시속 200km급 고속철도차량의 공조시스템 소음저감기술개발 (Noise Reduction of HVAC Equipment for High Speed Train Operating at 200km/h)

  • This study represents the technique about the noise reduction of HVAC equipment for high speed train(HST) operating at 200km/h. HST is different from the low speed train in the various points as well as the speed. Especially, the noise of cabin is closely related to the comfort of passenger and the noise from HVAC is one of main noise source in the cabin. In this study, the noise from HVAC was reduced by 5 dB(A) using the concept of multiple resonator and guide vein. Therefore, the noise of cabin decreased from 60 dB(A) to 55 dB(A) at the center of the cabin.

  • In this paper, the process of development of resilient sleepers, which improves the train safety, passenger comfort and reduces the noise and vibration, is presented. To optimize the bonding method between elastic pad and PC sleeper, special pad shape like arrow is adopted and is applied in manufacturing. Bonding strength and reduction effects of vibration of the resilient sleepers are experimentally investigated. From the experiment results, it is investigated that the bonding strenth is enough to satisfaction the criteria and the vibration characteristic is also more effective for sleeper with elastic pad than that in ordinary PC form. These results indicate that the elastic pad can reduce possibility of rail-corrugations and thus resulting in the reduction of maintenance costs.

  • The open deck steel bridge is the most common type in railway bridges. Steel I-shaped girders are connected with sleepers directly without ballast and moving train loads are transmitted directly to the girder, so this bridge has weak characteristics on impact. Therefore, considerable accelerations can cause unsatisfactory dynamic behavior of the open deck steel bridge. Especially, Impact created at rail joints can increase the dynamic response of the bridge and this phenomenon would be injurious to passenger comfort. In the present study, dynamic behavior of the open deck steel bridge which has a rail joint is estimated through experimental studies and bridge-train interaction analysis considering surface irregularities by rail joints.

  • CWR technology is generally believed to contribute to the increase of train speed and bring a variety of significant advantages, such as the decrease in track works, noise and vibration as well as the improvement of passenger comfort. In CWR technology, welding is considered to be one of the most important element technologies. Among the various welding methods, gas pressure welding is the most frequently used in vicinity of train line station since the operation is simple and the instruments are not heavy. The gas pressure welding is constructed exactly by good manual book on which simple and excellent welding methods is written and has the same performance as raw material. But this can be poor in the variety of the processing of rail end surface to be welded, the control of oxyacetylene flame and axil compressive force. 장대레일 교량의 지간병화에 따른 궤도 축력 연구 (A Study on the Track Longitudinal Force on the CWR track bridge with variable span length)

  • Where the track is continuously welded over a bridge, the longitudinal force is interacted between the track and the sub-structure. Due to this respect, the expansion joint is used to decrease this force. But the expansion joint has several problems related to passenger comfort and maintenance etc. In this study, it is analysed about how the stability of the track is affected as the span length becomes longer in case of 2-span continuos bridge. It is found that there is no problem of an stability unless the span length is longer than 90m when the elastic shoe is used. And several parametric studies were also implemented.

  • Tilting system allow the train to pass curve at higher speed without affecting passenger comfort. As the tilting trains offer the optimum means of providing faster and more comportable rail service with minimum of environmental disturbance and capital investment, more than 14 countries have now adopted or are about to adopt tilting train technology. The Korean National Railroad is also planing to apply faster tilting train to the areas where the High speed rail service are not provided. This paper shows the concept design of Bogie and Tilting system for 180 km/h Express tilting train for Korean conventional line, which was done as a part of the KNR's R&D project.

  • The high speed train service will be offered for high-quality transport service in existing railway by Korean National Railroad(KNR). Therefore, this paper presents the results of analysis carried out to determine the dynamic response characteristics of deck plate girder bridges which are representative elevated structures of existing railway and to evaluate their suitabilities for supporting Korea Train Express(KTX) trainsets in the speed range 0-250 km/h. Their dynamic characteristics are analyzed concerning structural safety, train-operation safety and passenger comfort. The simplified method for 2-dimensional train/track/bridge interaction analysis is utilized in the analysis of dynamic behaviors of deck plate girder bridges.

KTX 객실내 공기청정도 측정 (The Measurement of the Indoor Air Quality in KTX Train)

  • Indoor air quality is an important determinant of human health and comfort. However, the complexity of pollution sources and the multitude of parties responsible for creating indoor exposures makes the improvement of air quality difficult. The KTX HVAC(Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning) system is important facility to provide comfortable environment passenger service. The Ministry of Environment is planning to enforce$\square\square$Indoor Air Quality Management law in Public Facilities$\square\square$in year 2008. Hereupon, the train and the subway are included. In this research air quality in the KTX Train compartment has measured. As a result, The average amounts of PM10(particulate matters), $CO_2$(carbon dioxide)measured $20{\mu}g/m^3$, 1,097ppm in KTX respectively. There are compare to regulation the value is 10% for PM10 and 43% for $CO_2$. Thus, the indoor air quality of KTX train have been proved satisfy the recommendation the Ministry of Environment guidelines.

차체 기밀특성이 선루프 성능에 미치는 영향 연구 (Study of Effects of Body Leakage on Performance of a Sunroof)

  • Some passenger cars with sunroofs open at tilted positions experience reverse flows into cabin rooms and wind noises much louder compared to other cars. In this study, flows around open sunroofs are numerically studied with the variations of body leakage. The effects of body leakage on ventilation and wind noise of a sun roof are examined, in particular. Furthermore, flow visualization, pressure, and noise measured from wind tunnel and road tests are presented. The results show that too small body leakage results in poor performance of ventilation and generates high wind noise around a sunroof. It is therefore very important to secure an adequate body leakage from the early design stage to achieve better performance of a sunroof as well as passengers' comfort related to HVAC(Heating, Ventilation, and Airconditioning).
