  • This paper describes an investigative study for Wind Noise of Passenger Cars. Using statistical method of analyzing jury preference data, we extract important sound quality metrics for subjective feeling and also md important frequency band. It will be helpful for development of wind Noise improvement.

승용차량용 연료탱크 슬로싱 현상에 대한 실험적 고찰 및 평가 방법에 대한 연구 (Experimental Study and Evaluation Method for Sloshing Noise of Fuel Tank on Passenger Vehicle)

  • The signal patterns of slosh noise produced by the fuel tank of a passenger vehicle are characterized by analyzing vehicle interior noise, fuel tank vibration, and near-field noise radiated from the fuel tank. This paper also shows the noise transfer path analysis results performed from the fuel tank to the vehicle inside. On top of them, physical index is described, demonstrating a good correlation with subjective feeling of slosh noise. It is essential to identify the main noise transfer paths for redesigning of the fuel tank system aiming at reducing slosh noise and also helpful to apply physical index in evaluating and reducing this noise. It is found that structure-borne path is the main root of slosh noise and a value reveals a good correlation with subjective feeling.

  • Power steering systems play an important role for the vehicle handling characteristics and driver's steering center feeling during straightforward driving situation. In this paper, the rotary valve, the main component of power steering systems, is modeled and analyzed, and is combined with a 3-DOF(degree of freedom) lateral dynamics model of passenger cars to examine the effects of design parameters on the vehicle steering characteristics. The results can be applied to the development of advanced power steering systems for passenger cars such as electronically-con-trolled power steering system.

  • Sound quality is becoming the major concern in passenger vehicle. The study on it has been done recently but it is not good enough. In order to improve the sound quality in passenger vehicle, so many noise sources must be considered and human feeling to the noise also be taken into account. In this paper, the sound quality was analyzed by vehicle road test which was carried out with varying the traveling speed. As basic factors for sound quality, only objective factors are considered such as loudness, sharpness, speech intelligibility, sound pressure level ... etc. The relations between sound pressure level and other factors are discussed from a point of view of traveling speed dependency. The frequency dependency of sound quality factor is also analyzed by frequency analysis.

  • This paper researched the adiabatic characteristic, safety and sound insulation characteristic of rolling stock window pane type and transition process of korean train vehicle window glass, and also including investigating a hereafter course of development. The window pane have provided the romantic feeling and the external scenery of train travel to the passenger in period of korea 110 year railway history. From the adiabatic viewpoint, this paper reviewed heat conductivity(U-value) and solar factor according to window pane type, including the safety and sound transmission loss of window pane.

시트 백 프레임의 형상에 따른 구조 해석에 관한 연구 (Study on Structural Analysis due to Configuration of Seat Back Frame)

  • 승차감이나 안전에 관련된 부분 중 하나인 자동차 시트는 차량 주행시 전달되는 충격이나 진동을 적절하게 흡수하여 승객에게 안락성을 제공한다. 또한 이러한 여건을 만족시키면서 승객의 안전을 보장하는 충분한 강성과 강도를 가져야 한다. 자동차 시트는 2가지의 모델로 설계를 하고 구조 해석을 하였다. 그 결과, 시트 백 프레임의 모델(b)가 (a)보다 적은 변형량과 피로 수명을 보였고. 모델의 중앙에 해당되는 허리부분에서 가장 많은 변형량과 파손 가능성을 보였다. 고유진동수를 적용한 진동해석에서, 모델(a)의 경우는 모델의 바깥쪽에서 안쪽으로 변형이 되었고, 모델(b)의 경우는 모델의 안쪽에서 바깥쪽으로 변형이 되었다. 전반적으로 모든 면에서 모델(b)가 (a)보다 구조적으로 안전하다고 사료된다.

제동 강성감 향상 인자에 대한 해석 및 검증에 관한 연구 (A Study on Analysis and Test for Improvement Factors of Brake Stiffness Feeling)

  • Conventional brake system was used for passenger cars and SUV for a long time. However, the high performance brake system has strongly required because of increase of engine power and customer's favorites etc. In this paper, a new high performance brake system for Europe was proposed. For this system, the high performance caliper and disc were newly developed. The superiorities of the developed high performance brake system were verified via heat capacity, hydraulic stiffness, corrosion and harsh braking mode test. Also, the high performance caliper and disc for the light-weight were applied to AL-Alloy and can obtain the weight reduction effect of 2.9 kg per vehicle. Finally, a developed high performance brake system is expected to be used for realization of the high performance at the same platforms.

  • 철도차량의 승차감은 승객이 느끼는 감정이므로 물리적인 진동의 크기뿐만 아니라 인간의 감응도(느낌)도 고려하여야 하며, 이러한 진동에 대한 인간의 감응도를 나타낸 것이 주파수 보정곡선이다. 주파수 보정곡선은 라플라스 변환형태의 전달함수이기 때문에 이 전달함수를 직접 사용하여 시간 영역에서의 승차감의 평가가 불가능하다. 이를 해결하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 라플라스 변환형태의 전달함수를 시간 영역에서 사용할 수 있는 전달함수로 변환하는 방법을 제시하고 다양한 예제를 통해 이 방법에 대한 타당성을 입증하였다.

궤도선형 계산 및 수량 산출 프로그램 개발 (Computerized Railway Alignment Evaluation and Construction Quantity Estimation)

  • To maintain the stability during the operation of railway vehicle, the perfect installation of rail, namely the orbit as well as the performance of the railway vehicle itself is required. The orbit of railway needs the intensity and elasticity that stands the shock and vibration due to the weight of the railway vehicle enough, Also, the driving safety during the operation of vehicle should be guaranteed, comfortable feeling of the passenger should be maintained, and the influence of the noise and vibration to the environs should be minimized. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a program that calculates the change of construction cost according to the selection of railway orbit. This study introduces the orbit design automation program according to the selection of railway orbit, and discuss the principle and the way to use of the program.
