Our paper is devoted to the study of certain diophantine equations on the ring of polynomials over a finite field, which are intimately related to algebraic formal power series which have partial quotients of unbounded degree in their continued fraction expansion. In particular it is shown that there are Pisot formal power series with degree greater than 2, having infinitely many large partial quotients in their simple continued fraction expansions. This generalizes an earlier result of Baum and Sweet for algebraic formal power series.

We provide a partial differential equation for European options on a stock whose price process follows a general geometric Riemannian Brownian motion. The existence and the uniqueness of solutions to the partial differential equation are investigated, and then an expression of the value for European options is obtained using the fundamental solution technique. Proper Riemannian metrics on the real number field can make the distribution of return rates of the stock induced by our model have the character of leptokurtosis and fat-tail; in addition, they can also explain option pricing bias and implied volatility smile (skew).

A beamforming method is a kind of spatial filter that focus the amy's signal capturing abilities in a desired direction. In this paper, we detect the location of a source under reflective condition using the multi-dimensional MUSIC algorithm then, we can iud the image source locations from the experimental geometry, and we reconstruct the partial fields for direct wave and reflected wave by using Adaptive nulling algorithm. Numerical simulations are performed to verify its performance under various conditions.

Principal Component Regression(PCR) and Partial Least Squares Regression(PLSR) are the two most popular regression techniques in chemometrics. In the field of chemometrics usually the number of regressor variables greatly exceeds the number of observation. So we have to reduce the number of regressors to avoid the identifiability problem. In this paper we compare PCR and PLSR techniques combined with various robust regression methods including regression depth estimation. We compare the efficiency, goodness-of-fit and robustness of each estimators under several contamination schemes.

In this paper, we developed HPF (high pass filter) consisted of lumped LC components to decrease the noises that are detected in PD (partial discharge) measuring test, and adapted it to field test.

Magnetization loss of a Bi-2223 tape in magnetic fields parallel to the tape surface was measured by a magnetization method. The results indicate that the magnetization loss is hysteretic because the measured loss agrees well with calculated one from a critical state model. In the full field penetration case the magnetization loss increases with the frequency but in the partial field penetration case the influence of the frequency is opposite.

본 논문에서는 n=2m과 흘수 소수 p에 대해서 유한테 $F_{p^{n}}$ 에서 소체 $F_{p}$ 로의 새로운 일반화 벤트 함수를 $F_{p^{n}}$에서 정의된 partial spread를 이용하여 생성한다. 또한 제안된 일반화 벤트 함수와 그것의 트레이스 변환된 함수를 트레이스 함수를 이용하여 표현한다.

In this study, analysis is performed on entropy generation during cilia transport of water based titanium dioxide nanoparticles in the presence of viscous dissipation. Moreover, thermal heat flux is considered at the surface of a channel with ciliated walls. Mathematical formulation is constructed in the form of nonlinear partial differential equations. Making use of suitable variables, the set of partial differential equations is reduced to coupled nonlinear ordinary differential equations. Closed form exact solutions are obtained for velocity, temperature, and pressure gradient. Graphical illustrations for emerging flow parameters, such as Hartmann number (Ha), Brinkmann number (Br), radiation parameter (Rn), and flow rate, have been prepared in order to capture the physical behavior of these parameters. The main goal (i.e., the minimizing of entropy generation) of the second law of thermodynamics can be achieved by decreasing the magnitude of Br, Ha and ${\Lambda}$ parameters.

본 논문에서는 Knoop 등이 2004년에 제안한 추론적 부분 중복 제거 알고리즘을 개선한다. 본 연구에서는 기존 추론적 부분 중복 제거에서 최적화가 적용되지 않는 영역이 발생될 수 있는 문제를 제기하고 이 문제에 대한 해법을 제안한다. 개선된 추론적 부분 중복 제거 알고리즘은 컴파일러의 프로필링 기법을 통해 얻어진 실행 빈도에 대한 정보를 통해 실행 속도 최적화를 수행하며 메모리 최적화도 수행한다.
