  • Nonlinear time series prediction is derived and compared between statistic of modeling and neural network method. In particular mean squared errors of predication are obtained in generalized random coefficient model and generalized autoregressive conditional heteroscedastic model and compared with them by neural network forecasting.

  • For the stress-strengh function, hierarchical Bayes estimations considered under squared error loss and entropy loss. In particular, the desired marginal postrior densities ate obtained via Gibbs sampler, an iterative Monte Carlo method, and Normal approximation (by Delta method). A simulation is presented.

  • A new manufacturing process is presented for automotive drive plate using a boron-containing carbon steel sheet, which is hot-formed and press quenched. Particular attention was given to the capability of the process in minimizing dimensional change.

  • Factors controlling water quality, water-quality standards, and normal ranges of concentrations in unpolluted fresh water and the sources of elements were explained in this paper. In particular, the sources of groundwater contamination such as the disposal of domestic waste water, landfills, chemical spills and leaking underground tanks, and agricultural and mining activities were discussed.

  • In the present paper we study a new integral transform whose kernel involves the product of two H-functions of two complex variables. Next, we establish an inversion formula for this new transform. On account of very general nature of its kernel, several other integral transforms studies earlier by many research workers viz., Bose (1952), Mukherji (1962), Nigam (1963), Rathie (1965), Singh (1969), Mittal & Goel (1973), and Gupta, Garg & Kalla (1975), follow as its particular cases.

  • The main purpose of this article is to compare different mapping techniques, so that an appropriate one may be chosen for a particular cave. Ultra-accurate techniques such as using tripods are not discussed here, as their application is limited to a small minority of caves. Most modem mapping is carried out under time restraints, due to the shortness of an expedition or the difficulty of a cave; thus, rapid mapping techniques are emphasized here.(omitted)
