Servey and Analysis of Use Behavior in Children's Parks - Focused on Housing Development Area in Daegu - (어린이공원 이용행태 조사.분석 - 대구광역시 택지개발지구를 중심으로 -)

  • We investigated space establishment and land use of children's parks by studying movement of users in and out of the parks with a questionnaire survey, video and analysis, and then analyzed the characteristics of how the facilities and the space of the parte are used. The results are as follows. First, when considering the character of the facilities of children's parks, entertainment facilities should receive priority followed by those for relaxation and those for convenience. When considering the position of facilities in the parks, because activity spaces may have similar functions to multi-purpose paved spaces, common use of these two spaces should be considered. Entrances and lines of movement should be kept in mind. Second, when considering the surrounding land uses, in case a play facility at a large-sized complex or an elementary school is adjacent, the exercise facilities may be more important, followed by play and rest facilities. In case there is a broad path around the parte, the way in which movement occurs into the central axis should be considered so that the other side of the broad way is not included in the children's play space. Third, proper control of roads adjacent to the parse is needed to protect children from danger.

  • In this paper, algorithm and testable circuit to find all PSF(Pattern Sensitive Fault ) occured in RAM were proposed. Conventional test circuit and algorithm took much time in testing because consecutive test for RAM cells or f-dimensional memory struciure was not employed. In this paper, methodology for parallel RAM-testing was proposed by compensating additional circuit for test to conventional RAM circuit. Additional circuits are parallel comparator, error detector, group selector circuit and a modified decoder used for parallel testing. And also, the constructive method of Eulerian path to obtain efficient test pattern was performed. Consequently, If algorithm proposed in this paper Is used, the same operations as 32sxwor4 lines will be needed to test b x w=n matrix RAM. Circuit simulation was performerd, and 10 bits x :If words testable RAM was designed.

The Design and Implementation of the Collision Avoidance Warning Function in the Air Traffic Control System (항공관제 시스템에서 항공기 공중충돌 경고기능의 설계 및 구현)

  • An aircraft collision accident is a disaster that causes great losses of inventories and lives. Though a collision avoidance warning function is provided automatically to pilots in the aircrafts by the enhancement of the aircraft capability, achieving fast decision-making to escape a collision situation is a complex and dangerous work for pilots. If an in-flight collision situation is controlled by the air traffic control system which monitors all airplanes in the air, it would be more efficient to prevent in-flight collisions because it can handle the emergency before the pilot's action. In this paper, we develop the collision avoidance warning function in the air traffic control system. Specifically, we design and implement the five stages of the collision avoidance function, and propose a visualization method which could effectively provide the operators with the trajectories and altitudes of the aircrafts in a collision situation. By developing an in-flight collision warning function in the air traffic control system that visualizes flight patterns through the state transition data of in-flight aircrafts on the flight path lines, it can effectively prevent in-flight collisions with traffic alerts. The developed function allows operators to effectively select and control the aircraft in a collision situation by providing the operators with the expected collision time, the relative distance, and the relative altitude while assessing the level of alert, and visualizing the alert information which includes the Attention-Warning-Alert phase via embodying the TCAS standard. With the developed function the air traffic control system could sense an in-flight collision situation before the pilot's decision-making moment.

  • In this study, we examined the satisfaction level of J university's compulsory liberal arts subject with quantitative research. The results quantitative research are as follows. First, men are more interested in creative thinking, college life guidance and career path design than girls. Second, the level of satisfaction with the required liberal arts subject by grade was found to be without a statistical significant difference. Third, the satisfaction level of each line of learning was shown in the order of natural engineering, health and welfare, physical fitness, and humanities. The satisfaction level of the lines of learning was found to vary. Fourth, The satisfaction level of each campus was found to vary. The results of this study could be used as basic data to improve the college liberal arts curriculum, especially the compulsory liberal arts curriculum. The Size of Calcaneus in Koreans (한국인의 종골 크기)

  • Purpose: Open reduction and internal fixation of calcaneal fracture using plate has been used. While numerous plates have been manufactured, most of the conventional plates are designed for westerners, realistically the size is larger for Korean. The domestic products, on the other hand, often have the undesirable screw holes and path. Therefore, we measured the radiologic parameter of Korean calcaneus for providing the plate and screw hole placements. Materials and Methods: We measured the outer lines and angles with over the 20 years old 291 females and 322 males. A: Length of inferior plane of calcaneus, B: Length of anterior plane of calcaneus, C: Length from line A to sinus tarsi, D: Length from line A to posterior point of posterior facet, E: Length from line A to calcaneal tuberosity, F: Length of posterior facet, G: Length from anterior point of line A to C, H: Length from line C to line D, a: Angle between A and B, b: Gissane angle, c: Bohler angle, d: Calcaneal pitch angle using Marosis m-view$^{(R)}$. Results: Mean A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H were 63.6, 26.4, 23.2, 43.7, 40.5, 26.9, 12.8, 18.1 mm. Mean a, b, c, d angle were 105.8, 122.4, 32.4, $20.5^{\circ}$. Male's calcaneus is significantly bigger than female's (p<0.001). Conclusion: AP calcaneus length 63.6 mm, maximal height 43.7 mm is considered to be helpful in making the Korean calcaneal plate.

Generating Curved Lines in a Windows based Navigation Mesh (윈도우 기반 네비게이션 메쉬에서 곡선 생성 기법)

  • In this paper, methods are proposed for creating a curved line in a navigation mesh, which is used in a windows based virtual reality or games. The main geographies used in a windows based virtual reality or games are created by using either grids or navigation meshes. When using grids, it is difficult to create a natural geography. Multiple grids are needed to ensure precise descriptions, which can result in system overload. A navigation mesh was developed to address this issue since the navigation mesh has the benefit of placing fewer loads on the system than a grid method. The drawback, however, is that the movements of character in navigation mesh are less natural. In this paper, a method for creating a curved line using round curves is proposed in order to resolve this issue. Using the methods for creating a curved line proposed in this paper in a windows based virtual reality or games will eliminate the unnatural or awkward movement of characters that arises in the use of a navigation mesh.

A Study on the Development and Surface Roughness of Roller Cam SCM415 by 5-Axis Machining (5축 가공에 의한 SCM415 롤러 캠 개발과 표면조도 연구)

  • In this study, we carried out the each lines of section, using GC (green silicon carbide) whetstone, the SCM415 material which separated by after and before heat treatments process, in 3+2 axis machining centers for integrated grinding after cutting end mill works, the spindle speed 8000 rpm and feed rate 150 mm/min. For the analysis of the centerline average roughness (Ra), we measured by 10 steps stages. Using Finite element analysis, we found the result of the load analysis effect of the assembly parts, when applied the 11 kg's load on both side of the ATC (Automatic tool change) arm. The result is as follows. For the centerline average roughness (Ra) in the non-heat treatment work pieces, are appeared the most favorable in the tenth section are $0.510{\mu}m$, that were shown in the near the straight line section which is the smallest deformation of curve. In addition, the bad surface roughness appears on the path is to long by changing angle, the more inclined depth of cut, because the chip discharging is not smoothly.

  • The radial mapping rule in bounding surface model was experimentally investigated by analyzing the drained stress probe tests on Chicago clays. The experimental data obtained from 10 drained stress probe paths were analyzed to calculate the directions of the plastic strain increments. The anisotropic bounding surface model was adopted to represent a bounding yield surface which resides in the pre-consolidation yield stress of undisturbed clays. The projection origins were estimated by finding the interceptions of the straight lines passing through the current stress point and the imaginary yield stress point on the bounding surface. The results show that the projection origin is not fixed at a point but moves toward the direction of the stress probe path after it is established around the initial stress point.

  • The purpose of this research is to develop a design model of a smart jacket incorporating MP3 functionality for commercial use, as one of the digital lines of textile to apply If technology. In order to conduct this study, the previous studies were analyzed and usability and wearability tests were conducted using five prototype design models of smart wear with MP3 functionality. Accordingly, the smart jacket incorporating MP3 functionality for commercial use, for which user-centered interface, usability and wearability were completed, was developed by optimizing the design and location of the input interface, control module, the path of wires and earphone etc., based on textile wire and keypad. The smart jacket targets the female dress market from late-teens to early twenties. It will be a high value commodity considers all aspects of recent fashion trends, consumers' emotional satisfaction and the value of digital wear.

Domestic Efforts for SFCL Application and Hybrid SFCL (국내 초전도 한류기 요구와 하이브리드 초전도 한류기)

  • We present domestic efforts for superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) application in the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) grid and pending points at issue. KEPCO's decision to upgrade the 154 kV/22.9 kV main transformer from 60 MVA to 100 MVA cast a problem of high fault current in the 22.9 kV distribution lines. The grid planners supported adopting an SFCL to control the fault current. This environment friendly to SFCL application must be highly dependent upon the successful development of SFCL having specifications that domestic utility required. The required conditions are (1) small size of not greater than twice of 22.9 kV gas insulated switch-gear (GIS), (2) sustainability of current limitation without the line breaking by circuit breakers (CB) for maximum 1.5 seconds. Also, optionally, recommended is (3) the reclosing capability. Conventional resistive SFCLs do not meet (1) $\sim$ (3) all together. A hybrid SFCL is an excellent solution to meet the conditions. The hybrid SFCL consists of HTS SFCL components for fault detection and line commutation, a fast switch (FS) to break the primary path, and a limiter. This characteristic structure not only enables excellent current limiting performances and the reclosing capability, but also allows drastic reduction of HTS volume and small size of the cryostat, resulting in economic feasibility and compactness of the equipment. External current limiter also enables long term limitation since it is far less sensitive to heat generation than HTS. Semi-active operation is another advantage of the hybrid structure. We will discuss more pending points at issues such as maintenance-free long term operation, small size to accommodate the in-house substation, passive and active control, back-up plans, diagnosis, and so on.
