Purpose: This study was done to extend the understanding and knowledge of menopause by comparing attitudes toward menopause and menopausal symptoms of women religious and married women. Methods: The data were collected by self-report questionnaires from 126 women religious and 131 married women, between 40 and 59 years of age who lived in P city, D city and K province. A structured questionnaire was used which included demographic and health-related information, attitudes toward menopause, and menopausal symptoms. Data were analyzed by using $x^2$ test, t-test, and Pearson correlation coefficients with the SPSS/WIN 14.0 program. Results: The mean score for attitudes toward menopause of women religious and married women was $69.46{\pm}6.15$ and $66.98{\pm}6.12$ respectfully, and the difference was significant (p=.001). The mean score for menopausal symptoms of women religious and married women was $41.33{\pm}23.55$ and $55.99{\pm}30.81$ respectively, and the difference was also significant (p<.001). Attitudes toward menopause were negatively correlated with menopausal symptoms (r=-.27, p<.001).
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify factors affecting the quality of life among community-dwelling older women with urinary incontinence (UI). Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted with 475 women aged 60 or over who were recruited from 10 primary health care facilities in rural Korea. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire consisting of socio-demographic, health-related, and UI-related characteristics. The quality of life was assessed using Incontinence Quality of Life (I-QOL). SPSS/WIN 23.0 program was used to analyze descriptive statistics, $x^2$ test, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation, and hierarchical regression. Results: Of 475 subjects, 180 (37.9%) had urinary incontinence. The mean scores of I-QOL of women with and without UI were 76.87 and 94.77, respectively. The results of hierarchical regression analysis show that the Questionnaire for Urinary Incontinence Diagnosis total score was the greatest influencing factor, followed by age and the International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire-Short Form total score. Conclusion: The study revealed that factors related to UI symptoms are more likely to have impact on the quality of life in women with UI. It suggests that early detection or management of UI is important in improving the quality of life of women with UI.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the degree of health behavior, body composition and body image in college women by BMI. Method: The subjects consisted of 291 students classifying three groups (underweight, normal weight, overweight). The data were collected by a structured questionnaire and bioelectrical impedence analysis from October, 2003 to April, 2004. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS program including descriptive statistics, x$^2$-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test and Pearson Correlation Coefficient. The objectives of this study were to classify body types of 40s, 50s, 60s obese women according to body measurements and to investigate relationships between age and body types of obese women. Body measurement was made on 497 obese women in their 40s, 50s, 60s whose BMI (Body Mass Index) was 25.0 or more when directly measured in 'Size Korea 2004'. Data were analyzed through factor analysis, cluster analysis, Pearson's correlation coefficient, $X^2$-test, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, and Duncan's multiple range test. First. the obesity group with BMI being 25.0-30.0 was composed of 23.1% subjects in their 40s, 43.3% subjects in their 50s, and 50.0% subjects in their 60th, which demonstrates that the older subjects were, the higher the distribution was. Adding the high obesity group with BMI being more than 30.0 to the obesity group, women in their 60s were 56.7%, the most of obese bodies. Second, factor analysis of obese women's BMIs revealed that five factors were elicited, including upper-body circumference related factor, height related factor, lower-body circumference related factor, upper-body width related factor, and upper-body related factor. As a result of analyzing the clusters, three types of body shapes were classified including upper-lower obesity, upper obesity, and lower obesity. Third, obese women were thicker or wider than non-obese individuals in those factors including upper-body circumference, lower-body circumference, and body width, and longer in upper-body length, while non-obese individuals were higher or longer than obese individuals in height related factors.

In this study we are concerned with the diagnostics method of cross-classified categorical data using logistic regression model of binary response models for cell proportions. under this model, we could examine the goodness-of-fit of the models using Pearson's $x^2$test statistic and likelihood ratio statistic. Under this model, these statistics are assumed that sample survey schemes are with replacement sampling model. But these statistics are often inappropriate for analysing contingency tables consists of complex sampling schemes obtained sample survey data. In this study we are examined diagnostics procedures detecting any outlying cell proportions and influential observations on design space in logistic regression modeltake account of the survey design effects.
It is one of the important study for improving education quality to investigate School climate, Campus Life and Academic Achievement in University. This study focuses on the of success / failure attribution in academic achievement and its internal-external attribution of Maritime college students. The main purpose of this study was investigate the relationship between the perception of college climate and attribution of success and failure about college life and cadet's academic performance. The subjects were 490 cadets of freshman, sophomore and junior of Korea Maritime University. The data was analysed by Pearson's correlation, one-way and simple factorial ANOV A, $x^2$, and t-test by using SPSSWIN Ver. 7.5 programme. The major results of this study were as follows : 1. Social relationship orientation was higher than the others on the perception of college climate, while the relationship between professor and collegian was lower. 2. The most collegian recognized on the attribution of failure about the college life and the relationship between professor and collegian. But most collegian recognized on the attribution of sucess about collegian's relationship. 3. The perception of college climate and attribution of success / failure was not influenced on the student's academic performance and academic adaptability.

Purpose: This study was conducted to explore the relationship between aggression, self-esteem, and social withdrawal. Methods: This research is a cross-sectional survey. This study used the 5th-year data of the Korean Children & Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) including 218 middle school students having delinquent behavior. The collected data was analyzed through $x^2$ test, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and hierarchical multiple regression, using SPSS/Win (ver. 23.0). Results: Significant positive correlations were found between aggression and social withdrawal and between aggression and self-esteem. Higher aggression was associated with higher social withdrawal and lower self-esteem. The results of the 2-step regression are as follows. Aggression was negatively correlated with self-esteem, whereas self-esteem was positively correlated with social withdrawals. The hierarchical multiple regression showed that 21% of the variance of aggression was significantly accounted for by self-esteem and social withdrawal. The most significant factor influencing aggression was social withdrawal. Conclusion: These results suggest that earlier screening and intervention programs to increase self-esteem and decrease social withdrawal for early adolescents should be developed to prevent aggression.
Purpose : The Purpose of this study was to identify the physiological, psychological factors to successful weaning of mechanical ventilation in ICU patients. Method: Data was collected by interview with the use of questionnaires from 70 ICU patients, who were mechanically ventilated more than 3days at Y university medical center. Data was analyzed with descriptive statics, t-test, and $x^2$ test, and Pearson Coefficient Correlation using SPSS WIN 12.0 program. Result: ICU patients with mechanical ventilator during weaning period reported high levels of anxiety, moderate levels of stress, and fatigue. The physiological, psychological factors influencing ventilator weaning success were RSBI(p=0.007), stress(p=0.009), anxiety(p=0.020), depression(p=0.040), fatigue(p=0.001), and dyspnea(p=0.010). The RSBI factor was shown to have positive correlations with ventilator care periods, $PaCO_2$, and fatigue. Dyspnea was also positively correlated with stress, anxiety, depression, and fatigue. Conclusion: This study suggests that RSBI, stress, anxiety, depression, fatigue, and dyspnea are significant factors to successful weaning from mechanical ventilation.
