaires to middle and high school adolescent students of five representative cities in South Korea. The total respondents were 2240 (960 from Seoul/kyongki, and 320 each from Taegu, Pusan, Kwangiu, and Taejon). The response rate w3s 98.7%. no data were analyzed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, and Duncan test. The results showed that Korean adolescents were segmented into four groups (family preference/school preference group, family dissatisfaction/teacher dissatisfaction group, family average/school average group, family average/peer dissatisfaction group). The four groups were significantly different in regard to cyber behavior. For example, the family dissatisfaction/teacher dissatisfaction group u%d internet to relieve stress and used communication more than the other groups. Also, the group had more diverse cyber behavior including internet addiction. The implications of the study were further discussed.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of parental attachment on the subjective well-being of undergraduate students and the role of perfectionism. Undergraduate students(N=416) were administered a questionnaire on parent and peer attachment, and the results were characterized by the well-being scale, and multidimensional perfectionism scale. The results indicated that trust had a positive effect on life satisfaction, whereas isolation had a negative effect on life satisfaction. Parental communication had a positive effect on self-oriented perfectionism and socially prescribed perfectionism. Self-orientated perfectionism and socially prescribed perfectionism had a positive effect on positive affection and life satisfaction and, socially prescribed perfectionism had a positive effect on negative affection. A hierarchial strategy for multiple regression was conducted to examine the role of perfectionism. The result indicated that self-oriented perfectionism mediated the effect of communication on positive affection, and socially prescribed perfectionism mediated the effect of trust on negative affection. In addition, socially prescribed perfectionism mediates the effect of isolation on negative affection.

Purpose: The purposes of this study are as follows: Identifying the types of bullying; describing the relationship among social support, parent-adolescent communication and bullying types; identifying factors influencing the bullying. Method: 374 subjects were 5-6th grade students of two elementary schools in Daejeon. We collected the data from June 10 to October 29, 2002. The data were analyzed by using the frequency, ANOVA, pearson's correlation and stepwise multiple regression in the SPSS. Result: The 7 % of the subjects were found as bullies and another 23.8 % as victims, while 25.9 % were found as bully-victim group. The number of the victims in peer-support got less than in the normal or bully group. In the correlation analysis, the score of bullies, victims and bully-victim group were reversely-correlated with the social support. The score of victims was reversely-correlated with the mother-adolescent communication. In regression analysis, the social support influenced significant effects on both the bullies and victims. Conclusion: Findings indicated that the health professionals need to identify social support and parent-adolescent communication according to bullying types. Therefore, adequate approaches for the three independent groups of bullying are necessary.
The purpose of this study to gather information on demographic statistics, children’s attachment to their mothers, and daily stress variants in order to assess their effects on child’s self-concept and depression within multi-ethnic familiy settings. A questionnaire survey was used to targeted 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th graders in elementary schools in Jeonnam. A total of 158 children were surveyed. SPSS for Windows 12.0 was used to carry out descriptive, and comparative statistical analysis such as Cronbach's $\alpha$, correlations analysis, and a hierarchical regression analysis. Result showed that the most significant variant affecting self-concept among children from multi-ethnic families was attachment to their mothers. Other related individual variants were in order of importance, communication skills, feelings of alienation, and mothers’ nationalities. The variant most responsible for having an affect on depression among children from multi-entnic families was the attachment to their mothers. Other related individual variants were in order of importance, feelings of alienation, stress from peer relationships, mothers’ nationalities, and stress from economic and physical environments.
