In this paper, a design and control of the safe arm with passive compliant joints(PCJ) is presented. Each PCJ has a magneto- rheological damper and maximum 6 springs. Compliance analysis in Cartesian space is performed with the compliance ellipsoid; this analysis shows a map between compliance in the joint space and compliance in Cartesian space. Vibration control of the arm using an input shaping technique is also presented; the results of a simulation and an experiment prove that a fast motion of the safe arm without residual vibration can be performed.

The network weather map and bandwidth time-series graph are popularly used to understand the current and past traffic condition of NSP, ISP, and enterprise networks. These systems collect traffic performance data from a SNMP agent running on the network devices such as routers and switches, store the gathered information into a DB, and display the network performance status in the form of a time-series graph or a network weather map using Web user interface. Most of current enterprise networks are constructed in the form of a hierarchical tree-like structure with multi-Gbps Ethernet links, which is quietly different from the national or world-wide backbone network structure. This paper focuses on the network weather map for current enterprise network. We start with the considering points in developing a network weather map system suitable for enterprise network. Based on these considerings, this paper proposes the best way of using SNMP in constructing a network weather map system. To prove our idea, we designed and developed a network weather map system for our campus network, which is also described in detail.

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether group III muscle afferents play an important role eliciting abnormal blood pressure response mediated during passive muscle stretch in prehypertensive individuals. Eleven middle-aged prehypertensive men (average BP 133/80 mmHg) and nine middle-aged normotensive men (average BP 119/74 mmHg) participated in this study. After 1 min rest baseline data collection, the subject's foot was flexed (dorsiflexion) by an automated cybex for one minute. Systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), mean arterial blood pressure (MAP), heart rate, stroke volume, cardiac output, and total peripheral resistance were continuously measured on a beat-by-beat basis from a finger via a Finapres device for 1 minute. To evaluate the role of mechanoreflex, a component of exercise pressor reflex, SBP, DBP, and MAP responses over the course of time were examined. The results showed that the pressor response mediated by the muscle mechanoreflex was faster in prehypertensive individuals compared to the normotensive individuals. The substantial pressor response was observed within mean 20 sec of the onset of passive stretch in prehypertension, while mean 45 sec in normotension (p<0.05). It is concluded that excessive pressor response produced during exercise in prehypertension may be due to the dysfunction of the mechano-receptors.

An appendix to the MAP 3.0 specification notes that there are primary advantages to use of fiber optics : noise immunity, ability to run in difficult electrical environments, safety and high data rates. All of these may be quite useful in various manufacturing environments. In this paper, we study on construction schmes for a fiber-based 802.4 MAP system including the use of both bus and star topologies. We suggest passive star network and FDDI network for manufacturing environment. And then, we propose the FDDI protocol including the use a dual ring topology running at 100 Mbps to physical and datalink layer of MAT specification and analysis it's protocol and topology for abilities in manufacturing environments, We evaluate about applications service, time-critical processing and topology of two models in manufacturing environment.

Dancer system is typically used equipment for attenuation of tension disturbances. In industrial converting machines, a composite type of dancer system is applied which is mixture of active and passive dancer. It includes feedback position control loop of roll with pendulum dancer and its characteristics is different from passive and active one. In this paper, a mathematical model of the pendulum dancer was derived including PI position feedback controller and it was analyzed by using a pole-zero map and bode plot under various conditions. It was found out that velocity, length of span and inertia were associated with the performance of regulation. It was suggested that the length of upstream span should be greater than that of the downstream and the inertia should be smaller for improvement of the performance. The results can be used for design guidelines of the industrial dancer system.
In most multimedia systems, the environment is considered as a passive background. In virtual environment simulating real world, however, terrain affects many events such as wind, rain, cloud. Therefore, it is necessary to model terrain and meteorological phenomenon in order to simulate realistic virtual environment. In those modeling, not only height and location information but also environmental factors such as temperature and humidity are important. An event is composed of many activities and subevents based on causality and consists of precondition , procedure and effects. Each part of an event is formulated in terms of a number of parameter variables, which correspond to its associated factors on existence or states of entities and relation. This paper represents terrain and environmental factor using contour map. Moreover, we define various events and their procedures in terms of causality in virtual environment.
This paper aims to develop a map for optimized class space using ZEP among the metaverse platforms. As a research method, the classroom space was organized so that the subject of learning became a learner, and the classroom space was modified and supplemented to optimize while being applied to elementary school computer classes. The contents of the study investigated learners' prior perception of metaverse, and compared and analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of the metaverse platform. In addition, the map was designed by reflecting the results of the survey, and after applying the map to the class, necessary APIs and apps were installed to supplement it. As a result, the learner became the subject of learning in the metaverse space, freely identified the space, and actively participated in the class. In particular, we found that students who were passive offline and those who had a low participation rate due to lack of skills participated more actively. In particular, students who were passive offline or whose participation was low due to lack of skills participated more actively. If API and JavaScript programs are added to collect log data of learners for learning analysis, real-time feedback is possible for learners, and learner feedback is possible for instructors with statistical data. If this is possible, the metaverse space can fully expect the role of a learning assistant for learners and a teaching assistant for instructors.
The effects of packaging methods on the storage quality of minimally processed (prepeeled) onions were investigated to determine the optimal packing design. Various packaging treatments used for modifying headspace atmospheres included two passive MAP using LDPE and PP films, two active MAP using a gas mixture of 20% $O_2/10%\;CO_2/balance\;N_2$ and an ethylene scavenging sachet, and moderate vacuum packaging (MVP). The quality attributes of onion samples were evaluated periodically in terms of flesh weight loss, color of cut surface, decay ratio, microbial counts, and sensory properties during storage at $10^{\circ}C$ for 28 days. Packaging methods did not significantly influence surface color, weight loss, and microbiological populations of mesophiles, psychrotrophs, and lactic acid bacteria. They did, however, affect sensory characteristics as well as decay occurrence. Results indicated that seal-packaging with a gas-permeable plastic film under a mild vacuum condition could retain better onion quality in terms of microbial decay and visual sensory aspects as compared with the other packages.
Mast cells is the key effector cells for IgE-mediated allergic responses. In this study, we investigated whether Rhus trichocarpa extract (RT) inhibited IgE-mediated allergic responses in mast cells and an allergic animal model. We further tried to find its mechanism of action in mast cells. We found that RT suppressed antigen-stimulated degranulation and production of TNF-${\alpha}$ and IL-4 in rat basophilic leukemia (RBL)-2H3 mast cells and bone marrow-derived mast cells (BMMC), as well as IgE-mediated passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA) in mice. As the mechanism of action of RT, it inhibited the activation of spleen tyrosine kinase (Syk), a pivotal signaling molecule for activation of mast cells and that of LAT, a downstream adaptor molecule of Syk in $Fc{\varepsilon}RI$-mediated signal pathways. RT also suppressed the activation of mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinases and Akt. The current results demonstrated for the first time that RT has the anti-allergic effect through inhibiting degranulation and secretion of cytokines by suppression of Syk in antigen-stimulated mast cells. Therefore, RT might be useful for allergic diseases.
