수평 평활관 및 전열촉진관내 대체 냉매 R-407C의 응축 열전달 특성에 관한 연구 (Heat Transfer Characteristics of R-407C During Condensing Inside Horizontal Smooth and Micro-Fin Tubes)

  • This paper reports the experimental results on heat transfer characteristics of R-22 and R-407C(HFC-32/125/134a 23/25/52 wt%) condensing inside horizontal smooth and finned tubes. The test condensers used In the study are double pipe heat exchangers of 7.5 mm ID, 9.5 mm OD smooth tube, and 60 finned micro-fin tube with 8.53 mm ID, 9.53 mm OD. Each of these tubes was 4 000 mm long tubes connected with an U-bend. These U type two-path test tubes are divided In 8 local test sections for the identification of the local condensing heat transfer characterisitcs and pressure drop, U-bend effects on condensing flows. Inlet quality is maintained 1.0, and refrigerant mass velocity is varied from 102.0 to $301.0kg/m^2{\cdot}s$. From the results, it was found that the pressure drop of the R-407C Increased, and heat transfer coefficient decreased compared to those of R-22. In comparison condensing heat transfer characteristics of micro-fm tube with those of smooth tube, increasing of condensing heat transfer coefficient was found outstanding compared to the increasing ratio of pressure drop. Furthermore, pressure drop In U-bend showed at most a 30 % compared to the total pressure drop in the test section.

124-142 GHz Dual-Polarization Superconducting Mixer Receiver for Korean VLBI Network

  • We have developed superconducting mixer receivers for 129 GHz VLBI observation in Korean VLBI Network(KVN). The developed mixer has a radial waveguide probe with simple transmission line LC transformer as a tuning circuit to its 5 series-connected junctions, which can have 125-165 GHz as operation RF frequency. For IF signal path a high impedance quarter-wavelength line connects the probe to one end of symmetric RF chokes. DSB receiver noise of the mixer was about 40 K over 4-6 GHz IF band whereas we achieved about uncorrected SSB noise temperature of 70 K and better than 10 dB IRR in 2SB configuration with 8-10 GHz IF band. Insert-type receiver cartridges using the mixers have been assembled for all three KVN stations. On-site performance summary in commissioning phase is presented.

An Experimental Study on the Thermal Performance of a Concentric Annular Heat Pipe

  • Concentric annular heat pipes (CAHP) were fabricated and tested to investigate their thermal characteristics. The CAHPs were 25.4 mm in outer diameter and 200 mm in length. The inner surface of the heat pipes was covered with screen mesh wicks and they were connected by four bridge wicks to provide liquid return path. Three different heat pipes were fabricated to observe the effect of change in diameter ratios between 2.31 and 4.23 while using the same outer tube dimensions. The major concern of this study was the transient response as well as isothermal characteristics of the heat pipe outer surface, considering the application as uniform heating device. A better performance was achieved as the diameter ratio increased. For the thermal load of 180 W, the maximum temperature difference on the outer surface in the axial direction of CAHP was $2.3^{\circ}C$ while that of the copper block of the same outer dimension was $5.9^{\circ}C.$ The minimum thermal resistance of the CAHP was measured to be $0.004^{\circ}C/W.$ In regard to the transient response during start-up, the heat pipe showed almost no time lag to the heat source, while the copper block of the same outer dimensions exhibited about 25 min time lag.

  • ICT기술이 차량 교통 시스템에 적용되면서 스마트한 도로 교통 시대(ITS)가 열리고 있다. 이러한 기술적 진보를 가져온 요소 중 하나는 고속으로 이동하는 차량과 인프라 간의 통신기술이다. IEEE802.11p기반의 WAVE 통신기술을 적용하여 도로교통의 다양한 안전서비스들과 운전자 편의 서비스들이 개발되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 ITS 서비스들의 품질을 보장하기 위해 필요한 link budget 분석을 수행하였다. 고속도로 환경에 적합한 경로손실 모델로 자유공간 모델과 two-ray모델을 통한 비교 분석을 통해 안정적인 통신 서비스가 가능한 셀 커버리지를 분석하였다.

화력발전소 보일러 급수용 펌프 배관계의 이상소음 저감에 관한 연구 (Study on Noise Control for Piping System of BFP in a Power Plant)

  • The purpose of this paper was to identify the mechanism that caused abnormal vibration and noise on the piping system connected to discharge flow of BFP(Boiler Feed water Pump) in a coal fired power plant, and to develop the device that can reduce the level of abnormal vibration and noise. Major results of this project can be summarized as follows: First, we analyzed the acoustic mode for the discharge piping of BFP to trace a path of the noise, and assumed that noise and vibration on the piping system can be related with length of pipe. Second, a minimized model of the piping system was set up to simulate abnormal vibration and noise within the specific range of operating frequencies, and as a result we confirmed that the acoustic mode affected the piping system considerably. Finally the test device which can reduce the level of abnormal noise and vibration was built to verify validity applying for the piping system. Then we concluded that the noise and vibration generated from the piping system was attributed to the acoustic resonance in piping system, and so developed new device which can reduce the level of noise and vibration under 40%.   • A security robot system named EGIS-SR is a mobile security robot through one of the new growth engine project in robotic industries. It allows home surveillance through an autonomous mobile platform using onboard cameras and wireless security sensors. EGIS-SR has many sensors to allow autonomous navigation, hierarchical control architecture to handle lots of situations in monitoring home surveillance and mighty networks to achieve unmanned security services. EGIS-SR is tightly coupled with a networked security environment, where the information of the robot is remotely connected with the remote cockpit and patrol man. It achieved an intelligent unmanned security service. The robot is a two-wheeled mobile robot and has casters and suspension to overcome a doorsill. The dynamic motion is verified through $ADAMS^{TM}$ simulation. For the main controller, PXA270 based hardware platform based on linux kernel 2.6 is developed. In the linux platform, data handling for various sensors and the localization algorithm are performed. Also, a local path planning algorithm for object avoidance with ultrasonic sensors and localization using $StarGazer^{TM}$ is developed. Finally, for the automatic charging, a docking algorithm with infrared ray system is implemented.

  • 최근 내비게이션 혹은 포털사이트에서는 길 찾기 안내 서비스에 집중 호우에 따른 도로의 실시간 정보를 제공하고 있다. 특히 '교통알림e' 에서는 도로의 침수 및 사고 유무에 따른 교통정보를 제공하고 있다. 본 연구는 기상청의 실시간 강우정보와 포털 사이트 등에서 제공하는 상태 정보를 연계하여 운전자에게 도로의 실시간 상태정보를 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위해서 실시간 강우정보와 포털 정보를 연계한 위험도로 평가 방안을 제시한다.

A study on the classification system of herbology

  • This paper reviews the historic origin and traits of the classification system used in current Korean herbology textbooks. By reassessing its value, it proposes the most relevant path for future revisions and supplementations. Through an evaluation of the history of the modern style of classification in terms of its efficacy and statistic analysis of the distribution of individual herbs in each category, this paper shows how the classification systems of Korean herbology textbooks were influenced by contemporary Chinese herbology, particularly that of the Cheong [淸] Dynasty. An examination of the academic background, strengths and weaknesses of each classification system demonstrates the need for future research on classification systems to concentrate on resolving the following issues: how well the setting and composition of each classification system reflects reality, and how closely it is connected to related sciences such as etiology and pathogenesis, prescriptionology, and diagnosis.

An Efficient Overlay for Unstructured P2P File Sharing over MANET using Underlying Cluster-based Routing

  • In traditional unstructured P2P file sharing network, each peer establishes connections with a certain number of randomly chosen other peers. This would lead to redundant traffic and P2P network partition in mobile ad hoc network (MANET). We propose an approach to construct an efficient unstructured P2P overlay over MANET using underlying cluster-based routing (CBRP). One of the peers in the P2P network is used as a root-peer to connect all peers. Each peer maintains connection with physically closer peers such that it can reach the root-peer. The peer constructs a minimum-spanning tree consisting of itself, its directly connected neighbor peers and 2-hop away neighbor peers to remove far away redundant links and to build an overlay closer to the physical network. Due to on-demand nature of inter-cluster routing of CBRP, the positioning algorithm for MANET is used to retrieve the file by a peer from the source peer via shorter path in the physical network. We can show by simulation that our approach performs better in comparison with the existing approach.

U-10wt%Zr 합금의 미세조직에 미치는 합금원소 첨가의 영향에 관한 연구

  • 고연소도 액체금속로용 금속연료를 개발하고자 U-l0wt%Zr 합금중 Zr 원소 대신에 X(:Si, Ta, Nb, W, Mo) 원소를 첨가한 U-7wt%Zr-3wt%X(:Si, Ta, Nb, W, Mo) 합금을 제조하여 미세조직에 미치는 합금원소 첨가의 영향을 조사하였다. 그 결과 U-7 wt%Zr-3wt%Si 합금을 제외한 모든 U-7wt%Zr-3wt%X(:Ta, Nb, W, Mo) 합금은 Matrix에 있어서 Laminar Structure를 그대로 유지하였다. U-7wt%Zr-3wt%Si 함금을 제외한 모든 U-7wt%Zr-3wt%X(:Ta, Nb, W, Mo) 합금의 주요한 상은 U-l0wt% Zr 합금과 마찬가지로 $\alpha$-U 및 $\delta$-UZr$_2$ 상이었다. U-7wt%Zr-3wt%X(:Ta, Nb, W, Mo) 합금은 U-l0wt%Zr 합금에 비해 Lamina Thickness가 크게 감소되었다. 특히 U-7wt%Zr-3wt%Mo 합금의 경우에 있어서는 U-l0wt%Zr 합금에 비해 1/3배 정도까지 Lamina Thickness가 크게 감소하였다. 이와 같은 합금원소 첨가에 의한 Laminar Structure의 미세화는 액체금속로강 금속연료내 Fission Gas의 Inter-connected Path가 보다 더 잘 형성됨으로 인해 Fission Gas Bubble에 대한 방출속도를 크게 증가시켜서 궁극적으로는 Fission Gas Bubble에 의한 Swelling을 저감시킬 것으로 기대된다.
