  • Customers of different electricity consumer types have different daily load shapes in the manner of different characteristics. Therefore, maximally capture load shape variability are desirable in load flow analysis. And most of time, such load shape variability can be found in the particular subspace of load diagrams. Therefore, in this paper, we are using subspace projection method to capture the emerging subspaces of load diagrams which maximize the difference between particular load shapes in different group of customers. As the result, subspace projection method can be used in load profiling and the performance is good as traditional approaches.

  • Despite a huge amount of foreign assistance and close economic guidance by international donors throughout the past decades, Zambia today still suffer from a high level of aid dependency and the absence of sustainable economic development. In this study, I investigate the factors that resulted in aid (and development) failure in Zambia, focusing on institutional/historical contexts. I propose that in Zambia, government has largely failed to implement (or even produce) effective economic policies that could lead to successful use of foreign assistance for long-term, sustainable development. In particular, I focus on the nature of state and politics in Zambia, and argue that failed politics is one of the main causes of development and aid failure in Zambia and highlight colonial legacies and other contextual/institutional factors to understand the nature of politics and state in Zambia. In particular, this paper proposes that the Zambian case demonstrates that foreign aid and donor influence could worsen the situation directly by simply providing wrong guidance and also by further weakening the state (and institutional) capacity of the recipient country.

  • Attempts are being made to provide various tactile feedbacks to user. In particular, a variety of soft actuators are being inserted into the tactile feedback device to give a more flexible, soft and strong stimulation. In this study, a basic study was performed to utilize a hydraulically amplified self-healing electrostatic (HASEL) actuator as a tactile feedback actuator. The HASEL actuator showed great displacement and force with a simple circuit configuration. In particular, by making the actuator in a circular shape, the angle was reduced and the electrode was arranged in a ring shape to maximize the displacement of the central part. As a result, the HASEL actuator showed a displacement difference according to the input waveform. In addition, in order to use it safely as an actuator for tactile feedback, we covered the surface with silicone and confirmed that the actuator works well. Using these actuators, it will be possible to manufacture a lightweight, portable tactile feedback device.

  • We show that if M is a Utumi module, in particular if M is quasi-continuous, then M = Q ⊕ K, where Q is quasi-injective that is both a square-full as well as a dual-square-full module, K is a square-free module, and Q & K are orthogonal. Dually, we also show that if M is a dual-Utumi module whose local summands are summands, in particular if M is quasi-discrete, then M = P ⊕ K where P is quasi-projective that is both a square-full as well as a dual-square-full module, K is a dual-square-free module, and P & K are factor-orthogonal.

  • Since Knaster, Kuratowski, and Mazurkiewicz established their KKM theorem in 1929, it was first applied to topological vector spaces mainly by Fan and Granas. Later it was extended to convex spaces by Lassonde and to extensions of c-spaces by Horvath. In 1992, such study was called the KKM theory by ourselves. Then the theory was extended to generalized convex spaces or G-convex spaces. Motivated by such spaces, there have appeared several particular types of artificial spaces. In 2006 we introduced abstract convex spaces which contain all existing spaces appeared in the KKM theory. Later in 2014-2020, Khahn and Quan introduced "topologically based existence theorems" and the so-called KKM structure. In the present paper, we show that their structure is a particular type of already known KKM spaces.

  • The article reviews the quality of information on the Internet in general and health information in particular, where the accumulation and steady increase of information available on the Internet, without concern for its quality or importance, and regardless of the target audience, in addition to the lack of evidence of its credibility such as the availability of the name of the editor and references, and the availability of the name of an academic or research body responsible for that information. Add to this the lack of bibliographic data that can help infer the novelty of the information, and verify the element of trust in it . The problem is exacerbated with regard to the health information available on the Internet, due to its danger resulting from the presence of false health information that may cause danger to human health if relied upon. Through this article, the researcher proposes criteria that can help users search for information to measure the degree of quality, trust, and credibility of information in general and health information available on the Internet in particular.

  • With Unity creating footage is possible by using 3D motion, 2D motion, particular, and sound. Even post-production video editing is possible by combining the footage. In particular, Cinemachine, a suite of camera tools for Unity, that greatly affects screen layout and the flow of video images, can implement most of the functions of a physical camera. Visual aesthetics can be achieved through it. However, as it is a part of a game engine. Thus, the understanding of the game engine should come first. Also doubts may arise as to how similar it is to a physical camera. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to examine the advantages and cautions of virtual cameras in Cinemachine, and explore the potential for development by implementing storytelling directly.

  • Drones, which were early operated by remote control, have evolved to enable autonomous flight by combining various sensors and software tools. In particular, autonomous flight of drones was possible since the application of GNSS-RTK (global navigation satellite system with real-time kinematic positioning), a precision satellite navigation technology. For instance, unmanned drone delivery based on GNSS-RTK data was demonstrated for pizza delivery in Korea for the first time in 2021. However, the vulnerabilities of GNSS-RTK should be overcome for delivery drones to be commercialized. In particular, jamming in the navigation system and low positioning accuracy in urban areas should be addressed. Solving these two problems can lead to stable flight, takeoff, and landing of drones in urban areas, and the corresponding solutions are expected to establish a hybrid positioning technology. We discuss current trends in hybrid positioning technology that can either replace or complement GNSS-RTK for stable drone autonomous flight.

  • Recently, many studies have been conducted on ways to utilize AI technology in NIDS (Network Intrusion Detection System). In particular, CNN-based NIDS generally shows excellent performance. CNN is basically a method of using correlation between pixels existing in an image. Therefore, the method of generating an image is very important in CNN. In this paper, the performance comparison of CNN-based NIDS according to the image generation method was performed. The image generation methods used in the experiment are a direct conversion method and a one-hot encoding based method. As a result of the experiment, the performance of NIDS was different depending on the image generation method. In particular, it was confirmed that the method combining the direct conversion method and the one-hot encoding based method proposed in this paper showed the best performance.

  • Under feudalism, besides imploring investiture, tribute is said to be one of the two most typical activities at the core of diplomatic relations between China and the region, in particular, Vietnam and Japan. By using the comparative method and interdisciplinary approach, the author shows that there are many differences between Vietnam and Japan with regards to tribute activity with China during the feudal period. For example, the start and end of China's tributary activities with Vietnam and Japan are not the same. The period of Japanese tributary activity was much more loosened than Vietnam. Vietnamese tributary relation was political, while Japan placed economic benefits as the main priority. In particular, the author also proved that although Japan and China had differences in behavior and level of dependence on the tributary activity of Vietnam, both Vietnam and Japan maintained independence and autonomy. Based on the historical, cultural, and geographical characteristics, as well as the position and force correlation of each country in relation to China, this article also explains the causes of these similarities and differences.
